Frank's Hot Sauce Original, Extra Hot, Buffalo, 354ml $2.99 @ ALDI

740

My favourite Frank's buffalo and hot sauce for a big bottle only $2.99! More than half price compared to Coles etc.

Awesome for American style chicken wings, so many chicken wings..

Does Munster give you your money back if you fail to crap in your bed?

    • the bunsters is good… good flavour but enough heat to keep you honest.

Frank's hot sauce is for people who don't have hot sauce

      • +2

Look out, we have a hot sauce tough guy…

      • I found Bunsters over priced and over rated wasn't that hot at all

  • What’s better for every other day use ? Buffalo or original hot ?

    • Original for me. Subjective

I use the Original mixed with butter for my buffalo wings so i'd go original

      • +1

Buffalo sauce is just Frank's mixed with butter. But it's usually better made from scratch using the original.

          Delightfully devilish

  • miss those litre size tabasco deals …

    • Frank’s 3.78L is where it’s at.

      • You can get those from Costco, I think similar price as above.

Also Still $22.99 at Costco if you shop there.

        • Nice. I don’t have a membership and the 354ml I bought yesterday will easily last me a year, but that jug…

@mapax: I use Franks to deglaze my cast iron pan after I cook bacon on it to make this amazing sauce. I call it 'bacon jus' hehe.

I almost put it on everything haha.

Also the jalapeño crisps are awesome. Got a couple this morning

    • Ooh, anyone tried the onion type? Curious to know if they're like the little crispy onions you get in Mi Goreng packets.

    • I got those last year and went through them surprisingly quick.

Definitely buying a few this time round.

Got a couple of the Extra Hot ones yesterday and was very happy - much better value than Coles and my local Coles doesn't have the Extra Hot variety. It is a very salty hot sauce though, so be careful with the extra sodium.

  • I found the original better than the buffalo. Not sure about extra hot because I can't handle chillis.

God… do I really need another hot sauce? I gotta stop visiting this site lol

Give yourself a decent uppercut! Of course you need more hot sauce man . You delusional.

  • Still got about 3L left from the costco deal. Bought some more anyway. You can never have too much hot sauce.

  • To put things in perspective:
    - Franks comes in at around 400 to 500 on the Scoville heat scale.
    - the Xtra hot version of Frank’s Red Hot is four times as hot as the original…this would make the Xtra hot 2000 on the Scoville Scale. However, it is given as 2085 on both chilliworld and wikipedia, with no explanation.

  • That's great for Frank's - sugar-free too. Thanks OP

  • Thought for their US promotion Aldi would have also had Sweet Baby Rays Buffalo Wings sauce but not to be. Franks it is.

Where is this located in store? Sauces or special section.

Sick of stores reorganising aisles on purpose so you spend extra time fumbling around to bait you to buy other stuff.

End rant. Not really an Aldi issue though as they tend to all have a similar setup.

      Special aisle

Apparently this is a great recipe that uses Frank's as an ingredient:- https://www.bonappetit.com/recipe/bas-best-fried-chicken-san…

  • Cheers loaded up on plain and extra hot, not that either is that hot but tastes good!
