    Good deal?

    • +2

At the moment, yes (especially during the pandemic right now).

Around $250 was considered a good deal a year ago however.

      • $250 with bundle?
Roblox game is worth $139 + 2500 Robox coins which is approx. $50.

To be honest I actually don't get the Pandemic price argument anymore. On one side people are losing jobs because there isn't enough work so technically when it comes to hiring it's an employer's market and employees are desperate (assuming the business isn't affected and in this case it isn't) but on the other hand almost all electronics have gone up or are out of stock because of supply chain routes being affected; but it has been months since the pandemic began and alot of businesses have already adjusted their models to accommodate and work with it. I don't get how stuff is still too expensive or is unavailable. 1.5 years ago the Xbox One S Minecraft Bundles were $199 a pop (similar product) and I am sure companies earned a decent margin on that price. This price is ~75% premium on those prices.

I also think the same. I guess it is an excuse to make more money. Low supply automatically increases the demand and hence the price.

    • new generation of xbox supposed to come around end of year. current generation xbox is around 7 years old

      • Can’t wait 😟

        • But I'll… ☺

    • If you aren't desperate the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S come out in a few months, the Xbox Series S won't be too much more than this and it will be much more powerful.

Just a heads up, in november Microsoft will be releasing the "Xbox Series X" and "Xbox Series S", the Xbox Series S will be around this price (Don't imagine it being more than 450 as it is the cut down next gen console).

To add to that, Xbox Series S is still a rumour, so take it with a grain of salt.

      • Xbox Series S is the worst kept secret in the gaming industry lol. It might not be called "Xbox Series S" but it definatly exists. They will have a cut down model as Sony is also doing one.

    • Will be worth looking at the One X deals around/before that time.

  • There is no “Series S” that would imply more than one, there is a “Series X” which is rumoured to include a low end console in addition to the high end XBOX which is expected to cost well over $500, possibly $600 or $700

If you have been keeping up on the leaks at all, you know that there is. The specs for the Series X (Project Scarlett) were leaked early along with the specs for the Series S (Project Lockheart), thus far only the Series X has been announced. It is likely being officially unvieled in August with the rest of the next gen launch games line up and pricing. Sony is also doing an all digital PS5, however the PS5 All Digital only removes the disk drive, this will only lead to around a $50-$100 cheaper console.

The Series S cuts down on more gpu power and ram also.

      12TFvs 4TF GPU (Series X is a 4k Machine, Series S is a 1080p machine)
      Both have the same CPU
Both have the same PCIE 4.0 SSD
      8GB of ram VS 16GB
Series X has a disk drive, Series S doesnt.

This will likely lead to around $300 of savings in Australia. if the Series X is $700, the Series S will be $400 etc..

While it may not be called the "Series S", it defiantly exists.

While the current (Xbox One, Xbox One S and Xbox One X) will be able to run micrsoft's first party exclusives untill 2022, considering how rough Halo Infnite looked even in the Series X demo, the Xbox One S will not be able to run them very well.

I bought a mine craft one brand new for $500 and I was happy to pay that much. you can't find them anymore so for me it was worth every penny.

Lol these were $199 numerous times over the last couple years on amazon.

I didn’t know what an Xbox was two years ago, and I’m not going to buy some crazy looking gears of war or whatever crap.

  • I have received my xbox today so just want to know if we need to charge battery or does it get charged while connected?

    • The x2 AA disposable batteries included work just fine. There is no need to "charge" it.

      • And Xbox doesn’t have any battery ?
        I know the controller takes 2 AA’s.
