Double length, so in effect 40 regular roles. Not as cheap as it has been, but a good price given the current shortage.

  • +1

Thanks, would rather paying a few bucks extra now to stress over not having TP in a few weeks if we still can't get it

  • Hehe, got some. Time to spread it among my family.

    • +8

      TP or COVID-19?

      • +1

Good one, had a solid chuckle. TP.

      • Yes

  • +7

At some point people are going to look at their bank statement and the room full of toilet paper and realise they have over capitalised on bog rolls.

When the shelves are full of toilet paper maybe the stock market will go back up!

I predict we'll be well supplied with toilet paper next week for 3 weeks until when everyone gets their supply of panic bought sheds from Bunnings to be filled with products from the super market.

    • +1

I thought TP supplies would have returned to normal by now but the shelves are still empty.

Definitely worth paying a little bit extra for the convenience and piece of mind given the circumstances.

    Those clicks lol

  • annnnnddddd GONNNEEE

  • +1

Toilet paper rolls are the new Eneloops….

    • +3

      Sure are. Reusable too!

    • +4

      Eneloops

Eneloops you have to charge it to use it and this one you have to discharge to use it.

  • +25

    Thanks OP, got one!
@ all those who say price is no good: I was one of those who did not
panic, and I didn’t stock up when everyone else was buying rolls like no tomorrow.
In the last 2 weeks, me and family have wasted time, petrol and money, visiting all local supermarkets that, so far, had no available stock.
IMHO $20 delivered(double length) is a Bargain, and it will last several weeks. Most importantly, we will not have to visit 3-4 supermarkets/day looking for toilet paper rolls.

    • +10

Same, I did not indulge in panic buying and now I need to buy those things at jacked up rates. Not sure who is an idiot here, me or others who triggered panic buying. :|

    • Better visit your local TP factories. Higher chances to score a pack/box. Can be a bit dearer tho.

  • +3

if you really want good hygiene better wash your ass with some soap rather than wiping , just saying no need to trigger.

    • Agreed

    • +5

Just need to make sure you rub your anus for at least 30 seconds or Corona wont come off.

      • +3

How did it get on there in the first place though…

        • I believe it was bats, or a bio weapon lab from wuhan, or the USA government, not quite sure yet.

          • -1

            @checkingthisout:

Or maybe aliens. Stockpile those foil hats

          • @checkingthisout: A pangolin did it, 'twas payback for eating it. That pangolin is now legend to his mates.

        • Obviously doing something weird with bats.

    • +1

Gotta trigger with bidet or nerf gun. Sorry

  • missed it. fail

  • Noooooooo missed it, and what are the chances of this coming back in stock?

  • +2

Since its double length would that mean it wont fit in most toilet holders?

    • Was wondering the same thing.

    • +2

It Fits it just pushes it out a little way

  • I'm late…

  • Gone in half an hour??

    • More like 12 minutes

      • 11 mins to be precise

          11 mins and 9 seconds

I justtttttt managed to squeeze one out

    Thanks op😀

    • That's SHIT

    • No shit

    • +1

      Howdy-ho

    • Why did you squeeze one in? :D

  • -1

Damn that Broden! I’ve trialled not wiping and it’s so damn itchy.

  • They really need a number limit on this…

    • +4

      Limited to number 2.

  • This price gouging is terrible.

Just like the $7/kg bananas at the moment and 2 corns for $5. Just ridiculous.

    • +4

What gouging? These are double length, 40 rolls for $20 at the supermarket is hardly crazy when not on special.

    • +1

Amazon dont do price gouging. Their prices are the best you're gonna find. Massive amount of algorithms in the background to ensure that.

    • +2

Spoke to a vegetable supplier, they said problem is border closure means no cheap labour coming in to pick the vegetables. Weather is okay, water is okay.

I'm working on an idea to link people in hospitality out of a job with farms that need people. Means lots of phone calling.

    • +4

I normally buy Quilton double length roll TP from Wollies (only place I knew of who sells them).
They usually sell it in packs of 8, which costs around $9-$10.
I wouldn't call this deal price gouging!!
I've got Amazon Prime membership and shipping is therefore free for me - I'll be buying it from Amazon from now on as my access to the nearest Wollies is a pita.

  • +1

Good to see people not negging anymore :D

    • Toilet paper hunt is way higher up the list of priorities mate.

      • It was already of very high priority at time of that post, was a good laugh when I saw all them negs

        • The supermarkets are way more in control of stock than they were at that time too.

  • 30pk is cheaper at my local Caltex for $15

    • +3

this one is double length tho

      • +1

The queue is triple length. So pick lengths you will go to!

  • +1

save the money and use hand towels, feels better, handwash when done!

    • +1

      Or just in the shower.

      • +1

Just make sure you stamp it all into the drain properly - be considerate for the next person who uses the shower.

        • +1

          Do the waffle stomp!

  • +3

Was worried if Amazon would deliver the toilet paper because I'm on the subscription for it. Due at the end of the month , they have taken the money out of my account and said it's being delivered… Looks like they really came through

  • still waiting for a double ply triple length deal. gotta sort out those priorities

  • (profanity) strike again!

  • Costco are selling 3 ply 48 packs for something like $23.

    • Do they have much stock though? I think most are gone by 10:30 or 11am?

  • +9

    NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Oh well, back to using the Phone book.

    • Dont forget there is yellow and white to go thru.

  • +1

So much for Amazon notifying me when this would be back in stock…

    • +2

      Same. Not happy Jan.

    • Same. I haven’t received a single notification.

  • +1

Holding it for long enough for delivery is going to be a challenge.

  • I’m going to cry now

    • +6

      would you like a tissue?

      • +1

        damn…

    • Don't use and toilet paper and box tissue.

  • +6

Are we still doing this. We can't be still doing this.

    • +9

It is just ridiculous. They're not making any less toilet paper than they were a year ago. The supermarkets aren't going to be closing even in the event of a full shutdown. There is no reason to shop any differently than usual. Just shop the way you were shopping last year and there will be the same amount of stock available as there was last year. Some people need to slap themselves in the face and just keep on slapping until they lose consciousness.

      • +1

Many of the poop-at-work-ers will be doing so from home offices for the next 6-9 months. Ergo I expect the demand for toilet paper to remain high until the work-poopers can safely return to their offices for that sweet free TP.

Hopefully TP companies worldwide have worked out by now there’s an ongoing increase in demand and some are in a position where they can invest in themselves to increase their output. Though if we return to the old normal, those TP companies would have an oversupply when the poop-at-workers return to the office, so why take the risk to please this one Internet commenter? In which case, sure, increase the TP RRP prices please to lower the new demand. If required I will hand in my OzB badges.

        • From the TP companies' point of view, they wouldn't see any change. People aren't pooping any more, they're just pooping at home instead of at work. So overall consumption remains the same, therefore their output can remain the same. In fact, with thousands of people dying, overall consumption will probably drop slightly, since less people means less people pooping.

The issue is not the supply side, which has remained constant. It's the demand side, where people are buying way more than they usually would even though there is no logical reason to do so.

      Holy crap

  • Missed out again…sh1t!

  • -1

i just got 100 rolls for 40 delivered last week. Amazon actually is only place u might have a chance to stock some at reasonable price.

  • +1

Really annoyed as this is the toilet paper that we purchase. I last purchased this from Amazon prior to the toilet paper issue occurring. I had signed up for email alerts to this product yet did not get a notification from Amazon today. Hopefully it comes back into stock so that I can order again before our household runs out!

  • +3

assholes couldn't even fulfill the subscription order I've had with them for months, preferring to sell to panic buyers…(profanity) amazon.

    • +1

Same here. Also had email alerts for when back in stock.
I guess they got greedy and decided to sell them at a dearer price than the regular subscription prices 10% cheaper!!
So I will neg this on price and also for Amazons deceitful practices.

  • -1

This is OZBARGAIN not OZstupid,20 3ply for $20?Only enough stupid will buy it

    • With you on this, gone are the days of me filling the garage with cheap quilton when stacking woolies vouchers and watching the delivery guy look at me like I’m a fruitloop!
      $20.50 for $20 is a extortion!
      Neg me now poo people.

    • +2

It's actually the equivalent of 40 rolls for $20.50
Given a Quilton 3ply 20 pack retails at Coles for $10 - it's an extra 50 cents compared to Coles.

only enough stupid will buy it

Leaving easy grammar jokes aside, enough people were able to read the title for it to be gone in minutes.

What was your neg on this deal for again?
btw don't flatter yourself into thinking I wasted a neg on you lol

    • +1

Lucky you're not stupid then just unable to read

  • -8

And it is toilet paper NOT Tissue

  • Missed out
