25% off Your First Year @ 1Password, from US$2.24/Month (Billed Annually)

200
PRVCYCOM

1Password currently has a deal for 25% off your first year, when paid annually.

That means the prices (in USD) for your first year are:

  • $2.24/month for single accounts
  • $3.74/month for family accounts
  • $2.99/user/month for team accounts
  • $5.99/user/month for business accounts

I have been using 1Password for a few months now and have been enjoying it. I wish I had this deal when I signed up - I was waiting for a deal and just bit the bullet at full price. Unfortunately they won't apply this to existing accounts :(

Been using 1P for years. Love the service.

  • can you use Google Play credit to pay for this?

  • Never tried this one but have been using Firefox.

It also has a free password manager. Can securely sync across multiple devices (PC, phone, tablet …). Love it

Another free option i also use is Bitwarden which is excellent and also available for multiple devices

      • +3

+1 bitwarden, premium is US$10 annually, yes, annually, you get 2FA in return.

LastPass is enough in most circumstance, and it’s free.

  • Have been surprised how handy 1Password is. Things like Firefox's password manager and all that is great, but having this app help throw in and update details on almost all apps on the phone is superb.

  • how is this compare to google password manager ? any advise, folks ? Thank you :)

    • +2

Google's password manager is flawed in that it's linked with your Google account, the one thing that people target.
If your Google account gets compromised, then they also have all the passwords you've saved in it.

I've been using this for years. 1Password is a very reliable password manager, and I found it to be better than LastKey and other password managers as interworking with iOS, Safari, Windows, Linux and Chromebook. Its better-finished product and good support. Answering to previous comments, 1Password do this for a living and its a paid service so you can't compare with Google Password manager which is a free and perhaps a minimal product. Disclaimer though, I've not used Google password manager.

1password sells its own gift card 125 US$ for 99US$ which is better than 25%. I've purchased three cards, so I am set for years. 1Password Gift Card

      Isn't 25% off 125 USD = 93.75 USD?

  • Use 1Password on my personal devices and Lastpass on work devices.

    Both are quite good.

  • I have used 1Password for half a decade now possibly more. Love it, my most used and most reliable service I’ve ever used.

While you can use some cheaper services for password management, none of them are as comprehensive as 1password and they also have the best customer service of any app I’ve used.

The OTP service built into 1password is also awesome.

Highly recommend and best way to do it is using the $100 gift cards that gives you 25% off.

    • Thanks didn’t know about the gift cards.

Still expensive (also FYI it works out to 20.8% discount not 25%) IMHO.

I have paid for 1P many times in over 10 years via various update to Mac and iOS apps but haven’t since they moved to the subscription model which works out to around aud$100 a year.

I do like the app but don’t consider it value for money any more personally for that reason.

Currently limping along with an older version that I had bought. Hoping something changes or find an alternative in the meantime. Probably won’t so will just have to suck it up.

It is definitely a great app/ecosystem but value for the person obviously will vary. Glad you’re enjoying it!

  • Can't say a bad word about 1Password. I use it personally and so does my work.

And anything that Troy Hunt recommends I trust.

      NordVPN? lol

  • As others have said above, 1Password is great. Can't fault it.

  • How does this compare to Dashlane? Using Dashlane now on a one month free trial

    • I’ve tried quite a few password managers and I’d say 1Password is the best.

1Password can store all passwords locally, unlike other managers. But if you want syncing you can store passwords in the cloud.

I get premium for free though. Not sure how I’d rate it if I had to pay for it.

If you are a student or have .edu email, there is 6 months free promo with 1password

    • never knew they had an extended trial for students, thanks!

  • does anyone use this in conjuction with lastpass or 2x 1 passwords? Wanting to use both at once on the s ame PC without them conflicting

    • You can without any issues. I’ve done that. But it was not worth keeping two password managers.

    • you most likely will have issues syncing between them (if that's your goal)

      • nah i want to keep them separate. maybe 1pass + last pass could be easier

    • yeah I was going to write about this new feature in the original description, but saw at last moment that it isn't available outside of the US:

At the moment, Privacy.com is limited to users in the United States. So for now, you’ll need to be in the States to use this integration. We won’t put words in Privacy’s mouth, but do keep an eye out for announcements about new countries.

  • Cant seem to get the offer price as when I sign up, it says:

On November 4, 2020, you’ll be charged for the year at $2.99/month. This price excludes a 25% discount that lasts until October 5, 2021.
