Asrock AMD Radeon RX 570 4GB Graphics Card $199 Delivered @ PC Byte

260

If you need a budget card under $200 that still has some solid performance this seems to be a good choice, cheapest rx570 I could find. Has been cheaper in the past but if you needed to buy it right now this is the best price.

  • I just bought the "Gigabyte Radeon RX 570 GAMING V2 8GB" from MWave for $245 (Hasn't been delivered yet).
Would have probably grabbed this otherwise!

    • hmmm why? you got 8gb vs 4gb vram :)

    • +1

More VRAM means you can play with higher resolution textures. You'd be surprised at how easy it is to run out of VRAM in some modern titles (and old ones like Skyrim with texture replacements)

      • +1

i got the asrock rx570 8gb version and wonder if the 8gb is a waste, coz this gpu is suitable mostly for 1080p gaming only and can hardly go up to 1440p.

        • +1

In games with tons of high res texture mods, even at 1080p I saw instances where 6-7GB VRAM is utilized. 6GB RAM should be the bare minimum.

      • That's true. Okay I don't feel so bad now :)

I'm not a huge gamer but it's always good to have a bit of headroom I guess!

      • +1

More VRAM doesn't amount to any gains with relatively lower-end GPUs like an RX 570 or an RX 580, as all of that additional memory pool for higher resolution textures and higher AA/AF settings won't make one difference to your FPS, which will still be piss-poor without turning everything down to Medium anyway, thereby keeping your memory usage well below 4GB in most games (this is especially true when running at resolutions above 1920x1080; which these cards are really not intended for).

I'm still gaming on an RX 580 4GB at the moment, which is around 10-15% faster than the RX 570, and you really can't expect it to push 60FPS on High settings in games made in the last 3 years or so.

These cards are only just meeting the bare minimum requirements for most Triple-A games these days and I wouldn't recommend anyone waste anymore money on the 8GB variants as there's absolutely no architectural differences between the 4GB and 8GB cards and they'll overclock just as well as each other.

        • Something I see a lot is that more VRAM is always better, but if the GPU isn't up to the task of rendering those higher resolutions and textures, you are paying for a number.

          • +1

@FabMan: On lower-end cards, higher VRAM is just marketing. You won't ever get to take advantage of it unless you enjoy playing a very pretty sideshow.

The RX 570/580 are still great from a performance-per-dollar point of view (especially thanks to the pricing-related fckery that has been going on in 2020), but I wouldn't recommend them if you're intending them to last you for another 3 year's worth of hardcore gaming as they're fast-approaching the end of their practical lifespans.

I'd also recommend OC'ing the ever-loving hell out of them, as they have generous headroom and it'll help frame rates tremendously.

  • isn't that standard price? I paid that 6 months ago. RX580 for $200 would be nice

    • +1

If you can find an RX 570 for lower than $199 please do post it, I am in the market for a new super budget graphics card.

    • it was that price 3 years ago

      • +2

Well let me just go hop in my time machine and go buy one from back then.

  • how is this one compare to the gtx 1050ti low profile ? and also does this one fit to the elitedesk 800 g1?

    • +1

Won't fit if you're after a low profile card.

    • +2

Also requires a 6-pin power connector so you'll need a real power supply.

    • Not related to this card, but if you need a specific 1050ti low profile make sure you check the sizes - I know my Optiplex only fits the Gigabyte one as the MSI one is a few mm too long.

I haven't been paying attention to graphics card prices, seems they gone up? I've got a GA RX 570 GAMING 8G MI doing nothing, how much would that be worth on the market at the minute?

    • 200 with warranty , but you can sell it to me for 100

      • No warranty. If you turned up at my door with $100 right now I probably would part with it cause it's probably been idle 12 months by now.

    • looks like they have, I paid $200 for mine 6-12 months ago, wasn't on special either.

  • Man really wish this came down to 150 standard and the 580 for 200.

They are soild budget cards but ages old.

  • +1

any good deals on an RX 580 at the moment?

  • I bought the Galaxy GTX 1650 Super for $260 delivered today. It was between this or the Radeon 570x.

  • 570 = yuck
even 580s struggle these days and which is would I would be going for if I was on a budget. Second hand ones on gumtree go for $150 - $300.

  • Ouch.

  • So my options considering at PCByte are
    This 570 4G $199 deal
    580 8G $269 ASRock
    5500xt 4G $289 MSI
    5600xt 6G $449 ASRock

Use with old Phenom 6core, will upgrade later after new Ryzen 4000 are out.

Any thoughts on best bang for buck to get me 1080p gaming now and ready for upgrade later?

    • 1650 super > 580 if this isn't too late

  • Thanks mate!
