Amino Z Whey Protein Isolate WPI 1kg $29.95 Delivered (+ $5 credit) or 3kg $69.95 Delivered (+ $15 credit) @ Amino Z

2590
OZB-WPI

Update 1/10 - All flavours are available except banana which has been further delayed. This flavour we import from the USA and our shipment has been delayed due to the wharf strikes. Our shipper is doing everything possible, but we have been told today that it may now arrive October 22nd (at the earliest). Vanessa is going to reach out to everyone who has backordered banana flavour. If you have ordered banana and prefer to switch flavours, please PM us and Vanessa will action this for you.

A couple of weeks back we did a promotion on our WPC and I've received a few requests to do one on our WPI. So here goes:

1kg for $29.95 Delivered + $5 back in store credit (Usually $34.95 + Delivery)
3kg for $69.95 Delivered + $15 back in store credit (Usually $94.95 + Delivery)

Coupon code: OZB-WPI

Here's a video I whipped up for the deal (including product info and mixing demo): https://youtu.be/Z-k3m7Hrzno

A quick breakdown of the product:

  • Available in: Chocolate, Vanilla Creamy, Chocolate Coconut, Banana, Strawberry, Choc Orange (like Jaffa's) and Unflavoured
  • Per serve: 29.1 - 24.4g protein / 0.3 - 0.9g fat / 0.4 - 3.4g carbs (varies between flavours)
  • All natural flavouring and sweetener. We use stevia and no artificial flavours.
  • Soy free - we use sunflower lecithin instead of soy lecithin (which is common in whey proteins)
  • 100% Australian made
  • Backed by our 110% guarantee. Try it and if you don't love it, we'll give you 110% back (in store credit) or a full refund (including delivery). As I mentioned in the video, we offer this so you can try the product risk-free.

Some other notes:

  • If you're after 3kg, you can choose a 3kg size OR 3x 1kg sizes if you want to try different flavours. We pack these into 1kg pouches so either way you'll receive 3x 1kg pouches. To do so, just add in multiple 1kg options (eg. 1kg Chocolate, 1kg Vanilla, 1kg Chocolate Coconut) and then apply the coupon code in cart.
  • To view the full nutritional panel, just click on the "NUTRITIONAL INFO" tab on the page and then select the flavour.
  • Store credit is assigned as "Z Points" to your account once your order ships. It can then be applied to any future order that you place.
  • Best before dates will be 22-24 months away. We turn this product over very quickly so all current stock has been produced recently.

Some updates from customer suggestions (thanks so much for the feedback everyone - it's the best way for us to improve!!):

  • We have confirmed that the protein is grass fed, added hormone free, ultra and micro filtered and cold pressed. This is published on the product page description - thanks @RichardMelbourne
  • The amino acid profile is now published in the product page description - thanks @Yuddenator123

Any questions please ask!

Jay

PS. As a side note, I would love to get any feedback you may have on the product. We have spent a lot of time on ingredient sourcing and optimising the flavouring, but we are heavily focused on ongoing product improvement. Please feel free to reach out with product suggestions at any time as I'd love to discuss this with you and share with the team.

What do you recommend for someone starting out?
I'm 6ft 65 kg and never have been able to put weight on my whole life (41 Years)
What would be the go with what protein and maybe pre work out ?
if i wanted to start lifting weights n maybe have a summer body :)

    Great video .

    • +2

Thanks for the question and feedback Koko34.

If you're training at a moderate to high level of intensely then following a weight training session WPI is going to be the best quality protein to consume due to its superior rate of absorption and bioavailability (or your body's ability to utilise the protein). You'll need this to assist in recovery and muscle growth post-workout.

We do have a pre workout here: https://www.aminoz.com.au/amino-z-complete-pre-workout.html (we recently launched this one). It's a clean pre workout with a moderate amount of stimulant (275mg of caffeine per serve). I would recommend starting off with something on the more moderate side as there are some very high stim pre workouts on the market (upwards of 400mg).

Do make sure your training and nutrition is taken care of also. Supplementation is only going to be a small part of it. Without the correct training program or diet, supplementation alone will do very little.

Having started out not too long ago, if you have iOS I suggest checking out fitbod. They provide a pretty good guide / workout plan complete with videos. Obviously not as good as a PT, but a good way to start.

Another way is to get a PT to help you build a plan that you can follow, and check in with the PT once every couple of weeks etc.

      Have fun!

hi. by the sounds of it, i have very similar metabolism to you. i managed to put on 5-10 kg with about a year of weights training and high protein+carb diet. sign up to a gym (shop around for best prices). they will usually give you 2-3 free PT sessions. use these to get a workout plan and for them to show you the ropes. then google the rest of the way. having a protein shake every day will help build that mass.

        Chocolate Coconut is 🔥
        Tastes exactly like Bounty.

        • I got 3kg of it based on your comment, fingers crossed.

      • Hi Jay. Just sent you a PM, can you check?

        • Yep received, Vanessa will be able to get back to you as soon as she can. Sorry, I cannot keep up with all the messages on my own!

Damn, I literally just received my Optimum Nutrition Whey Protein yesterday..

I would have definitely ordered this stuff instead if I knew!

    • ON Whey is still a good product - maybe next time :)

      Jay

      • What kind of expiry dates do your 1KG have on them?
I might order a 1KG bag, so I can try out the flavour for when I need to order some protein again

        Thanks!

        • Best before dates will be upwards of 20 months generally. It's all fresh stock, much of it will be close to 2 years.

          Jay

    • Wondering myself the difference in quality between ON and aminoZ wpi.

  • I didn't realise you stock ALCAR too. I've got a 1 kg one to try. I always love to try new things, and also support an Australian company doing the right thing by their customers!

Quick question - Compared to others like Vital Strength WPI, why is the protein per serve lower (Vital Strength WPI is 37g)?

    • +1

      Thanks for the support Geminist!

So I just checked out the Vital Strength WPI. It's likely due to the different flavour profile. I cannot tell if they use natural or artificial flavouring, and this may be a contributing factor in the differing amounts in ours vs theirs.

Also note that their serving size is a lot larger than ours (40g versus 33g).

      Hope this helps.

      Jay

      • Many thanks for clarifying!

I've got the chocolate orange (what a unique flavour). Looking forward to trying it, thanks again!

        • +1

Thanks for the order Geminist! You know when Chiara (head of product development) created the Choc Orange I didn't know what to expect, but I love it personally. Really appreciate the order and please feel free to share any product feedback or suggestions when you get it.

Imagine eating a packet of ALLEN'S Jaffas.

  • +1

I'm REALLY curious about this.. I love the guarantee. I generally buy from Bulk Nutrients, but only two of their flavoured products (choc and choc honeycomb) don't taste like a mouthful of sugar.
Plus some of their flavours are a real stretch.. Banana tastes nothing like banana for instance.

I hate wasting money on protein that is over-sweetened, so the fact you back up your product with a guarantee/refund is excellent. Thank you!

    • What's your order number? I can have the team check.

I'm concerned this may be held up as Australia Post and Amarex have both been experiencing delays lately. If however they have lost it, we'll ship a replacement.

      • Hi Jay,
Order # 109570802. I started a live chat a little while ago but it crashed on my phone.

        Cheers

        • Thank you BigRedPanda! I have checked the order and also sent you an email using the email address you used for that order. I'll keep you updated.

          Thank you!

  • Need an onion flavour for my onion boys.

Seriously though coffee flavour is my go to (when I can get it).

    • +3

Yeah we're working on new flavours. Onion hasn't quite made the shortlist, but coffee has been requested a few times so watch this space.

      Jay

      • +1

Haha. Onion is running joke on a certain fitness forum that filters the word soy and uses onion in place.

Thanks for your efforts Jay, best supps vendor I've used.

        • Haha oh there you go, that's my learning for the day.

          Jay

  • I normally use UProtein but your video sold me - you look trustworthy ;) Just bought 3kg.

    • Thanks for the order trentgibbo! Really appreciate the support!

      Jay

  • Thanks, got 3Kg. $23.31 per Kg is not bad at all.

Edit: Someone just post another protein deal here

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/566038

Not sure which one to buy now

    • Awesome thanks for the order Homr!

      • "If you're after 3kg, you can choose a 3kg size OR 3x 1kg sizes if you want to try different flavours. We pack these into 1kg pouches so either way you'll receive 3x 1kg pouches."

How do you do this? I can't seem to find an option

        • For this, just add in the 1kg size multiple times. For example 1kg chocolate, 1kg vanilla, 1kg chocolate coconut. Then apply the discount code.

          Hope this helps.

          Jay

          • @aminozcomau: ahhh cool thank you

            • @Homr: My pleasure.

              • @aminozcomau: Ordered, thank you

Hopefully it'll last me till December and I'll have a summer body by then too.

The price you're looking at is for unflavoured. Why would you want unflavoured protein?

  • -3

Hi Just wondering if anyone can recommend an alternative to Prana protein powder? I feel like I'm getting ripped off buying Prana.. and you know.. we can't have that here!

    • +1

Prana On is still a good brand, just not all that cheap. I do like the fact that they focus on an all natural product. But sorry we don't have any cheap options for similar products.

      Jay

      • No worries, thanks for letting me know.

Thanks just ordered, had $4.20 worth of Z Points from an order 7 years back.

      Jay

  • have you got samples of all the flavours? I'm happy to pay for them and pay for delivery. I just prefer to try before I buy full size.

    • Only in the chocolate and vanilla at this stage. We are working on the other flavours, but the link is here:

      https://www.aminoz.com.au/samples/amino-z-whey-protein-isola…

If you like, you can get the full size and use our 110% Guarantee mentioned above if you'd prefer.

      Jay

You won't be disappointed. Been buying this for a good year or 2 now

  • Hey mate great deal.

"If you're after 3kg, you can choose a 3kg size OR 3x 1kg sizes if you want to try different flavours. We pack these into 1kg pouches so either way you'll receive 3x 1kg pouches."

Bow do we do this? I didnt see the option

    Edit sorry someone already asked

    • I'll update the main text to explain - there will likely be other people wondering the same thing. Thanks for pointing this out sauce2k.

      Jay

  • Hi OP, whats the expiry date for for the powder?

    • +2

It's a best before, and it will be generally close to 2 years as most of the stock has been manufactured in the last few weeks.

      Jay

  • +1

    Hey Jay,

    I tried it recently and liked it in the vanilla flavour but maybe just a few points I thought;

    • Would be great to see it combined with BCAA's like a lot of the other proteins (especially Leucine) and digestive enzymes, even if there was a seperate product that cost a few $ more (eg, something similar to the Balance Nutrition 100% natural whey and WPI).
    • Scoop in the 1kg pack needs to be bigger! (not sure if the 3kg scoop is bigger).

I am guessing the actual whey ingredient is Australian too as it says Australian made?

Good work on keeping it natural, low in sugars and high in protein, quite impressive for a local product!

    • Thanks aj01, really appreciate the feedback here.

That's a great suggestion with the fortification of BCAA's and digestive enzymes. I'll bring this suggestion to our team for consideration.

Also thanks for the note regarding the scoop. The 3kg pack is essentially 3x 1kg as we pack them all into 1kg sizes so product remains fresh (and it helps with efficiencies to keep the cost down). However I'll also pass this on to the team for review.

The whey isolate is imported, but it's fully manufactured in Australia.

Thanks also for the note regarding the other features of the product. This was a key focus when we were developing it to keep it really simple, low in sugar and all natural.

      Jay

      • Hi Jay. Where’s the isolate from?

Isn’t isolate like 99% of the product? Need a label like those on food packages - “made in aus from xx% imported ingredients”

        • Hi FrugalDealHunter - Fonterra WPI is from NZ.

          Jay

          • @aminozcomau: Awesome deal for NZ WPI although I think their spec uses soy lecithin- True protein charge $65 per kg for that!
Fonterra do make WPI in other countries too though, not just NZ so which one is this?

  • Out of MyProtein and stumbled onto this post, just bought some orange choc flavours and fingers crossed it tastes alright.

    • Thanks for the order jpsnail! I personally really enjoy the choc orange. Keen to get your feedback once you try it.

      Jay

  • Great video.

    • Thanks emeraldpiggy!

      Jay

      • Hi I am about to place the order, just checking out the Info, it seems like unflavoured has best nutritional ratio

Highest protein / lowest carb * Sugar

        Am I correct?

  • you guys posted a sale only recently which I regretted missing now once again the sale is back so soon. damn. if only i can finish my 2 kilos quickly :)

    • Sorry you missed it, but the protein does have a best before of almost 2 years if you did want to stock up :)

      Jay

  • How long will it take for metro melbourne delivery? Thanks.

    • Currently with COVID delivery delays in Melbourne it can take 3-5 business days as a guide. Australia Post is especially backed up. It might be a little faster via Fastway though.

      Jay

The video was a great idea Jay, you've got a sale and upvote from me, just ordered 3kg.

    • Thanks for the feedback Andos86! And also thanks heaps for the order!

Thanks vv285, most appreciated! Hope you enjoy it and I welcome any feedback you have on the product!

      Jay

  • Bought 3kgs, first time trying post workout protein, would be good to know how long 3kgs would last if I take it 5 days a week.

    • Thank you @sujith1799! It also depends on how many times you wish to take your protein shake per day but the 3kg size can make up to 90 serves.

      • Vanessa
  • Coming towards the end of my Protein, haven’t changed from VPA in years. Will give this a go for a change. What’s the best flavor? Cheers.

    • Thank you DJ710! When it comes to the flavour, it really depends on your own preference for your protein shake/drink, but personally, Vanilla's my favourite flavour so I would always get that. We are also getting good feedback for the Choc Orange, Unflavoured (if you're into slightly creamy flavour), Chocolate/etc.

You can also try the 3kg $69.95 Delivered with 3 different flavours (just add 1kg size of each of the flavour you wish to try).

      Hope you like it! Thanks!

      • Vanessa

Ordered the Choc orange, Chocolate Coconut and Banana.

  • When will you have a WPC offer again? Currently I buy from Bulk Nutrients but I'd like to give you a go

    • We're actually working on new flavours and coffee has been requested a few times so keep an eye with our future deals and flavours coming! Thanks BargainMe!

      • Vanessa
    • I think Vanessa replied to the wrong one in relation to the coffee :) But WPC wise, I'd suggest to subscribe to our newsletter for updates - we currently have no scheduled WPC promotion planned though.

You can try our our WPC with code ROW which will give a 5% discount. And it's backed by our 110% Guarantee also.

      Jay

  • Ordered!

Love supporting Aussie business and your stuff looks great. I shared the link around with the lads too.

    Take care!

PS: When are you getting unflavoured back as we make our own stacks usually.

      Thanks newti!

Unflavoured should be back within a week or so.

      Jay

  • Hey Jay, great deal on wpi I'm running low on wpc any chance you can do a deal on wpc? Looking forward to try your products as a newbie :)

    • Thanks! You just missed our deal on the WPC. We don't have one at the moment, but you can give ours a go with coupon code ROW if you want to try it out. We don't currently have any promo's scheduled on it right now.

      Jay

  • Jay just putting in an order now for 3kg. What would you say is your most popular flavour?

    • Thanks havok44! Most popular is chocolate followed by choc coconut and also vanilla. Hope this helps.

      Jay

  • Ive been sourcing my protein from Amino Z great co to do deal with!

Ive been using it as a meal replacement to slim down, but one thing Ive never really found was serving size guide. I understand people use protein for a number of reasons, but what would your advice be for a bloke who's 6'7 115kg using it as a meal replacement? I've been using scitec and normally do 60g servings 600ml slim milk once a day at least sometimes twice if i do a night cardio workout etc

    • I wouldn't use it as a meal replacement… It's missing a lot of the vitamins, fibre and minerals you need

      • I normally use it once per day as a meal replacement (generally lunch) with fibre supplement & still get my brekky and dinner chicken, veggies, brown rice, pasta, bread etc (2nd one for the day isn't consumed as a meal replacement)

    • Good point previously about the meal replacement. But you can use this to help lower your calorie intake if you would otherwise consume a calorie rich meal.

But for weight loss, you may wish to consider a casein protein which is much slower to digest and may have a better impact on satiety as a result. Here's a link: https://www.aminoz.com.au/amino-z-micellar-casein.html
