      • I've ported into Lyca mobile for free,.. with no problems but as yet ported back out but I shouldn't see it having any issues porting back out, these are also prepaid plans with Lyca so need to mention account numbers as with postpaid when porting out,.. (I think Lyca Telstra MVNO?)

Edit: yes Telstra and Optus $2 SIM starter kits just on my last try with them asked me to pay for a plan to continue, why I jumped to Lyca too port over and eventually back

Edit again: Anyone suggest any other alternatives too Lyca for free porting in and out, we need too start building a list lol

        • Great tip, I'm all about free. How do you port to Lyca for free?

EDIT: Nvm, just noticed the free offer link above haha

          • @Pub Envelope: Actually just remembered with Lyca mobile,..

if your intention is just too port in and out with Lyca mobile use the link above and order a free SIM and receive it, then activate SIM online of course tick and port your number over

But if your intention is too sign up with one of there special plan deals (which I wanted to do originally) you need too choose the plan and follow up and sign up online, then they'll send you a simcard tied too the deal you signed up with

They currently have a $10 deal with 30gb data unlimited calls/sms plus unlimited international calls for 28 days if you want too hang with them for 4 weeks before porting too catch

            Bonus if it was for 12 months,.. 12mths x 30gb = 360gb for $120 nearly a gigabyte a day 👍

Catch so far on the last deal of 40gb for $5 for 30 days (plus ~$5 cashback) was great for me, catch online customer service was great also 1 out of my 10 Sims I ordered didn't have the auto recharge off (I'm sure I switched it off), any way the day it recharged automatically catch was nice enough to refund me (actually i better check my credit card) though note i did not use or have the simcard in any of my mobiles, not sure how i would of went if for example i used data or made calls on that SIM plan on the 1st day after auto recharge

I ordered 10 of these as I purely used them for data I.e 400gb over a month, very handy if you have a dual SIM mobile and keep your main number with a $10 unlimited call/sms provider

  • This offer ends on 22/07/2020. I am planning to order but afraid what happens if I don't get the sim by 22/07/2020? On catch.com.au there is no option for express shipping, any ideas?

    • It reverts back to $150 on 22/07. Once bought before 22nd you don’t have to worry about that, whether you get it before or after 22/07

      • I hope what you said is correct. I had web chat on the site and they said that you may not get all the inclusions if activated after 22/07/2020, although it appeared to be a generic copy/paste response.

        • +1

That seems rubbish to me. It’s like saying you bought a washing machine during sale and if you don’t get it before the sale ends, we will keep the pipes and stuff.

  • recharged my parents phone for $120 last week and now this deal pops up……brilliant……NOT!

  • I received it yesterday and activated it today.

For some reason, porting my mums number is going to take three days.

  • Expired now, it's back to $150 :(

  • Just beware guys, there's always a catch. In order to activate your new sim, you'll have to accept their terms and conditions, one of them being their privacy policy.

In it, you'll have to agree that you consent to them sending marketing materials to you (there's NO WAY TO untick that box) to proceed.

    • FWIW having been with them for over a year now, I don't recall ever receiving any particular spam or anything that I could trace back to this, but yeah, it is suss.

  • Has anyone tried to activate now we are on 24 July. Is it working. I have not yet activated - hope to do it end of the month.

    • The deal has been extended. But you should be okay anyway since the sim plan you purchased hasn't changed details.

      • Thanks, hope so :)

        • I activated today. No issues
