Dewalt DCZ266T1-XE 18V 6.0ah Li-Ion Brushless Cordless 2pce Combo Kit $279 Shipped @ Blackwoods

970

This is the best deal I have seen for a while, I was surprised that they still have stock. I think it's perhaps leftover stock from the Black Friday deal last year.

Has been selling regularly for $379 to $399 on Ebay since April this year.

Don't be confused about the models here - these are the mid-range brushless tools, not the cheaper entry level ones. The prices if you were to buy individually from Bunnings (which we obviously wouldn't do) are:

Total = $836.

Stock says limited availability but my order just dispatched from the Brisbane location. Not sure about other states/stores.

Edit: Appears as though there may be minimum order quantities in some states and it' showing as out of stock in others. Still appears to be stock in Brisbane.

Edit 24/07: Sold out in all states.

This makes me realise the makita 18v kit I’ve got At Bunnings last month was a killer deal. It had another battery and an angle grinder for $400. That being said this one is still good, only downside the single battery

    • +6

Not really comparable IMO. Those tools were comparable to the base model Dewalt tools.

The specs are better across the board for this Dewalt gear and you get a 3 year instead of 2 year warranty.

      • +8

Damn, you ruined it for him now.

        • +1

Whoops. No, the Makita deal was a very good deal. Depends what you're after I suppose.

      • +3

Makita warrenty is now 5 years if you register online within 30 days of purchase.

        • +1

Bunnings makita at that price would be the handyman tier possibly brushed too

          • @rumchaser: Thanks for telling me I was just in time to register mine. I didn’t receive anything saying 5 years though

    • Which bunnings deal was this?

  • +1

Oooh tempting. Goes with the $299 chainsaw from a previous deal.

    • The 6AH battery would be great on the chainsaw or angle grinder, it's kinda overkill on the drill or driver, unless you're a tradie using them all day…

      • +2

If you are a tradie using them all day then you would definitely prefer 2 smaller batteries for the ease of carriage. Actually I also bought their 12V drills for the much more common less demanding jobs. Make life much easier.
These are good for table tools and garden tools. I use more than 1 in my flexvolt blower every major tidy up.

  • +1

Tells me it can only be purchased in multiples of 3?

    • Yep - saw that.

"DEWALT - XR 2Piece - 6Ah Kit - Hammer Drill & Impact Driver - 5035048710913 - DCZ266T1-XE can only be purchased in the multiple of 3. Please update the quantity to proceed with the checkout."

      • Wonder if it's location dependent. In VIC.

    • -3

      I bought 30. Thanks.

    • +1

      Same issue here

  • I've had this combo for a year or so and the tools are great. My only complaint is that the 6.0ah battery is a bit big and heavy for a drill, 2 smaller batteries would be ideal. Still a good deal though.

    • I did worry about that. Might have to buy a small battery and keep the bigger one for a blower or chainsaw or the like

      • +1

The chainsaw does fine with a 4Ah battery. Where the larger one really scores is on the angle grinder. (I've got both)

  • Was just looking for an Impact driver, thanks op! :)

Now to sell all my spare battery chargers from previous deals…

  • Shows up as out of stock for me.

  • Min buy 3

  • +2

I went to get one then realize I don't need either of these tools. signed up, credit card and address added. Almost there but nup. Saved $300! Thanks OP!

  • Mine went straight through. I think I need one….and I think it's a good deal.

  • DEWALT - XR 2Piece - 6Ah Kit - Hammer Drill & Impact Driver - 5035048710913 - DCZ266T1-XE can only be purchased in the multiple of 3. Please update the quantity to proceed with the checkout.

    • A few people have been having that issue. Are you in Vic as well?

      • Yup

        • Looks like it’s Vic that wants you to buy 3. Could be worth buying to resell but depends how much effort you wanna put in

      • Same here…

      • Me too!

    • Same here in VIC! The state they are educating us in!

  • Unfortunately out of stock. :(

  • Yup ordered fine for Gold Coast here, initially was on hold in the order status column all good now took a few mins to be processed but looks ok now

    • Mine did that at first and then very quickly changed to "pick and pack" stage with a full order number etc.

      • Yup mine was a bunch of 0's, had a web ref etc and on hold, then to open with all the full order details and now is in "pick and pack"

  • wait for Black Friday again…

  • +2

    Who wants to group buy?

    • +1

In vic, I am in :)
Guess we need one more fellow then.

    • +1

I'd like to join the group buy please? from VIC

      • If someone else can confirm from vic, I can try ordering 3 sets. Would surely then depend upon stock availability then. Cheers.

Edit: Just did a check by adding 3 in cart and now it says part is not available for ur postcode. For CnC and Delivery as well. So might as well be out of stock at least for Vic.

        • I'm in for a group.

It seems available for me buying 3.

Edit: Nope, tried to buy and not available :(

  • can you use the impact driver for undoing locknuts for your car?

    • +2

Unlikely to have enough torque. You might need an impact wrench rather than impact driver.

      • +2

That has less torque than the impact driver in this deal.

    • +1

I’d be comfortable using it for that. The impact driver has 205nm of Torque.

    • If your wheel nuts have been torqued to spec, yes. If they are over tightened by the shop no.

I had this exact experience in the last Makita deal. Once you get them to normal tightness this will work great!

    • Yes absolutely, more than enough torque. Use appropriate impact rated socket, which may not be slim enough for some wheels, and may cause cosmetic damage if you keep rattling it when it fails to first undo.

  • thanks for the quick response

  • Cheers OP. My last drill was bought from the DeWalt drill deal of 2014 with two 4ah batteries. The batteries last all day and night. Great drill too but always missed the driver to have on the side to save switching bits. Cheers

    • +2

Ha me too, started me on dewalt and now I have 8 dewalt tools including this deal that I bought over a year ago. Those original 4ah batteries are still going strong and they've had loads of use over the years. This impact driver is awesome too.

      • What other dewalts did you get?

        • +1
          • @Fantastik: I LOVE the brushless angle grinder, the skin was $129 on ebay a while back, I get a LOT of use out of it… It's great with the thin metal cutting disks… I also got an $8 60-tooth carbide aluminium cutting blade from ebay which I mainly use for cutting timber, you can get a pretty good cut with it, and I got a 6 tooth wood blade but that's only good for demo work really, it gives a real rough cut, and it strains the grinder a fair bit and chews through the batteries…

I've been very tempted to grab one of the $299 chainsaws from Bunnings to compliment my petrol saws, use it for clearing small fallen trees across thr tracks around my property…

What do you think of the chainsaw?, the chain speed suggests it might be a bit of a toy, ok for pruning odd 2" limbs and such, but I wonder how it would go on say 6"/150mm gums and such?

            • +1

@FLICKIT: I bought the chainsaw coz I was talking down a leopard tree that sat over the house so I needed to be very careful. Was very good for climbing up the tree with and taking out the smaller branches up to about 5 - 6 inches. The base of this thing was around 50cm and it was not so great for that but it did do it. Since that job I've used it for exactly what you suggest, 6" gums and it is great for that.

  • Great bit of gear - bought this kit as black Friday sale and have been consistently impressed with it

  • Are the 18v any good? Compared with 54v?

EDit: OK I see that the battery is compatible with both 18v and 54v tools. Looks great!

  • Got this set a few years ago, absolutely fantastic. The 6.0 amp battery is pretty heavy on the drills but lasts forever. Might be worth trying to find a smaller one to go with them too!

    • Any deals on?

  • Good find OP, Shame we cant get the item in VIC, tried to pick up also from the Scoresby warehouse, still the same

  • Gutted I can't get these in SA, I need 2 of them!

    • If i were you i'd call Brisbane tomorrow and see if they will ship

      • +2

Rang a local store this morning and they're shipping me 2 from Perth for no additional cost!

HEADS UP TO ANY ONE WANTING ONE OF THESE

        • Nice work mate. Great news. Going to sell one?

          • @WhatWouldBiggieDo: Naa, one for myself and one for my father, we're both lacking an impact driver so this works out even better getting the extra hammer drill too!

Just ordered 2 extra batteries from ebay (non genuine, but will fill the gap while charging the genuine and will allow both skins to be used at the same time)..

            • @iDroid: That's nice of you. I am keen to get a couple of smaller batteries for the drills and keep the big battery for a blower or chainsaw or something.

              • @WhatWouldBiggieDo: I wanted the seconds batteries so I can not have to swap bits and/or batteries to use both tools. Drill bit in the drill and screwing with the driver (one in each hand working double time!!)

        • Hey mate. So you rang the perth store or the Vic one. No one seems to be answering the call in the Ballarat store here. Which store did you call? Cheers.

          • @batranikhil: I called the Regency Park Adelaide branch on: 13 73 23

  • +1

I paid $200 for this the last deal

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/523112

    • +1

That was a great deal. Clearance stock and single store only by the look of it.

      • nope, had them at a few stores. My local, and another near my parents (not the one in the deal)

        • +1

Cool. Still clearance stock and there’s none left

          • @WhatWouldBiggieDo: yeah but see the price on that sticker? $279. Same as this deal. This isn't a deal, it's the normal price (for an admittedly now rare item). I've seen it at my local Bunnings at this price for a while, there's a few stock there left.

            • +1

              @beatsntoons: I don't agree.

If Sony released a bundle where you bought an Xbox and PS4 for roughly the same price as just an Xbox, that would be a deal and would be listed on here. If it then went out of stock and then someone found some stock somewhere and posted it here, that would also be a deal. As my post mentioned, the individual items add up to $836. It also sells regularly on Ebay for nearly $400, plus postage.

Saying it's not a deal because Bunnings have had it on clearance in some stores at some point is silly.

      • That was an excellent deal.

  • Only one battery is a little annoying if you want to make use of the drill and drive combo method of building something, if you don't have any other DW batteries.

    • -1

you can redeem a 5ah battery if you purchase this it seems

      • I tried checking the Dewalt redemption website but couldn't see any redemptions for this kit…

        • my bad i misread the unit number

          • +1

@la ciudad respirando: no dramas - this deal was/is already too good to be true..an extra battery would have made it deal of the year! And sorry to everyone else, looks like I bought the last unit over the phone just now.

  • Damn. Not available in Sydney. If any bulk buys are happening let me know

  • +2

How accurate are these stock levels? I can add 9999 to the cart with no worries. At a cost of $2.5mill.

    • it only does the stock check when you try to pay

      • +3

        Hang on then, let's try…

  • How heavy is this, some times when I roll up the wire extension at home I think about what if.
Do regular sockets work at all or not??
Also is there something for small tight places like beside the intake manifold of a car??

  • Ordered one :)

    • Would advise that you leave the AM repairs to the pros

  • says part not available to nsw postcode?
