If only we can page people…
Need @Hybroid to give their thoughts on the lights in this deal.

  • +3

The bike accessories has my interest…hope they are in stock at the ALDI's within 5km

    • I got the triangle bag last round in May. Pretty convenient for storing the phone/mask and a few snacks.

    • +4

Good price on the muc-off stuff.

    • Any comments on the repair kit?

I've only used their stands before and works great for $40

      • Incredible value at $40. I bought similar kit from pushys for double the price plus shipping

    • Actually been looking to buy some front/rear lights.

  • +4

These are OSRAM chipped not OSRAM branded lights, I thought they looked a little weird compared to the usual OSRAM products.

    • Do you need a bull bar to mount these?

      • +1

Get one of those LED bar mounting bracket that attach to your number plate mounting point and use one of them if you haven't got a bull bar?

  • Anyone used one of these toasters?
I need a new 4 slice and when i check reviews of 4 slice toasters most of them are terrible.

  • +1

Looking for info about the kettle.
Anyone tried it? Is it good or are there better for the price?

    • +5

I got a refund on one. Luckily I kept the docket. I just bought a Kmart one and it’s going great still.

      • Did you get the fancy one at Kmart?
(if you didn't, has anyone else here bought it)

The clear-glass one. It also has different buttons so it can either bring the water to 99' boil, or heat it to various other temperatures for other purposes like 80' for Green Tea or something. I'm intrigued in it, but my $10 is still going strong.

        • +1

I've got two of them. One at home and one at work. Does a great job with tea, and I'll do water at 95C then transfer to a hario gooseneck for pour over.
The one at work needs replacing after about a year and a half as it's taken to not cutting out when it hits temperature consistently, so can boil dry if left alone. Pretty nasty fault actually.
Otherwise, better built than the last Breville temp controlled kettle I had (the handles would break off at the top on some models).

        • No I just got a regular one……. it’s got a blue night on the switch when you turn it on. Mum mum has one too and hers is a year older than mine. Still going strong and she is a big tea drinker so it gets used a lot every day.

        • I got one for around 3 months. It has been great no complaints

I bought a different one from aldi and it had a chemical taste for ages. I scrubbed it so many times…

      • +1

Yes! Nothing I tried got rid of that smell.

  • Any phone on offer?

    • Did you look at the photos of the catalogue?

  • +3

Any reviews or feedback on Dash cam?
    Much appreciate….

I am guessing limes are there only for decoration and general knowledge in the citrus section?

  • Looking to buy a waffle maker, is this one any good or should I settle with a kmart one…

    • +5

I love the Kmart one. Have used it every Sunday for a year. But I’m still interested in this Aldi one.

      • +3

Yeh I quite like the removable plates which will make it easier to clean.

  • +1

Is there a temperature control on the Multi Snack Maker?

  • i missed the $39 airfryer

  • has any1 bought roof rails from Aldi and are they easy to install on any model of suv?

    • +1

Yes and they're fine as long as your existing rails are the style they connect to (raised bars). Used for several years on my old car.

    • Got them on my car and transport a fishing kayak on them. They are awesome and the price is great! I used an angle grinder to cut to length so I had less bar standing out…
      Recommend.

+1 For the bacon & egg waffle sandwich.

  • Great price on Nutella! 900g for $8

I'm mentally negging the deal for making me want to go first thing and fight over a few of these items. I will show some restraint and leave others to catch COVID though (one of the hardest hit areas in Vic).

    • +1

      thanks for the thoughts
      - sincerely wa

  • +1

bit wierd, wouldnt they do bike accessories next month after the bike sale?

    • +2

Lots of items are being re-run in quick succession, they did these bike items like three months ago. My guess is it's a flow on effect from Covid affecting production, so it's harder for them to get their normal range. Just take what you can get.

    • There's a bike sale? Do you have any more info, I haven't seen anything.. Thanks :)

  • +2

Anyone know when the motorbike gear sale will be this year? It's normally always August and there's only 1 Saturday left now…

  • +2

They have a few different series/types of bike accessory sales…

    • True that the full lineup isn't exactly the same, but the bike bag, phone mount, water bottle, bike lights and helmets are the same as 3 months ago.

  • +1

I had one of the Aldi bike helmets a few years ago. Compared it with a colleague's $200+ Rudy Project helmet and we were both surprised to see the manufacturer's address for both was identical. Me pleasantly, him not so much…

    • +1

Same as there yogurt vs Tasman Valley. Under $5 always.

  • In line now for the egg cooker
