Most likely three drops again - 10am, 2pm, 6pm.

The same promo code was used twice for the Airpods Pro for $249 deal. Most likely the same code from the 1/6 will be used for this deal.


For those after TLOU2 tomorrow at 10am, I'm guessing that it will be this item.

    Below is my exchange with Ebay. I guess like others have said don't use paypal for these deals.
    Any ebay sellers here that know about the format of ebay order numbers? I read that the second part of the number is the sales order number the seller sees, is that right? Eg. customer get order xx-10001-xxxxx then seller would see your have order 10001 to process.

    That sounds like a system issue. There is no limit on the amount of coupons available there is only a limit on the amount of items. If the system committed to the order then the system must have detected sufficient quantity to proceed with the order. As you said the order is already sold/committed which means there is already enough stock. So why should it limit the number of payments? It isn’t 900 coupon codes available it is 900 items. So payment should have nothing to do with committing to the order. If your system is accepting orders even though it is out of stock it would make sense to process in chronological order. Which then comes down to paypal should not be used as it would be slower as it is required to authenticate with paypal and have paypal respond before payment is accepted. So credit card has no authentication and can be processed only using the card number provided.

    Either way your system is having a problem it shouldn’t commit to an order without sufficient quantity. If I was a seller that would be very concerning if your system would enter me into legally binding contracts that I cannot fulfill. Also if your system is allowed to just cancel committed orders what is there to stop ebay from driving a seller out of business by just cancelling all that sellers orders?

    From my under standing your order numbers are formatted xx-xxxxx-xxxxx with the second lot of digits being a sales order number that is an ascending number. The person next to me at my work we both ordered this deal and he has the sales order number 052387(I have 05238), your telling me that we just happen to get the last order and first out of stock order? The only difference is he did not use paypal.

    You should change your deal conditions to first 900 payments to be clearer on the actual terms.

        Thanks for your copy paste response. I have removed paypal from ebay. I’ll post your response and recommend people to remove paypal, as most people already said to me don’t use paypal for these deals but i didn’t believe them.

        You have also avoided the fact that your system is accepting orders when the item is out of stock, that is problem you should check.
        I have failed to get these deals in the past I have no problem with that. When my order is accepted, I see order is confirmed and have an order number, then canceled that is a problem.

    Interesting the wording of the email honouring the deal does not admit fault and the “sorry” is more like a “sorry that you feel that way”, not “sorry we fked it”.

    The way Bunnings handled the mavic pro error was 100x better customer service. This response just makes me feel like eBay is run by lawyers and systemic incompetence.

        • yes and then cancelled. It is sitting under cancelled order. I am worried because I cancelled my EbayPlus membership, they may not offer me the goodwill gesture.

I went to the eBay chat to complain about it just now and I ask them if they will honour the deal for me as I had my order confirmed (was stuck in 'Payment Pending') then subsequently cancelled a few minutes later - but they just said that they won't honour the deal for me :(

              I don't think they even went and checked to see if I am eligible for this - they just flat out issued the same boilerplate response on how payments were being processed chronologically and the 'my connection isn't fast enough' BS.

    So why did this unsuccessful payment issue only happen to airpod, and nothing else? Anyone knows how many AirPods ebay is honouring in total?

    • Because of too many transactions at once. I don't believe there are that many people trying to transact at the exact same time for other deals.

      From the timestamps, I would say at least 100 more than initially.
      (All the transactions at 5:05pm and 6pm)

    Holy…some people here must be really good at causing a scene. This thing must have been reflected right to the top management for them to see it as an issue instead of something that can be solved with a generic response. I guess its lucky day for everyone, myself included.

    • Yep, they would of required their database/IT people to analyse what happened and then confirm the issue for this particular case. Management probably now thinking about their Brand reputation outweighing the cost of honouring the deal. Good they are doing something about it.

    Anyone notice the passive aggressiveness of the subject of the email? "Update on your attempted $99 AirPods purchase". I not only attempted but made the purchase but your systems shat itself, eBay.

  • Spoke to ebay but no luck. They are not honouring the order. My order was successfully placed but then was cancelled by ebay. (No email).
    Any suggestion?

    • Seem like you are on the same boat as me and eBay support confirm that they have a list and I'm on that list but yet to receive the email. They later ensured me that I'll receive the communication at some point.

      • Yep, same with me - spoken with the eBay agent and she mentioned that they are working through sending the emails but she did confirm my name has been added to the list.

        So will have to wait and see over the coming days and see if they come good on their offer.

          • @bagajoker: I really had to push the person to get them to check the 'list' apparently their internal communication is not great. Ask them about the list and why you are not included and they might decide to check.

    Long term lurker, and first time poster, so I apologise if somebody has clarified this before.

    First time participating in one of these deals and I luckily managed to pick up a pair!

    I just wanted to know if anybody else has their tracking number updated on eBay, but had the status on Auspost showing 'pending'? . Mine has been like this since 4 days.

      Yup! Same here.
      I assume TitanGear's been a bit slower to send out the 900 units or for the courier to pick them up over the weekend, so they're only slowly trickling into the system now. Expecting them to be scanned into a logistics centre later today in NSW. And delivered tomorrow (Melbourne Metro) as per my other orders with them

    The seller is not Titan Gear, This seller "iot.hub" sold grey import Apple watch yesterday for $399. Need to confirm whether the Air pods are Australian stock or not.
