I believe they are Product of Vietnam.

        Says so in Deal Link.

Pork products from Australia. Seafood usually from Asia.

          • @[Deactivated]: Should say South East Asia since Asia includes China, India, a big part of Russia and many other countries XD

I bet you use "made in China" to post this

      • na z28 uses made in Taiwan

Same, same according to the Confucius Institute - all part of the Republic of China.

  • Offers you might have to save further.

    1. $50 spend for 4k pts plus 3x points

    2. this weekend 10% off plus 3x points

    • Targetted only?

      • I said "you might have".

Honestly, without this deal, I can hardly spend $50 in one transaction this week.

    • +1

My email stopped receiving targeted offers abruptly last month :( Any idea how to fix it?

      • +1

        Reconnect your internet!

        • Funny but no 😅

I mean I used to get just about all the targeted offers. But then it just stopped. Not sure what happened

          • @Scythic: Many people say to stop using the card and sign up another one, and then alternate

I don't fish for offers but the account that I dont use gets the better offers 95% of the time

    Mmmm tastes like mass-manufactured goodness

    • Pork products from Australia. Seafood usually from Asia.

Genuine question, why don't they use Australian seafood? Given we are girt by sea, we should have lots of seafood no?

        • +6

Our prized seafood goes overseas whom would pay a premium for it. Whatever we receive are farmed overseas and is quite a lot cheaper.

          • @love2buy: *who.

I like this brand compared to KB’s. The wrapper is thicker and tastes like more meat.

    • +2

Are you one those that eat the filling first then the skin ;)

  • where's the chicken :(

  • +2

    Where's Mr Chen's ginger prawns?

  • Stupid question, but if someone could help I'd really appreciate it. How do I view what is 50% next week? It's easy to find next week's catalogue, but I don't know how to view next week's half price specials.
    Please help me bargain better

    • Woolworths and Coles Catalogue are released Monday 5pm AEST, for catalogue starting Wednesday.

    • +2

Go to the online shopping page, then browse groceries, then specials. There should be a link to list of all the half price specials in there.
Edit- just realised you want it for the following week, not the current one. I’m not sure about that. Sorry!

You have to browse the catalogue page by page to see what's in ½ price. The ½ Price list used to be posted by Savas on OzBargin right after catalogue release.

    • Actually, search up Half Price App. Tells you what's on 50% from Coles & Woolies. Available both on android and ios. Quite lifesaving for people on a limited grocery budget.

      • Half Price app stated

All data is updated every Wednesday morning

but claingbot is asking for ways to find ½ Price on the coming week, i.e. before Wednesday.

        • Pretty sure it is not possible.

You get to see what's in the catalogue at Monday 5pm before the Wednesday morning.

You cannot see all of next weeks prices, only what show in the catalogue.

Great with some Bok Choy or other Asian greens. Bit of soy, chilli and garlic. Simple and tasty meal.

  • How are these compared to the hargow and gyoza at Costco?

    • +1

Same brand as the Costco Hargow

Got some of these last half price special, have previously had KB’s and not been satisfied. These are quite good, by comparison. My wife’s family is from Hong Kong, and we’ve had yum chas up the yin yang through our years together, so I can recognise a good dumpling. These may not necessarily be the best ever, but considering the price point they hold up very well. Handy inclusion of sauces as well.

  • Has anyone weighed the contents of the pack? I'm curious whether the soy sauce is included in the weight.

    • +1

Just opened one bought in March.

Prawn Hargow 1kg is less than 900g without sauce.

The other 3 may not have the sauce.

      • Oh thanks for that. We don't tend to use the sauce, and I did assume they would have included the sauce in the weight. Some of the large packs have 3 sauces inside which is quite alot.

        • +1

          With 3 sauces, 1050g.

        • +1

Yeah it's a scam sauce is include in the 1kg weight

          • @neonlight: I think the KBs branded gyoza is great and it doesn't include sauce.

            • -5

@imissbeans: Gyoza I prefer KB but dumplings mr Chen is ok. Avoided going to Asian grocers due to Covid-19

If they really want to be geniune HK made or brand should at least use a Cantonese surname Chan not Chen like Jackie Chan
