      I got my refund through Paypal. GeekB took 15 days to respond to Paypal but once they supplied the tracking details, Paypal refunded me quickly after I gave them a bit of a nudge.

      • So PayPal gives GeekB 15 days to respond once a claim is raised?
        Gosh, I was thinking about giving GeekB another day or two before escalating it to a claim, but if PayPal is going to give GeekB another 15 days, I might as well start the process.

        Edit: just escalated it to a claim. PayPal still gives the seller a lot of time. Wish I knew that. Anyway, by the time PayPal rules on it, it will be already over 3 months.

        • Last mile carrier for sure. Seems like they were all clogged up somewhere and finally boarded a plane or boat.

      • The PayPal interface is really weird nowadays. For claims,

        Click on the 3 dots More icon, then:
        Go to Resolution Centre,

        from there, you should be able to find and manage cases/claims.

        Otherwise, go to:

  • Frustrating this saga. No response to my attempts to get refund, nothing received. Order Number: #5214619

    Only course left it seems to be leave negative feedback to warn others.

    • I'd wait for another week or two. a lot others are starting to get their item (including me, yesterday). It might've just been released from custom very recently. great light!

      • Yeah, they are brilliant lights little. We use 3 for the hallway during the night, works great.

    • Did you pay by PayPal? Raise a dispute and escalate to a claim. You might as well start the process and it takes a while.
      If the item ended up arriving later on after the refund, you can arrange to pay the money back.

      I've gone through the process, got the refund, then the item arrived. I then contacted the CSR and they issued another order for me to pay and I paid the money.

  • I have just received an email from Paypal saying that I need to provide proof of delivery as the seller has provided info to Paypal(that I cannot see anywhere) that the item has been postmarked(?)

    It's been more than 4 months now , and more than 5 weeks since my Paypal claim, the seller still hasn't replied to my emails, I sent my order to @Clear hoping that he could help, it looks like nothing is working.
    I don't care about the money, I just want people to be aware of this disgusting tactic from GeekBuying

    • PayPal claims complicates things but I'll see what I can do.

      • Thanks Clear, but I was forced to go to Paypal as no one from GeekBuying has returned any of my emails for months now.
        Not only that, but even after opening the Paypal case due to lack of communication, GeekBuying hasn’t bothered sending me an email, any update, any tracking info that could help me wait more than 4 months. Instead they waited another month, and I’m not sure what kind of “postmarked” info they managed to send to Paypal, as I do not have any visibility.
        As I said before, it’s about the principle and not about the $10-20.

      Go back and tell them to re-check the seller's bogus tracking number.
      The item is in transit but hasn't arrived 4 months later.
      GeekB supplying those tracking numbers which NEVER arrive just delays / complicates the matter.
      It's typical conduct from them.
      Keep pushing Paypal or ask for it to be escalated to someone else.

        No, i was asked to wait for it to be delivered but this is just ridiculous. I had PMd you before when you asked as well.

        • Ah yes I see the message. That order number is in the list I provided to GeekBuying. I get an insane amount of messages/notifications here everyday so I often don't respond to enough people.

          I've raised it with my contact at Geek and that will be sorted for you.,

    • I opened a paypal dispute and received the refund.

      • Just got back from work, received an email from Geekbuying saying that THEY have refunded the full amount:” Dear gre$$$$m,
        That your order we have already contacted the paypal company full refunded back to your accoun.
        Kindly let us know if you have receive the refund now.” (???)

        Checked Paypal, and Paypal says that the claim was reviewed by them(last day was today) and “ The case was closed in your favour.”
        Should I believe Paypal or GeekBuying?
        Anyway, I’m happy the money has been refunded, even if it took that long. If this was a pregnancy, we would already be half way through 😂😂😂
