Hi folks,

Received a Camelcamel email this morning indicating that this is an all-time low price for this card.

The last time this card was on sale it received very positive feedback from the community.

Arguably the most reliable high-endurance card, perfect for dashcams.

Unfortunately, it is 31c short of free International delivery with Prime so you will have to add something you were already eyeing from Amazon US.

Alternatively I've searched for items that qualify for Prime from US store from lowest price here.

Product Description:

  • Designed specifically for video monitoring cameras (dash cams, surveillance & security cams, CCTV, body cams, etc.)
  • Up to 43,800 hours of 4K and Full HD (1080p) recording and playback
  • Reliability Built to Last – Water-proof, Shock-proof, Temperature-proof, X-ray-proof, Magnetic-proof
  • Transfer speeds up to 100MB/s
  • 5-year limited warranty

Thanks

EDIT: Price dropped to $48.32, 68c short of free delivery with prime.

EDIT 2: Price up to $48.53, 47c short of free delivery with prime.

EDIT 3: Price up to $48.91, 9c short of free delivery with prime.

I don't think you can buy that one as it's not from Amazon US & Prime.

Better to just get the 40c bookmarks here if nothing else fancies you :)

    • i can't believe that pay a buck for nothing… but better than paying to ship…. OMG!!!

  • +5

Thanks, OP. I added this to get free delivery.

    • Clearly says 25c on the product itself :(. Where do they get off charging 41c for it?! hahaha

      • 25c USD is roughly 36c AUD so close enough!

  • is this good for a nintendo switch? or it's too good for a Nintendo switch?

    • +2

No need, these endurance cards are more expensive than the traditional micro SD because they are designed to be on for long periods of time, in a lot of different weather conditions, and data is constantly being written over.

For a Switch you can just get this Sandisk Ultra. I use a Samsung Evo Plus in my Switch and performance wise I think they are the same.

      • Thanks, I'll get on of the one you recommended :)

      • Omg, loosing a saved game is worth more in hours spent lol, get this for safety!

    • Im interested if this is overkill for a switch also…

      • Yes it is overkill, see my comment above :)

        • Yes read that thx..

Indeed, however if you are going for that card it is even cheaper on eBay with the 20% off sale currently on from FTT.

In the last deal thread there were reports that the Sandisk had compatibility issues in some dash cameras which was overcome by the Samsung.

The Samsung is also backed by a 5 year warranty vs Sandisk's 2 year warranty so there is peace of mind too.

      • Thanks for the info mate!

      • out of curiosity, where do you bring to complain and/or fix after 3-4 yrs used of samsung stuff?

if the seller still exist then rather easier if not…??? Call their hotline??

        • +1

This is sold direct from Amazon, I would live chat them and go from there.

Amazon is second to none in terms of customer service in my experience.

    • No good for Blackvue dashcams. It will cause the dashcam to restart continually which is useless.
If you have a Blackvue or want to be safe, get this Samsung card.

      • may i ask which blackvue dashcam had compatibility issues with the sandisk card?

        • DR750S 2CH

          • @nubzy: thanks. i just got the LTE version of that cam. guess i'll go with this card instead of taking a chance on the cheaper sandisk card

      • +1

I've been using this on my 750s-2ch since Oct 2018. No issues so far.

  • Is this overkill for a DJI Mavic Mini?

    • +1

No, I don't think this is in the same category of cards you would use for a Mavic drone as it would not write fast enough to the card.

I think you would be looking at the Sandisk Extreme Pro range, but I don't own a drone so take my advice with a grain of salt.

  • Thanks op. I ordered this for my Viofo 129 Dual. It is just eating my 32GB Samsung evo everyday.

    • How much footage do you get recorded on 32GB?

      • +2

With the encoding they support, 3 min FullHD clip takes 148MB. That is around 216 mins for 32 GB. That is 1.8 hours of driving for 2 cameras or 3.6 hours for Single camera. It takes ages to download with the device WIFI they provide. So, unless you download immediately, your data is lost. I lost it once.

        • Thanks for the info! That's still a decent amount of footage.. do you have to use the app? Or can you just use a PC to read it?

          • @aragornelessar: It has a mini usb port if you want to access it directly. if you want to connect wirelessly, then you need to use their app.

Didn't know you could get shanks through customs

  • how reliable is shipping from the USA, everything I bought something from there in the past there has been something wrong, does not arrive or arrives looted or damaged, if something is wrong I hope Amazon will fix?

    • Last post OP said they shipped with Fedex which is pretty dang reliable.

      • OK i'll give it a go since AU sellers are hovering around $75.

        • Not shipped yet I guess waiting game

          • @nwa: Still not shipped how long does it take to prepare order anyone else shipped status?

10 pens for $2.77, good enough and not a waste on the price gap for free international shipping😉

Still not shipped yet. May cancel my order and buy this Sandisk instead.

    • I emailed amazon and got a standard copy paste response, rest assured you will get it etc. If I see a similar local deal I will try cancel option.

  • Has anyone cancelled their order as it's not yet shipped after more than a week ?

  • Anyone live in Sydney with a prime account already ordering one that wouldnt also mind ordering me an additional one?
I dont have prime anymore and can pay you back :)

    • Could help you out if you need - ~90c off delivery threshold though.
