$10 Cashback on Disney+ Yearly Subscription (New Customers Only) via ShopBack AU

1110

I received this per email offering $20 cashback but seems to be a mistake as email subject and the website says $10 cashback. Maybe Shopback rep can clarify.

Shopback Terms:

Cashback is only applicable to the purchase of an annual Disney+ subscription

Cashback is only available to new Disney+ customers

Cashback will only track once your free trial period passes (a free trial period is included with your annual subscription purchase)

Cashback will initially track at $0 and will reflect at the correct amount after the free trial period (30 days)*

Excludes taxes, fees or additional extras

*Looks like Shopback has typo in terms. Normal Disney+ trial period is 7 days

(Mod: Title should exclude post-cashback prices)

Usual warning - Shopback tend to have difficulty with any of their "upsized" cashbacks. See literally every other SB deal on Ozbargain.

Just a warning - YMMV; may work for you but likely will not. And their CS will not do anything either.

Neg for the merchant, not the deal itself.

      Agreed.

      100% This

Agree, neg for merchant not the deal. Got caught with recent 25% cashback on BWS. Sale wasn't tracked - and when I queried Shopback said they'd checked with BWS and sale wasn't attributed to Shopback, so they don't get commission. They offered to compensate me $5 v $25 I should have received PLUS they offered to "share some best practices for successful Cashback" blah, blah, blah. Told them that as they could see from my profile (almost $1k in cashback and ~250 transactions) that I think I know what i'm doing.

The bottom line is I've had several problems with Shopback and have now had enough to make me go back to using CashRewards as my main go to for cashbacks.

YMMV but I've learnt not to rely on cashback for a purchase to be a good deal i.e. always treat cashback as a bonus (if you get it).

same here, shopback somehow also not tracked, this is definetly on purpose.

Yup, I got caught out by the recent Dan Murphy's Shopback fiasco. Crazy unreliable company.

      I concur

Can I get cashback by paying using iTunes?

    • +1

      No.

  • +2

Have literally zero trust on this scammers.

  • +4

'Better saving by paying for Disney+ via Itunes. The latter often go on sale for 15% off (20% once in a while) and you don't need to be new customers. And the discount is instant, no waiting with fingers crossed that tracking works :-p

Yes do it that way, pay for 12 months.

7 usd (which is just over $10) with Cashrewards

ya, remember checking the email received this morning was a total of $20 ($69.99) but, however if u re-open the email message again, it is now $10 ($79.99)

  • I never got the 16% cashback from a Dell purchase. Emailed Cashrewards, sent receipt, wasted my time with their customer service. They lost my trust.

Shopback has a history of not paying rebate payments as offerred and blaming technical errors. Until they have systems which can carry out their offers reliably they should not be in the market making offers that they routinely fail to pay. Hence downvote.

For example, see the comments at the following:

So proceed at your own risk - you may not get your shopback amount.

FULLY AGREE. shopback are crap,,also got ripped off with their BWS 25% rebate. complete crap. have their extension, which was working, and yet, sorry, no cashback. crooks.

    Negging simply due to Shopback

  • +1

Downvoting due to poor Shopback tracking practises and subsequent support follow up.

I had a tracking issue with Shopback a while ago on a First Choice Liquor deal SB were running. I missed out on approx $60 cashback. I followed their instructions to the letter, having not had any issues tracking lesser value cashback claims prior with the same method. Anyhow..their support was lacking and absolutely hopeless (sent me generic replies). I will never use them again because of it.
