Have been purchasing various stuff from them…excellent seller

    • Totally agree…never had any problems with them :-)

  • +12

Free shipping on a product sent via email? I'm in!

  • +3

I bought from them a couple of months ago - they sent me a wrong code (digit wrong) and were quick to rectify so can complain they should have got it right the first time, but they sorted it within 24 hours so there's that.
Would buy from them again though.

    Microsoft 365 Family 6 Users 1 Year Sub $98

    That's not a bargain, It's their normal price…
I normally buy it off them for $80-$90 when on sale

Their previous 2 prices in cache this year were $96
    https://web.archive.org/web/20200302002621/https://www.saveo… $96
    https://web.archive.org/web/20200317193048/https://www.saveo… $96

definitely not the cheapest it has ever been, I urge anyone that doesn't need it right now to wait a month or two, usually when bing lee does their $79 for 12 month deal. But the cheapest it is right now.

      • Yeah Bing had this in June last year…#wait

      • I am due to renew for 12 month in a couple of days - am I better to switch back to month for a month or so until it is on sale at bing lee whenever that may be? Or get it from this deal?

    • Office works charge 113 https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/microsoft-…

      And Microsoft website is 129

      • +4

And I've always paid around $80-$90 since the program began.

saveonit are one of the cheapest and this is their normal price, they don't sell it for $113/$129.

I usually wait for the black friday sales and buy for the next year or two…

    • +1

Only if you have Kogan first, Kogan charges a delivery fee of $9.99

      • ah yes, I do have Kogan first. thanks for pointing that out.

        • +3

Kogan first comes in more than just a free trial?!

          • @incipient: If you sign up to Kogans credit card you get the membership included. Recently cancelled mine so I can wait 12 months and sign up again for the bonus store credit. No annual fee either.

      • +6

A delivery fee, for a piece of paper, with a printed code to redeem a digital download.

        Hmmm…. That seems efficient.

      • delivery of +$11.99 makes total purchase $100.99 via Kogan
      • You can have trial

        • If I read it right, the Kogan listing sends out a physical card with the key on it?

          • @Gbreal: Yes they do send out a physical item. " In the box - 1 x Microsoft 365 Family 6 People 12 Month Card – Activiation Card"

  • Curious, can I use this after one year? Or I need to re-purchase for another year? I usually use Google docs but now need to install Microsoft packages just to use some products.

    • +5

You have to buy another subscription to use it if you can wait for a month or two you can pick it up for $79 and stack it up to 5 years I believe.

      • So can you buy multiple subscriptions at once and stack them? Interesting

        • +4

Yes, when the creme de la creme $79 deal gets posted you will be prompted to stack up on it by the community.

          • @Gbreal: You mean, using the Unclassified to ask for a slot in the family subscription right? I tried the family last time but couldn't find any option to reuse it for 5 years instead of 6 users 1 year.

    • +1

It's a subscription so you need to renew every year to keep using the products. I think OneDrive is available as read-only for some time after your subscription expires

    • +1

You can renew it at any time and it just adds on the extra year, so stock up a year or two ahead when it's on sale.

    • +6

Yes you need to buy a subscription each year. 6 users all get 1TB of cloud storage each. I get it for that alone and get the office stuff effectively as a free bonus. I reckon about $8 a month for 6TB of cloud storage is a bargain in itself.

      • Their cloud storage is the main reason I subscribe too.
For me, it's the best per TB cloud storage provider going around, which I use to backup my many photos and videos. Yes, I see their other Office software as a free bonus.
I'm going to wait till it drops to $79, making it $6.58 a month for 6TB of cloud storage.

        • Never really thought about it that way as was looking for cheap cloud storage as a separate exercise.

Obvious really, but I completed overlooked it in that context.

          Cheers

    • +1

Yes you can stack them. Last year I got 3 of them from Bing Lee ebay sale (posted on ozbargain thankfully), and just loaded all the codes into my account and each code stacks 1 year.

  • +1

OP - the 15 month deal is still available from resellers but ONLY with a computer or laptop purchase in the same transaction. So the $111 for previous deal of 15 months from Bing Lee isn't a true comparison to an outright purchase.

    • but ONLY with a computer or laptop purchase in the same transaction.

That will probably make it a tad more expensive for most people.

  • +2

+1 for SaveonIT, bought my 365 sub for the past few years from them - no issues.

  • +1

can recommend SaveOnIT, good seller and good support.

  • I know there's benefit to continuous updates and all, but I wonder if there's one time purchase keys?

  • +1

This seller is legit. I buy my yearly Office 365 from them.

  • +2

I know that MS Office has its own advantages but if anyone is looking for a free alternative, Libreoffice 7.0 is pretty good too: https://www.zdnet.com/article/libreoffice-7-now-more-microso…

PS: I'm not claiming that it's a better alternative for everyone…

    • +2

Agree. After using libre Office I can't imagine paying a dollar for microsoft office for personal use. Granted I only use for basic spreadsheets and letters.

    • +1

Do they offer 1Tb of space also?

      • No they do not. Not directly and not for free at least…

If 1TB of cloud storage is crucial to you, then MS 365 is definitely a great deal, possibly one of the best!

  • -5

These Office subs are an absolute rip off.

    • +3

Right. Why do you say that? You know there are people employed to continually develop this product and maintain the platform. For $100 for 6 users per year including a large amount of cloud storage it seems very cheap on a per user basis compared to the value you'd get from using these services. Back in the days MS Office perpetual licence for the CD or floppy disc version used to be around $500 which in today's money is probably closer to $800+. Also was a static version with limited updates and no cloud capabilities.

      • -2

It was $15 on the EPP.

        • +1

that's because your company had already purchased it!

          • @crazyj: Why aren't there similarly priced deals with 365? Maximise profits, I guess?

            • +1

@gasman70: It's a bigger offering than before… online storage as well.

That $15-$20 deal back in the day (only several years ago) was imo quite crazy. But I certainly purchased it! For PC and MAC (I don't even own a MAC!).

            • +1

@gasman70: ps: see my note at the bottom of this thread which details the new version of EPP, HUP.

Ordered Office 2019 (Home & Student) from overseas - 1 each for both laptops. Digitally delivered, downloaded and activated. Paid about $100 for 2 - lifetime license for Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Note.

    • Was it a legit license or one of those oem ones that’s only meant to be sold with hardware?

      • Activated on Microsoft website after logging in - Also once I installed the first one I forgot which of the 2 I have used up already. Ended up entering the 1st product key (thinking I haven't used that one) but it said I have used it already.

So I reckon it is legit..

Also, bought it using credit card, so in case of any issue if I would have faced - could have raised a dispute.

        • Can I ask where u bought from? I need office, but aren’t keen on ongoing subscription cost.

          • @Streetlights: Amazon India, seller was FourFox Cyber.

Infact I need one more for the new laptop (lenovo + CR deal) and am waiting for the price to drop. At the moment this seller has listed for Rs 4770 and I paid 6000 for 2 last time around.

Check your work emails to see if you're eligible for the Microsoft Home User Program - I get Office 365 for Family (6 users) for $90.30 without having to shop around.

    • +3

I miss the good old days where Home Use is $15-$30 for Office and you don't have to renew every year.

  • +1

Also, if you have kids in a state school in QLD they are entitled to install office onto 5 devices. Visit http://office.com and sign in with their school email address to download.

    • Same in NSW.
Not necessarily need to download from office.com, to use can just login into any copy, say the one from App Store on macOS.

  • Available anytime, check if your corporate/edu account is eligible for subscription 30% discount.

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/home-use-program

Comes to $90.30 on MS themselves

    Worked on my edu account

    Edit: Oops, already just posted

  • -5

i can get full licence these for less then $40 lol

  • Thanks, was about to run out of time. Just need them to deliver now.

  • -1

    Thats a BALD deal

    • I shaved my head bald and my brother beat me up, he told me not to do it but I did. I should have listened to him its my fault, sorry.

      • Wow it's covid times we all do stupid stuff

  • I also buy my anti-virus software, Kaspersky from them. Cheap as..

  • Completely legit and great service. I bought office and kaspersky from them.

  • Why would you get this over just buying the key that lasts forever? You do realise this subscription thing is to just suck more money out of you for basically nothing?

    https://www.allkeyshop.com/blog/buy-microsoft-office-2019-pr…

I've used the above tons of times no issues

    • You get 6TB of cloud storage.

  • +2

Hey if you work for a company which has a medium-large size, they will likely have an agreement with Microsoft where you can leverage the Home Use Program - it has changed over the years and is now the same as this subscription - but cheaper!

Try your work email address at -

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/home-use-program

It checks your work email address to see if you qualify, then if so you just purchase using your HOME email address, and it is currently 30% cheaper than retail.

    • sometimes your work has an agreement but the administrator hasn't ticked the box to publish / allow it for their staff. ASK THEM!

    Straight from the site -

Microsoft 365 Personal (Formerly Office 365 Personal)
    AU$69.30 per year incl. GSTAU$ 69 .30/year incl. GST
    • For one person
    • Premium versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and more
    • 1 TB OneDrive cloud storage to back up files and photos
    • Works on Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android

There is also a bigger license, useful for families, which is reduced as well.

Microsoft 365 Family (Formerly Office 365 Home)
    AU$90.30 per year incl. GSTAU$ 90 .30/year incl. GST
    • One convenient subscription for up to 6 people
    • Premium versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and more
    • 6 TB OneDrive cloud storage to back up files and photos (1 TB per person)
    • Works on Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android

    I hope this helps!

  • Wish they did 1 user for $20 a year

    • You just need to find four friends.

    • OzBargain users often sell spots for around that price in the classifieds

Could always start your own family and sell the spots you don't need

  • Thanks, payment via credit card had a 2% fee so I did via PayID, not sure how long it will take them to email the code.

  • Can some shed some light - does everyone log into the same email address (like sharing netflix) or do they have separate accounts (like spotify family)?

This is a great option for the 1TB alone, however I don't want others seeing my data.

    • +1

      the 1tb is yours. only.

you can share it, but it's just on your account.
