Worst Telco! Give hard times to most after disconnecting!

Can you elaborate on that? I got a SIM during Click Frenzy last year and it'll be near the end of the 12 month promo period.

B.S. , I left them after 2 months and joined Boost.

Never heard from them since and wasn't half bothered by them

      What makes you so special?
      🤨

I think quite a few people had issues porting out…they blocked it I believe

        • -3

I literally ported, they let me choose the nicest number , great repetitions in it, wouldn't have p@ssed on it for the world.

          • @The Milk Man: that's porting in…not out. of course they're nice to new customers.

            • -2

@[Deactivated]: I said out, I ported out of CIRCLES after 2 month with the number they gave me - and moved to BOOST, like I said the first time…

              • -1

                @The Milk Man: You said

I literally ported, they let me choose the nicest number , great repetitions in it,

So you ported out and they gave you a nice number? I was replying to your 2nd comment.

                • -4

@[Deactivated]: Why'd you stop reading the sentence tho?
When you join they let you pick a number, they let me pick my number - it had great repetitions in it - so instead of LEAVING the number, I ported it out , I would not have passed on the opportunity to have that number.

                  Bruh.

                  • @The Milk Man: This issue was with the porting out… nothing to do with the porting in/new phone number. It was lovely and I was so pleased that you got such a wonderful number. Again nothing to do with the original comment about

Worst Telco! Give hard times to most after disconnecting!

                    Nothing at all.

Agree - I cancelled after one month - even after cancellation confirmation, they kept billing. Many chats over many months with each time assuring that it was all OK. Then came the threatening letter saying they 'may' refer to a credit reporting agency. Enough was enough, I lodged a detailed TIO complaint and they finally closed it all off. So much time wasted.
Great service when it works (they're just an Optus MVNO), and good pricing - and hopefully works out for most, but when they mess up, they seem to mess up in a quite frustrating way with little recourse to getting things resolved.

On the other hand, my wife had a similar service with them, cancelled, and all was OK - so YMMV

Same here. I'm still trying to close my account from February. I have requested closure a number of times (with written confirmation) and they have also continued to send invoices to me saying that I owe them money. My next step is TIO. This process has been quite painful and a huge waste of time.

Very true if you are planning to port out after offer period.

      Horrible CS

      • Cancel anytime, no cancellation fees.

Will charge you for the whole month even if you port out failed and happened on 1st calendar day.

Be prepared to plan your port out 2 weeks prior to moving to next provider

And endless chats and emails to terminate your account.

And it is postpaid service with credit check.

      Not worth the hassle.

    • Yep, they are certainly the worst telco I have ever deal with. Signed up with their service a few months ago and all was good, up until a last week when I ported out to another provider.

Apparently my account is still active with them and they have just sent me another bill. I tried contacting them about the issue via email but they don't even respond to any of the emails I sent to them.

Should I contact the bank and revoke the direct debit authorisation so they can't take money out? Or must I contact the TIO to get this sorted out as they don't even communicate back at all.

      Freaking frustrating now…

I wouldn't bother with them anymore. I have given them the opportunity to resolve my issue to close my account numerous times and they have failed since 10 February. The actions of Circles Life would surely be considered unconscionable conduct in pursuing money from consumers that isn't owed to them with threats of late fees, and our fear of it affecting our credit rating. I have noted in my recent submission to TIO that this should be investigated further. To make things even more difficult, my other half has the same issue. This is definitely not a single case incident where an account has been left open by error.

      • Face the same frustration. Ported out 2 months ago and they continue to spam me with new outstanding invoices for month of April and May. Their billing system is a BIG mess!!

Keep asking me to provide personal details via email to verify the invoices which originate from them?? Imagine you got punch on your face on mistaken identity and the offender asks you for proof of identity. Their billing system is a BIG mess!! Would stay away from them.

Despite my original email a week ago telling Circles.Life that my mobile number has been ported out in March. Below is the ridiculous reply I received asking me to write an email to confirm porting is successful. What a MESS!!

Thank you for contacting Circles.Life. My name is xxx, your Customer Happiness Expert and I'll be glad to assist you today regarding the bill in your account.

I appreciate that you provided us the details needed to verify and pull up your account.

Upon carefully checking, I can see here that the account is still active with us with no port out request.

I understand that you have ported out your number to a different provider back in March. I would appreciate it if you could provide us an email confirming that your number was successfully transferred to your new provider. This way we can verify the port out and waive the billing in your account.

I think you need to put a bit more in your description, like how much it actually costs, not just the $18 saving it just looks like your trawling for customers and using ozb for marketing

  • Been using Circles since Dec 2019 when they did their last(?) 100GB for 12 months plan. Happy with the coverage in Sydney and don't even get close to using 5gb listening to podcasts on the way to work daily. They will frequently send emails with competitions and such to refer families and friends which get old pretty quick; But otherwise pretty happy with the service after (ironically) switching from an Optus plan.
