all prices jacked up by 10%, so the effective discount is 5%

    • +25

Actually 6.5%, but your point certainly stands.

maths, what can it not do.

    • +5

      Yep, how is it legal?

      • +2

        It's not.

"The promotion will offer buyers a 15% discount across all eligible items in your eBay Store, up to a maximum discount of $300 (excluding postage costs). We’ll ask you to fund 10% off the item purchase price (prior to the application of the discount) of each item you sell. eBay will fund the remainder of the discount (if any and where applicable). "

this is the email that eBay send to the targeted sellers, who then accept if the want to be part of the promotion. Price is jacked up by 10% by the seller so the seller is not out of pocket due to eBay being greedy hence the price jacking

      • Can you share the full e-mail, or a screenshot, with party identities censored so we can report it?

      • or the seller could not participate and not need to jack up their prices.

Any deals on Samsung 970 evo plus 500gb?

    • I am also interested in a SSD for my PC

    • +4

There's no internal SSDs listed in this sale.

However if you search for individual sellers, you'll find they're part of another sale.

For example, iot.hub, futu and ninja.buy have 15% off their SSDs.

      Use the code PAINTED15.

      Hope this helps.

Try appliances online. No discounts for them right now but they have decent prices and amazing service.

I got this after the old version of this model finally died after 10+ years.

    • eBay has a 15% off sale atm. Check out ozbargain earlier today.

    • Serious question, how do you know they jacked up the prices?

EDIT: Asking this so I can avoid these types of stores future.

The Logitech G703 HERO was going for $117.9 before. Now it's $117.26 with the code, a whopping discount of 0.54%!

    Well played Gamesmen.

    • …Dont blame it on Gamesmen, Dont blame it on OZB, blame it on boogiEBay…

I stopped using eBay ages ago. Only use them if I can't find it anywhere else. Still bitter about them not refunding me unless I add a new credit card to my eBay account. They wouldn't even refund it to my PayPal which is what I first used before PayPal went their separate way. eBay is shit compared to Amazon or Aliexpress.

lol, good way to ruin their rep by doing this

    • Plus I love how the starting price on eBay is $138 whereas on the Gamesmen website it's only $130.

These guys always jack their prices during an ebay sale

  • Guess it's a side effect of the isolation.

    Even TheGamesMen are jacking everything

  • Switch Lite (Turquoise) console for $279 is decent deal. Delivered too.

    • beat me to it by 20 seconds haha

  • Switch Lite for $279.65. Pretty good price.

  • In the current climate, jacking is no longer a dirty word or something to avoid ;-)

  • When does this expire

    • ends at 23:59 (AEST) on 13 May 2020

  • Futu Online typical price jacked if not all the video cards
