  • I always wondering how to get dry after that 😐

    • Air dry

    • +19

      floor mat

    • there's a blower on some models

    • +17

      You wipe ^_^

      • +1

        King Julien: "Who wipes?!"

      • +5

        More like pat softly

    • +2

      you wipe.

even for versions with hot air function, it will take ages to dry so the best way is wipe first, and then use hot air to dry completely.

      I have two panasonic.

    • +2

      Wait 30 seconds

    • +3

      Shake well after using

      • @louise89 are you a pharmacist haha

        • +1

If they are they're bad at it. Its meant to be before using

  • +2

Is the 'Standard External PP Cotton Filter' for peepee or poopoo?

  • Dumb question.. but how do I actually install this onto my toilet?

    • +1

Old seat off, new seat on. T connector out outlet, one way to seat other rto cistern and plug into power socket

      • Thanks!

      • Is the plumbing part viable for someone who has no plumbing experience to install? Also I'm in a rental

        • Yep, although I installed the Kogan bidet, I'd assume they're all similar in that regard. I have 0 plumbing experience, I'm an IT dude and I just followed the instructions they printed out. It was fairly simple and only took me under an hour to change.

        • +1

The electricity is more of an issue than the plumping, its just bolt on bolt off type stuff for the plumbing.

        • Super easy. The hard part can be finding power. Our toilet had an outlet in a cupboard for some reason. So we ran an extension through some duct along the walls to the seat.

Best decision ever. I miss not having a bidet when I'm at work and seriously considering something portable when I can't wait till I get home.

          • @crainger: I'm more worried about the plumbing part. Does it connect to the pipe under the sink? Would i have to drill a hole or like leave the door open or something?

            • @enwar: Generally the cistern outlet next to the toilet, sometimes it's in the cistern it's self which makes it harder and almost impossible if you have a in wall cistern

              • @DoesntEvenMatter: Ah damn I'm pretty sure I have an in wall cistern. Thanks for all the info

                • @enwar: LOL, pretty sure?
pretty easy to see a cistern!, but really what your looking for is any tap with a pipe coming off on it, the one used to turn the water on and off to the toilet.

      • Interesting question though, how many people have a power outlet in their toilet?

        • I do. Gotta ask your builder or retrofit. I don't think any mass produced house design will have it as standard

        • Mine only toilet and bathroom together have power outlet

  • +7

This was plagued with the failure after 18 months wasn't it

    • +1

I've mine for 20 months now and even if it failed now I'd buy another as we've gotten our money's worth from it already. Great buy.

      • Do you measure your money's worth in kilograms of poo or litres of wee? And what value do you ascribe to each? Does it depend on what you've eaten?

    • Mine died this morning! It made it to 2 years. RIP.

    • mine made about 14months so yep…

still "work"s, on and off, but the controls don't work as intended. and it starts goes cold, still squirting when it withdraws back into its home.

  • +1

Hmm we don't have a power outlet in our toilet (as I imagine most houses wouldn't, except perhaps newer builds), so other than putting one in, I'd have to run an extension cord around the corner into the laundry - or just smash a hole through the wall :/

    • +1

Yeah, there's also regulations of where a power point can be depending if you have a shower on the same wall etc.

    • +3

      Use methane powered generator

      • +4

Or cycle while you do the business :)

  • Is it possible to get an English sticker for this?

  • +8

be careful with this one, mine died after a year..it will malfunction before that

    • +19

      mine died after a year

I'm not surprised considering what you were feeding it.

    • what failed? I've had mine for a year or so already…

    • +9

dont understand why people downvote for sharing feedback.
mine had the same problem, buttons stopped working just 12 months, reset didnt work..
bought it from gearbest and claimed warranty and they sent a new one…
now, the replaced one has started malfunctioning after a year - sometimes it stops working, after reset it works and then some buttons work and some dont..
will buy this one and keep it as a spare…

sometimes i wonder if we should switch off after every use and switch on to use?

    • +10

My first one died ar around 20 months mark, I know several other cases when it died after around 18 months. Recently I bought another one, and noticed several changes - the seat is sleeker, it doesn't wash the nozzle if it has not been used, quieter, different filter design. Hopefully they have fixed the self destroy function too.

      • I'm at exactly 18 months - so far no issues and permanently on/lit up! Still I bought another one whilst cheap as a spare - I made an expensive mistake installing the 1st one - vanity needed replacing and older bathroom - drilled through a pipe! I think swapping for the same model makes sense if it does die!

  • Thanks… I have one of these already… I ordered another at that price as a spare for it this one fails…easier to swap out…

  • fork, I paid $254 for this on sunday!

    • contact your credit card for price protection lel

      • paid with paypal…

  • Curious of the failure - I had no issues so far..

    • +1

Seems to be electrical in failure. The built in overload protection seems to flip.

  • +2

"where'd you get that deal… the toilet store?"

  • What if my water connector is on the right hand side?, also for those that have this seat, does the seat itself make lean forward/ on an angle like the other Xiaomi toilet seats?

    • I have the water pipe route behind toilet, not sure if that's viable with yours. Also seat does not slope.

  • Had mine for many many months, very happy. One of my jets failed but the other one still good, they seem to switch every so often. Would love an instruction manual on how to take it apart again so i can fix the fail point.

  • +2

I bought two of these just over 18 months ago. One has failed entirely, the other seems to be going strong. The annoying thing with the one that failed is that it has completely seized up, can't even get the seat warmer to turn on, which is a travesty!
Have a feeling there may be an issue with the solenoid valves in the unit, which is probably causing the unit to stop working… Have not had the guts to open it up yet, will do so this weekend.

Would be nice if they offered extended warranty, or a repair guide.

  • err missed this deal :(

  • Shows in Stock but wont accept the coupon

    • Thats because all the AU stock is gone and only CN stock is left.

  • +1

Stupid to not use a bidet…savages!

  • +2

Yeah as much as I loved this seat giving me the sweet sweet warmth in winter I wouldn't buy it again, mine died out of no where after 18m.

  • Has anybody installed and recommend a simple toilet set with the nozzle and simple water pressure settings without the bells and whistles of electric connection, led lights ?

  • Which smart toilet seat is regarded as the best?

  • Has anyone been severely ridiculed or laughed at because they use one of these? I love them but fear the judgement of my friends thinking that I use it for sexual pleasure or something haha

    • only 1 friend didn't get it, most people are curious, once you get one, you wont look back, very worth the money. so much cleaner.;

    • +1

I remember a good point - you wash your hands with water, but wipe your shit off with paper.

  • any more stock? late to the party.. :(

  • Only in the country down under, that toilet paper and toilet seats get sold out so quickly.

  • Is this smart enough to clean itself other than cleaning people's butts?

  • Only 30 days warranty?!

  • I've had one of these for a couple of years, it hasn't died but it has formed a mind of its own.
I never know if I'm gonna get a nice warm wash at level 2 pressure (which is the setting on the control panel) or a 4 pressure cold water blast, it gets to decide this I don't. It just seems to pick a random setting and blast that at me. I'd say the firmware gets corrupted after a while and no amount of resetting seems to change its mind.

It really isn't the kind of thing you can send back for warranty which is fine because it doesn't really have one.

Having said that it is really cheap and it mostly works, I'm in the market for a proper Toto or something Japanese but they are all $1k+

    • echo ! probably it’s the Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning they gotta improve on ;)

  • Have to downvote this as it does not sync to my calendar and being regular is an import health consideration.

  • Anyone had issue connecting water hose to the side of the filter? It does not fit with current hose that we use, so went to bunnings to find one but couldnt find one..

    • I had issues connecting the one that goes to the cistern, because its plastic, i kept almost cross threading it, it wouldnt go on smoothly at first, eventually got good seal, just be gentle and don't force it.

because i did cross thread one of them, i did have to get the hacksaw out and trim it back a few mm, lucky there is heaps of thread on it.

  • alot of reviews show a fail rate at 2 years in.
