Congrats on building your first PC, you are better off doing this.

      • You would think so, but possibly not. It appears B450 Tomahawk Max does not support 5v 3 pin ARGB fans. So I’m not exactly sure what to do here haha. I set it all up last night and didn’t realise I had plugged 5v fans into 12v headers.

Now I guess I just need to buy new fans?

        • Nice build, the ultimate bang for buck. You get more quality parts than this deal here so pat yourself in the back for pulling this off.

Re the fans, just plug in the fan headers and ignore RGB headers, unless you really want RGB in your case…

          • @Kingduytan: Thanks for the reply. The hub is powered by the power supply, so it can control the LED manually with the case button. I got real scared searching today - and can’t wait to get home to check. It ran fine last night when playing COD, so hopefully all good.

      • Looks like I was far better off. Had my pc for a month, looks like no one has received from this deal yet.

        Hopefully they get them soon.

    • +1

probably worthwhile noting your power supply and motherboard are probably a lot more reliable than the base model quoted up here, so you're good

  • +1

    Stellar deal.

I just spent the better part of a week doing alot of research and buying all the parts for basically the same specced PC (at least where it counts, gpu, cpu), and didn't come come near this price. Especially considering this includes installation as well.

I decided to do mine as a mini-itx though, so had some different component requirements and paid a premium here and there, but started looking at a very similar ATX/ mATX setup on the cheap to start with.

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I JUST SPENT $1400 FOR A SIMILAR BUILD TO THIS

A challenger appears! Don't be a stranger around here OP, loving some competition in the PC department.

  • Amazing deal. Almost feeling bad for jumping the gun on TechFast last week. But 2070s looks better than this AMD card.

  • +1

@CGB Solutions, can you confirm that you're not using early versions of TUF / STRIX cards from Asus (not TUF EVO)? These versions had severe overheating issues.

    • Hi there,

All GPU stock for this deal is new,

      You shouldn't experience this problem

      OP

  • Would it be possible to upgrade it to Ryzen 7 ?

  • Sorry for a stupid question, noticed that windows is unactivated, would there be any disadvantages for having issues later on with this? (IM using Mac for too long)

    • Hi there,

I hope this helps to answer your question:

Windows 10 Unactivated will not require any payment and is provided by Microsoft at no extra charge. It will leave a watermark on your screen suggesting you activate to Windows 10. This will not affect your experience in-game or using the computer generally apart from some personalization (backgrounds etc).

      OP

      • thank you, may I know how Much to activate the windows instead?

        • Hi Hotpot,

          $155,

This can be added before checkout, the activation key and box will be included

          OP

  • Hi! If i ask for the parts only will this ship quicker?

Happy to build it myself if it shaves some time off delivery!

    • Hi Cheesecactus,

We're waiting for CPU stock and GPU stock to arrive,

This will shave off 1 week wait time as this deals wait time is at around 4 weeks now due to the influx of orders

      OP

      • Wow, good to hear you guys are doing well!

        Thanks for the deal!

  • Will this be eligible for the Gigabyte GPU promo with the SSD?
    https://au.aorus.com/event-detail.php?i=1470

    • Hi Winston,

Unless you want to downgrade the GPU to a 5600XT which we currently have in stock, no sorry

      OP

      • Does that mean 5600XT will come with a free ssd? Do you have quotation for that as well?

  • Just ordered with the Athena case.

  • Do you do afterpay or zippay?

  • Mmmm. I love seeing EoFY bait in the PC/Components space.

I'm more keen on a 3300x build (put the money saved into better cooling) but nobody's got that part in stock.

    Unless…?

  • Any deals on decent KB, Mouse, Monitor to go with my system?

    • Hi Askme,

Currently, we don't have any deals due to very limited stock

      OP

  • Better start with a more basic config, such as 16g ram, 256G SSD..

  • Hi, I'm looking to buy a couple of PCs for office use that would be good for editing - not as geared at gaming. Do you have any deals on builds that are perhaps a bit more low-key, preferably without LEDs and a beastly GPU?

  • Nice value

  • This or https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/542194 going buy one and want know whats best on ones on offer right now in 1500-2000 range.

    • +1

If you're streaming get the Techfast one no question, the 5700 XT can't stream without looking like a potato below 10Mbps. Also depends on whether you value the stronger CPU. They've both got good RAM, and I recommend upgrading to the gold power supply on the Techfast one. The case is pretty crap on this one, with little airflow.

      • I am thinking upgrading this one
R7 3700x and ram to 3600 for +285 and buying this one.

        • +1

          How much extra is 3600?

          • @Void: 225 for upgrade to R7 3700x and upgrade to 2 x 16gb 3600 cost $60.

            • +1

@HunterxHunter9000: People really crack up 3600 to be a huge upgrade, it isn't. It's like a 1-3% difference depending on the task and definitely not worth $60, maybe $10 but definitely not worth $60.

  • H Mate,

Is there any way to get this with a 3600? The X doesn't not really add any performance.

Also will the grphpics card be an evo?

    Thanks :)

  • +1

Just put in an order, gotta say very fast responses via email to upgrades thank you for the deal and looking forward to it.

  • Really interested in getting the system.
Re GPU, what exactly is Triple Fan 8GB 5700XT? Brand = AMD Radeon?
    Please verify.

    • I was told via email that it is mainly brands ASUS, biostar or XFX.

      • Thanks Any good?

  • +1

Has anyone got movement or any updates on this from CGB yet?

    • As mentioned build time is currently at 3-4 weeks

      OP

      • What's the ETA for out of stock items so orders can be shipped? (Ordered parts, no building required)

        • We're waiting for GPU and SSD stock

          ETA is 2-3 weeks

This lead time may be shortened

          OP

      • Is that 3-4 weeks from date of purchase or 3-4 weeks from today??

        • Any further update RE gpu and ssd stock?

  • Hi @cpb any more deals coming like this? maybe with 2070 super or 2080 super for more?

    • Hi there,

We have one in the works but nothing is confirmed

      OP

  • Hi @CGB or @anyone,
Was originally quoted 2-3 weeks when I ordered, it has been about 3 weeks now and have heard nothing so far. Any updates?

    • +1

I haven't got anything as well

  • Any chance of a deal at this price with a 3700X?

  • Hi @CGB, any 5700XT deals this month?

  • +2

    Update for people still waiting:

    "Dear valued customer,

We’re working with getting as many PCs out as fast as possible,

We have had some issues with getting our Armageddon Cases from our supplier due to Covid19,

Some builds cases will be upgraded to the following:

If you ordered the Kagami K1, you may receive the ANTEC NX310 instead

If you ordered the Athena M1, you’ll be upgraded to the Deepcool Matrexx 55 Mesh 3F/4F variants of the case

We have run out of GPU stock,

New stock is expected next week for 5700XT so orders can start shipping out as builds are complete but just waiting on GPUs,

We currently have limited staff on hand due to Covid19 restrictions as we’re based in Melbourne, this has greatly affected our dispatch times and sometimes left our phone lines unmanned,

We’re working to get all orders out as fast as possible,

If you have any questions we’ll do our best to answer them"

  • Has anyone received a tracking number yet? Perhaps those who just ordered parts?

    • Nope, they said the remaining systems that "haven't shipped" will contain this GPU https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/553011 but I'd like to believe I ordered pretty early on and haven't head anything at all. I didn't even receive the email @phrober is mentioning either. Pretty disappointed with the lack of communication and would have cancelled my order earlier if not for the restocking fee.

      • Hi there,

All pcs are currently in production - this is an overview of the communication

        • Athena M1 will be subbed with Deepcool Matrexx Mesh 4F/3F

        • Some Kagami K1 will be subbed with Antex NX310

We've had a supply problem with Armageddon causing some delays

The first half of Biostar shipment has finally cleared customs

Covid19 has also reduced the amount of staff we can have building pcs

        OP

      • +1

I see. I ordered within the first day or so and am yet to receive any tracking information or indication of when it might ship either.

I'm starting to get concerned because I'm yet to see anyone who's received any tracking details, even for parts only orders. Production shouldn't really be a problem with these orders…it's just a case of shipping them out.

So no-one has a tracking number?

        • Same as you. I ordered early after the post went up. I've received nothing.

  • Still haven’t received a tracking number. Any updates on when the orders will be fulfilled?

  • Still haven't received any tracking

  • +1

No update of tracking so far. A responsible seller should contact the buyer for an alternative solution for alternative computer parts to achieve fast delivery.

    • +1

They don't seem to be doing much communication wise - I haven't received any response to my last two emails. I wonder if others are having the same problem.

      • Same here, sent them 2 emails, even a message through fb and nothing. They seem to have gone full blank with no answers. Its been 5 weeks for me since I ordered and nothing. They keep changing the ETA.

  • Has anyone received a tracking number yet?
I put in my order just over a month ago, and still nothing. They haven't been responding to my emails either - anyone else having this problem?

The lack of communication is really disappointing, I just want to know what's going on.

    • +1

Same for me I ordered 30/6 and got no tracking or reply for my email. Considering about refund through paypal.

      • +5

        Hi there,

Some orders have been dispatched this week, the exact quantity I don't know,

We're finally receiving the remaining GPUs required to fullfil orders,

Due to covid19 some of these PC's have had to be built in alternative locations slowing down the process

Some orders will be receiving further upgrades depending on the wait time

All PC's are currently built but are just awaiting GPU installation to be dispatched

We're sorry about the wait as we're awaee the service we delivered has been poor for this deal and we fully accept that

        OP

        • Thanks for the update!

Any news on the parts only builds?

  • +5

    Any updates on this?

Ordered back on the 25 June and haven't rec'd tracking etc?

Can i cancel? as this is now getting a bit out of control.

    Thanks.

    • I've been told all orders will ship by August 13 and that they're upgrading parts for free to compensate.

    • Ordered on the 24th, parts only and also haven't heard anything.

  • Hi CGS,

Placed order on the 31st of Jun and still not receive my order yet. Please assist.

    • Still no goods. This is not good.

  • Anyone got tracking numbers yet?

  • I’m going to ask for a refund, this is getting out of hand.

  • +4

I still havn't hear anything yet either, if people are still yet to hear somethign maybe we should start leaving google reviews on CGB for the poor communcation and misleading of delivery times.

  • +2

Why don't they communicate with the users what the supposed upgrades are for these delays and why it's still delayed? They said GPUs were delayed and had arrived now. So what's the hold up.

  • +2

This is getting ridiculous. I was told two weeks, then another two, then that they'd be shipping out within a week, then that they'd be getting shipped today. I have still heard nothing.

    • Same.

    • Their last update on it was almost a month ago, like how hard is it to send out a few emails on whats going on.
If this is how they do their customer service, imagine dealing with a faulty product or a refund. If I don't receive a tracking by this friday, I'm just going to refund through paypal. Looking through other comments, its ridiculous that they actually charge you cancellation fees when they are at fault. Never trading with them again.

  • +1

To everyone who bought this and haven't received a tracking number, I think we need to start taking action on this.
I don't usually make these kind of complaints but CGB's response to the current situation is simply outrageous.

Most of us have been waiting on this for more than 6 weeks, and yet to even receive a tracking number.
What makes it worse is their lack of communication, they haven't sent out a single update since their email almost 4 weeks ago.
Most of the comments here and other posts have been ignored. Imagine what kind of service we will be getting when any of these "rushed" builds turn out to be faulty.
I know that these are difficult times with all the COVID situation but this is getting out of hands. What makes them so hard to communicate with their buyers?

Looking through past comments it seems they charge us 'fees' on cancellation, when they are clearly at fault.
I am just going to lodge a claim and refund it through paypal if I don't receive a tracking number by this Friday.
We all need to make sure we leave a review on google as well as to report them on ozbargain, whether or not we receive our products.

    • I've just been told via FB that mine had shipped, yet to receive a tracking number however.

      • probably waiting for parts on your upgrade.

    • Hi Guys,

Our sincerest apologies for the delay in processing and fulfilling your order. Due to unforeseen circumstances and supply-chain issues, it has taken much longer than expected to complete your shipment. Despite our best efforts to fulfil your order in a timely manner, there are some things that are out of our control and heavily impacted on our ability as a growing company to operate at our usual levels. We are genuinely sorry for any trouble our delayed services have cost you and hope you know this does not reflect the standards of customer service and satisfaction we always strive to achieve

      Orders are now fluently shipping

      OP

      • +1

I'm sure there are plenty of factors outside of your control that have impacted your orders. Everyone here is understanding of that and accepting of delays.

Something that IS within your control is communicating those delays to your customers. At the moment I've received one update email in the seven and a half weeks since I've ordered on the 24th of June.

Still no shipping email (even for a parts only build).

  • Finally received a shipping notice.

    • I receive the shipping notice too. however after 1 week receive shipping notice, still no goods. What about you>

      • +1

If you haven't received a tracking number yet, theres no proof that they've even sent anything out yet.
I just received a notice from them that they found faulty PSUs and are replacing it, so yet another delay.
Funny cos based on what they've told me, even if you've actually received it, theres a chance for your PSU to be faulty??
