This is probably not so ethical so Mod please remove if it violates your policies

This is a way to access the Lenovo Education store via Studentbeans, but it looks generic and I could login on my device without logging into Studentbeans

From the Education store, they are having 50% off E15 and E14 Gen 2, however, won't ship within 6-7 weeks

E15 Gen 2: Ryzen 4500U (6C/ 6T) 8GB RAM 512GB SSD for $909

E14 Gen 2: Ryzen 4500U (6C/ 6T) 8GB RAM 512GB SSD for $919

There are also 20% off monitors

This is probably not so ethical

Good deal for unethical OzBargainers though…

I am proud to be unethical.

  • +1

Ethically speaking it would be wise to tell Lenovo about the loophole ;)

    • +2

      What's stopping you from telling

  • +1

What is ethical in the world?

    Amazing deal op.

  • Too bad all the nice monitors are like 7-8 weeks before shipping….

  • E15 with 512gb SSD is showing up at $969?

  • +1

    Taking screen shot before disappearing…

Much more cheaper on normal website

  • What is OzB if not unethical??

  • I don’t see those prices. E15 is $989 and ships in 10-15 business days.

    • Go to gen 2. You are in e15

  • $839.20 for the T32p-20 - a 31.5" 4K USB-C monitor - is a great deal.

    • Better than the recent Xiaomi monitors?

      • Be interested in This answer .. as in the market.

  • Do you this Lenovo laptop is better than the Dell deal from a few weeks ago? I ordered the Dell and want to ensure I've made the right choice?

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/547180

    • Nevermind both are 4500U

    • +5

trust me… you will never make the right choice when it comes to mobile phones, laptops, and women.

there's always a newer, cheaper version every now and then…

and the drama begins when you pick your choices… especially price drops after a few weeks bought

      • hahahahahahahah. well said, sir.

  • reckon the 5 people reporting this probably want it to be taken down asap so they can use it later lol

  • will probably get closed, so really only useful if youre going to order now.

  • Would you guys recommend the ThinkPad E595 @ $1009.00 as a good value for money unit for a small business using MS Office , Corel Draw & MS Publisher ?

The E15 gen 2 is the updated version of that laptop so no.

      • OK Thanks

      • +1

Ordered the E15 gen 2 with 512gb SSD , now the wait begins.

Is this not working for anyone else? "Sorry! It's not you… it's us. Please call the phone number at the top of the page and we'll fix this right away."

    • +1

    • Didn't work for me. Showing "Sorry! It's not you… it's us. Please call the phone number at the top of the page and we'll fix this right away."

      • +1

Or switching to ebay UK 😉

  • +1

How to ethically use it tho? Is just an Edu email enough?

    • Yer

  • -5

    Ryzen tho

  • e14 worked out to be $869 for me but nah. do I need a laptop desperately? not really. would have been cool though

I will wait till they are normally this price

  • +1

Under my system of ethics it is unethical to exclude me from a deal.

I had quick research, and I would avoid buying a Chinese device as the communist government has vast authority on them. I haven't forgotten about this dodgy government for coronavirus yet. Apparently, some Lenovo laptops came with installed malware a few years ago.

Or dear. Better get the tin foil out again :-)

    • +1

      HDD FORMAT FTW.

      • -1

But wont clear hidden built in chinese code/malware on the Motherboad chipsets or Bios. Back to my original "Tin Foil" hat comment. :-)
Best just get over it and accept, if any Govt really wants acces to what you do……they can. If worried live in a bubble and stay clear of the Internet etc. It's just the world we live in these days,

    • +2

By watching your comment, I feel like living in the Cold War LMAO. Your home furnitures and electronics are probably 90% made in China with a chip planted inside to keep spying on you for ages. Take care, Pal, XD!

      • Totally agree.
