      If you aren't raytracing the 1660ti will be more powerful

      • Is that how the laptop versions work? Because that isnt the case for the desktop versions of those cards. https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-RTX-2060-vs-Nvi…

      • https://youtu.be/QR5Rauu6-dE according to tjis video the mobile versions are the same also, RTX 2060 is better. Thid 2060 model also has a higher refresh panel and is $100 cheaper.

        • Interesting, I checked notebook compare and it does list the RTX2060 as 89 performance versus 86 for the GTX1660ti.

          Normally the ti's are roughly equivalent to the next card up. Scores were split between them however, some the 2060 was top, others the 1660ti won out.

          Doubt you'd ever get newer games pushing either 120hz or 144hz but yeah.

          • @Telios: The current XX60 series is kinda confusing due to there being 5 different cards, its GTX1660 -> GTX1660S -> GTX1660ti -> RTX2060 -> RTX2060S

    Have no idea why would someone buy this when you can get Asus tuf with Ryzen 7 and rtx 2060 for same or less if you look around.

    • Asus Tuf has bad screens and a bit lower end components (other than CPU and GPU)

  • is this machine hot?

      Machine's not hot, never hot

      This is one of the coolest 2060 laptops around, I have the 1660ti model and love it. Make sure you get the 144hz model, the 120hz model has bad colour spectrum.
