Curvature on a 24inch monitor seems a bit unnecessary.

    • +2

At that size "slight warping damage at factory" is a better description. ;-)

Now watch people who don't know a joke when they see one downvote into oblivion.

    • Totally agree. Should be at least a 32 inch monitor in ultra-wide aspect ratio to benefit from curved screen.
This is only good for midgets.

I bought this during the start of the WFH frenzy when there were not many other monitors in stock. Honestly, not a very nice monitor picture-wise. Was hard to get the colour profile to something acceptable, and the horizontal scan lines are very obvious. I would recommend going for something like the AOC 24G2 (IPS panel), or spending more on a higher end monitor.

    • Really it's NTSC is better than the average, maybe you got a faulty one

      • Doesn't mean it looks good. Viewing angles can still be shit, and horizontal scan lines won't be noticed during calibration.

I can concur with your findings. Something about this monitor looks rough. Don't know if the curvature is the issue or the panel, but text just doesn't look crisp. Okay for gaming though.

There are store offering cheaper than op so these shouldn't be better deal..

it is a VA TFT LCD Panel

  • Anyone here ?? hows this compare to samsung 24 inch curved monitor ??

    • They're the same on paper.

These were $199 at Centrecom before May and that was the normal price

    • Before the corona times

      • +1

Yes before May, it was $199 during April and before.
Also, isn't this the normal price now? Not a deal?

Have one, nightmare setting the colours to something decent and it whines if I turn the brightness down.

  • Honestly, 24 inch is not big enough. Just sold my 24 inch 4k and replaced with a 29 inch ultrawide.

    • 29 inch ultrawide?

      I mean… isn't that kind of just… wide?

      • 29 inch ultrawide didnt feel any bigger than 24 to me!! Way too short
34 inch is a decent upgrade

I just bought AOC 24G2 for $312 (including shipping, via this deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/549192). If you order now you might still get it in time to redeem the offer for the $40 Steam gift card as well.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6MHdeDv9bqI&t this review did a good job of convincing me to pick the monitor up.

    • It's 299 from pcbyte and ple

    • Ye if the monitor is like around 250 ill buy it. It's IPS

    • any dead pixels?

      • Nope, looking good so far.

  • +2

I'll happily spend the extra $25-50 for an IPS 24G2, a curve is useless at this size and will probably end up doing more harm than good.

Edit: Also fix the link in the description, needs "ml" at the end.

  • I missed the promo on the 24G2 so went with this one from Mwave. It's my first gaming monitor and first monitor above 60hz, I'm not expecting the best monitor in the world but assume it will be better than what i'm currently running in my stream setup.

    • It's pretty much the best 24" 1080p144hz monitor, you won't be disappointed.

      • Have used if for a few days now. Out of the box, colours are a bit off, but I downloaded a colour profile for windows for this monitor and Oh My Hat it's the cleanest monitor I've ever had :)

  • Hi OPEN, do you have any 32 inch monitor deals?
