Strange I never see eBay gift card deals on OzBargain.

My last order a few days ago with Coles on eBay was cancelled shortly after ordering. Previous orders over the past year had gone through fine but Coles has recently decided to stop delivering eBay orders to my area (inner city Sydney).

It might be worth checking the delivery postcodes here first before adding things to your cart: https://www.ebay.com.au/help/buying/grocery-shopping-ebay/gr…

      you are good mate

    • pickup available?

why do they delivery to every suburb around me and skip mine? It doesn't make sense

      • Same here in Melbourne, seems arbitrary.

    • I placed an order on July 6th and received it on July 9th - just 3 days ago. Interestingly my suburb is not listed as a delivery area. I wonder when the update was made to the postcodes?

Coles not accepting Coles gift cards if stuff is being delivered.

Coles eBay selection getting smaller and smaller. No larger ticket items like detergents etc. etc.

Seems like a pretty annoying platform to do regular shopping on - I’ve found Amazon to be less than idea for groceries also. I could imagine Aldi getting into the delivery market some time in the future.

Can’t blame them for diversifying their shopfront opportunities though.

A virtual supermarket would be awesome - like google street view but with shelves that you can look around in. People are somewhat familiar with this experience and it’s not super demanding on current mobile and computer platforms. It would beat the traditional ‘gallery’ and list model that they’re all doing now.

  • Yeah, this promo was on for end of June and now seems to be extended/refreshed until end of July.

My last order, they didn't give me the butter and they somehow weren't able to substitute it either.
Got a refund, so was okay.
A few days after that I got the targeted $10 off for $50 spend. Now have to figure out what to buy (given the limited range available online).
In my experience, any frozen goods are no longer frozen when they arrive, even if you are at home and bring it in immediately. The cold part of the truck is probably only a cooler, definitely not ice-cream suitable.
    Of course, YMMV.

Limited choice, struggling to reach $49…

  • I got targetted the usual 10k flybuys of spent $60 for 4x weeks, anyone know or try if buying via ebay entitled?

    • +1

No, you can't use it with eBay

      • Thanks good to know

    • I've heard stories when people bought form eBay Coles, then contacted Flybuys and they happily added the points.

  • +1

Keep track of the Ebay cards if using them the refund goes back there and very common :)
I guess it worth it nearly 20% off doing the double stack .

this deal may suit some, but for me it was a complete waste of time. severely limited range of products compared to actual coles website and after a good look none are the products my household buys and nothing is a good enough price to tempt me to try something new. no way of filtering by discount made searching even more annoying. this coles ebay store is kind of like a dumping ground for excess stock no one wants or something, weird. if i see a deal for coles ebay again i'm scrolling right past.

  • Nice deal. Stocked up on mostly 1/2 price things that we use regularly anyway. 10% off + 3% ShopBack.

  • It shows "no matching items found" for me.

I am an ebay plus member.

Anything else I need to do or be?

  • How do you specify delivery time window?

    • They send you an email with a delivery window, day and time, and there is a link you can go to and change it if you want to. It's really good actually.

  • Good deal. I received 95% of what I ordered but the eBay range is limited so can't buy everything.

  • No option to click and collect?
