VPN required.

1.) Download & install the following VPN trial software on your phone / pc / mac > zenvpn or hotspotshield
2.) Select your location as Brazil (using Brazil ip) and click connect
3.) Visit the Xbox.com website in incognito mode on your browser and login using your Xbox Live details
4.) Redeem the code!

And these steps for best swapping XBL to Game Pass Ultimate (for new users to Ultimate):

1) Buy 12m Brazil Live Gold code via Cdkeys. $46.09
2) Using TunnelBear VPN set to Brazil log into Xbox app/Microsoft Store/Redeem code. Code should then redeem for 12m Live Gold.
3) If 2 successfully applied repeat steps 1) & 2) ONCE (max 2 Brazil codes). Note: Once 1, 2 & 3 complete you can switch VPN off.
4) Purchase 1m Ultimate (inc 2m free) for $1 via XBOX app/website/console.
5) Once 4 complete check via XBOX App/settings that you are now up to 27m ultimate.
6) Once 5 confirmed, buy 1 x 3m game pass from Cdkeys $15.99.
7) Apply code to your XBOX account via app. Extends ultimate by 2m.
8. if 7 successful repeat steps 6 & 7.
9) If 8 successful repeat steps 6 & 7.
10) if 9 successful, repeat steps 6 & 7 once more.

And a note for those already converted, 12 months Xbox Live Gold equals 4 months Game Pass Ultimate

    So I already have gamepass until Sept 2021…can I still get this and add another 12 months on to my sub?

          Yeah I learned it the hard way haha. It's still good value though, ultimate is $15.95 a month, $64 essentially. So still decent value.

    I couldn't redeem the Brazil code while my Aus XBL subscription was current. I had to wait until Aus XBL subscription expired before I was able to redeem the Brazil code.

    So really in the end you're only getting 4 months of Game Pass Ultimate. Seems a bit of fiddling about with VPN to get that and possibly getting your Xbox account banned because of it.

      You won't get banned, worst thing that can happen is the subscription gets cancelled. Even then, it's pretty rare once redeemed.

      Only way you can be banned is if you use stolen or dodgy codes from some ebay sellers or dodgy websites. CDkeys sell legit keys.

    Sorry if this is a silly question but I've never bought xbl from another country. Has anyone tried buying and redeeming this with other VPN's like Nord? I would assume it's the same steps that are already listed?

        It says $38.99 in the title but is $46ish in the instructions. Is that accounting for currency exchange or something? My game pass ultimate ran out today. Am looking to get good decent game pass length for under $40.

      When you buy from CDkeys, you get sent a code, that you need to be redeem as if you were in Brazil

        How quick a turn around is CD keys in general? Years ago I bought a code online and I had to wait 2-3 days before getting it.

    Champion! This worked great, just some additions to the instructions that I encountered:

    • Keep the VPN off when making the purchase at CDKeys else it tries to charge you a price in the currency native to whatever the VPN exit node is (Brazil for example)

    • Turn on the VPN (TunnelBear Free works just fine) and open the private mode browser window

    • Head over to https://redeem.microsoft.com to redeem the code, it asks if you want to turn on auto renewing payments for an extra free month, up to you, I did.

    • Turn off the auto renewing payment (now you have 13 months XBL)

    • Redeem your second key and again turn on auto-renew to get another free month (Because you turned it off in the step above, it asks again :P )

    • Turn off the auto renewing payment again (now you have 26 months XBL)

    • On your xbox go to the store and find the "memberships" area, select game pass and in the drop down list look for the ultimate $1 for 1 month offer, select it and go through that and finally you will end up with 27 months of XBL + Game Pass (Ultimate) at the time of writing this cost me $88.98 AUD total. Barely more than a year of XBL on its own normally!

      So.. there's a cheap subscription on CDKeys for a Brazil 12 month XBL, but it says its only available in Portuguese? Any idea if that'll affect me here in Aus?

    So i take this $38 price ended, i not used xbox in a year and i see that buying xbox live first then convert to ultimate is way to go.
    Seems a bit of a nightmare doing the brazil method and be worried i lose it etc
    I could not work out the benefit of ultimate over live gold but i did notice that loading up with live gold first is way to go.

    But it seems this deal is expired?
