Another day, another impulse buy. Glad I didn't grab the WF-1000's the other day. Thanks OP!

Apologies (and thanks) these sold out so quickly. We were well and truly OzBargained! Unfortunately we won't be able to restock these at this stage. Enjoy your purchases!

Thanks for the deal! Didn't make it in time to get one myself (working in a hospital so was at work), but it's a very good price!

  • +1

Impulse bought to add to my never-ending collection of headphones / earphones / earbuds.

  • Got the Sony NC earphone already and bought this headphone as well, hope someone can tell me what are the benefits of headphone over earphone..

    • +1

      It's really about preference/personal taste

      earphones portable, headphones bulkier

earphones may cause discomfort in your ear canal when worn too long as generally want it in snug for a good seal against outside noises

headphones are usually comfortable (but depends on the clamp force and your head size, clamp force which may loosen up after a while)

      etc etc

  • There seems to be stock right now but at $200!

    • Yeah noticed that too… :(

    • fixed

  • In stock again. But the price???!!

    • fixed

so much for the rep's claim that they won't be restocked.

  • Thanks OP, bought mine this afternoon. Perfect timing as my PXC550 headphones just died.

  • Mine has an issue where the headphones produce a really annoying sound when in ambient mode. Really irritates my ears. Also, there are only 2 modes to choose from: Noise cancellation on, and Ambient aware on (aka transparency mode, lets outside noise in). No option to turn NC off and use as a regular pair of headphones. Another thing to mention, using headphones with the included 3.5mm cable (without turning on the power) makes them sound like garbage.

    • i agree with all the points and can see why it's not selling well again bose and sony.

at $99 it's still a good bargain tho.

      • I paid about 140 for them because they flooded the market when they came bundled with the Note 10 or whatever. At $99 I wouldn't have as much regret, but you gotta keep in mind that Samsung is still selling these on their website for 500 BUCKS. Absolutely ridiculous.

  • This is the DEAL OF THE YEAR if true. An absolute steal for $99

Mine turned up today. Seriously impressed, and I also own the QC35s, PXC550s, and Backbeat Pro 2 (also used to have the Sony XM2s but sold them because only being able to connect to one BT device at a time is dumb). Very comfortable, balanced sound, really impressive NC (better than the backbeat pro 2 and PXC550, easily).

They also don't clamp my head nearly as hard as the PXC550 does.

Arrived. Well packed (i.e. they come in a good box, and in a bubble-wrap envelope, which is perfectly sufficient).

Good sound with rock, less impressive with podcasts.

Installed the app, was prompted to update the firmware, did so very painlessly.

Podcasts quite a lot better after firmware update (this could be coincidence, dunno, but definitely better now).

Overall, extraordinarily good value for money.

This vendor delivers!! Next day delivery to regional NSW for me!! Love the kit. Value ÷÷+ - a steal. For me, NC is just fine and track audio quality (on my LG V30+) is top notch - balanced out of the box with great bass punch. Suits my palate. Thanks so so much OP and Green Gadgets. You delivered. New firmware downloaded painlessly.. I'm ready to go - to err stay home for a spell like millions of others and get immersed…

  • +2

Also, they charge via USB-C, so that's a nice bonus.

This is an amazing deal. Express posted, arrived today. Amazing value. Competes heavily with the rest of the headphones in the $350-450 price range.

  • Anyone manage to connect these headphone to an iPhone and see it in the AKG app? Edit figured it out. I had to connect the audio cable then disconnect it. Once it reconnected via bluetooth the app recognised the headphones.

    • +1

Mine worked with Bluetooth without a cable. No issue.

  • I'm glad that these headphones are a lot more compact than I imagined. Track changing wasn't as bad as I thought it would be either. Both the headphones and the packaging felt premium.

Nothing else to really complain about.

  • Arrived in two days to tassie which is surprising.

Great quality and will replace my current $70 pair from Amazon. Very happy.

    • After a few days of wearing them:

When I walk away from my computer with them and return, the audio is out of sync. I have to turn them off and on again to sync the audio once more.
After an hour or two of wearing them they get slightly uncomfortable. Would be nice if I could loosen how tight around my ears they are.
People in my house are annoyed that I can't hear them when they call out to me. I suppose that's a good thing though.

  • Read reviews about bad noise canceling feature. But it works well than my expectation. And the ambiance sound also quite works well.

  • Mine came on last Friday, well pack, this vendor ship very quick.

  • I'm loving mine as well. Compared to the QC35 (the original version), the N700M2 sounds noticeably better in terms of resolution and imaging. Particularly after upgrading the firmware. Comfort-wise, however, I feel like the QC35 is WAY superior because of its lighter weight and roomier ear cups. NC is not bad but not amazing either.

  • Just got mine. These sound amazing out of the box! Noise cancellation seems great to me (but I have no reference point apart from my Backbeat Pro's which have terrible NC).

  • Got mine today, pretty impressed!

  • Got mine today as well. Stoked with the product…only wish i bought a 2nd set.

  • Anybody else getting static when noise calculation is turned on? It's definitely canceling some noise, but when I turn the headphones off and on I notice that there's some mid-frequency static (white noise) while NC is active. I don't get any static at all from my sister's Sony headphones.

Weirdly enough, when I tap one of the cans, the noise disappears for about a second and they cancel perfectly. I guess as a workaround I could continuously tap my earphones but…

    • Can't say I've noticed anything… Have you tried updating the firmware (via the "AKG Headphone" app)?

      • I have indeed updated the firmware. It’s rather bizarre. I’ve contacted Samsung and they said it’s normal for them to produce an “air sound” to block outside noise. But the Sony’s don’t have this, and it still doesn’t explain why tapping the microphone temporarily fixes it without stopping the NC. Oh well, they sound great otherwise, so still a steal at $100. But if I paid more than $300 for these I’d be pretty disappointed. Samsung offered to do a one-off courtesy replacement, which is nice.

        • I'd definitely consider the replacement if they're offering it - mine are absolutely silent with NC on.

    • Sounds like you have the ambient mode on maybe? Press the button on the right headphone to enable/disable.

  • Has anyone successfully paired their N7000NC headphones to a Macbook and been able to control the volume via the Macbook? I'm not sure it's possible (although I can control the volume when connected to my iPhone).
