No harm in trying cashback also via your favorite partners, although the coupons aren't listed so they might not pay out.

Note: I noticed the S2721DGF 2.3 rating via the dell website. A majority of low ratings are due to shipping delays. The initial deal was due to 2 coupons which weren't meant to stack, Dell chose to honour this but it caused shipping delays. Please update and/or leave accurate reviews via the Dell site pertaining to the product quality and your experience using it.

I'll do my best to answer any questions via comments. Enjoy :D

    • You guys will get the monitors from this deal likely dispatched 15th Oct and received before Nov.

The LIMAAA350OCT coupon expired while I was checking out, got to the payment screen and the price was back to $800 so I noped the (profanity) out…

    • +3

Sorry to hear, will be back late oct, don't stress!

  • +1

Was able to get one just in time, thanks OP

  • +1

why does this have terrible ratings on the site?

    • +6

due to salty customers, getting delayed shipments.

  • I got one, but it was $550, not $510 like in the description. Was this the same for anyone else?

    • +5

you need to apply both super7 + lima coupon. Contact dell to apply the super7 coupon to your order after the fact!

      • +2

btw im curious how come you get to negotiate these deals with dell? are you like an employee or friend of employee?

        • +2

Anybody can negotiate a coupon with any company. No different from negotiating a discount on a car, or a discount at JB hi-fi. You just need to know your prices. And ozbargainers will do the rest and buy wholesale volumes in an hour.

          • @imcold: well it is much harder to negotiate with top tech companies like dell as an individual, if you're not affiliated with them.. and I thought dell would have strict pricing guidelines

            • @skido: If you order more than 5 units you already need to call sales to make a purchase at a pricing plan

        • +6

Long story short I actually run some gaming communities with a couple thousand members. I spread these deals across those and ozb. So I am not an employee but more so helping Dell move a large quantity of products at deal prices. Similar to what Groupon does, one could argue why a company would slash prices and sell a product for marginal profit, but if you're moving thousands of units a month, any profit is good profit.

      • +1

        Thank you :)

      • +1

I contacted Dell and they refunded me $38.43 for the missing discount.
Thanks for your help and posting the deal!

        • +1

          Awesome to hear.

    • +2

I didn't buy one but I tested the codes:

      $510.57 for me.

    • +1

Pretty much everyone including me got it for $510.57

  • RIP missed out on this again

  • +1

LiMaaa you're a champ. I opted not to get this but I hope many others did. If and when something 38" or 43" comes along you can be sure there are enough of us wanting one so… Maybe Dell is listening ;)

    • waits patiently for 38" of ultrawide glory

Welcome to 2020.. the year of the hoarder.

    • +1

I mean 2 is normal if you're running a dual setup and want premium. I'd be disgruntled at those ordering 4 or more and reselling, but Dell is trying to make sure you all get a fair go by releasing constant deals with limited quantity. So that's good.

      • correct, tho it is quite limited unites, and I an already seeing pp selling it on FB marketplace so there is some who take the advantage of that offer and effect other pp.

Thank you so much tho for your efforts!

        • +4

The next deals will have limited quantity per account. Dell has noticed excessive units per account.

          • +1

@LiMaaa: YES FINALY! That is what I mean! thank you so much mate you are amazing!

  • +1

My estimated delivery date is the 5th of October. So excited to upgrade from my old 1080p 60Hz TN that has a sticker that reads "certified for Windows Vista"

    • Oct 7 for mine. It's a race between this and my Techfast PC - taking bets on who wins :D

    • wtf mine is jan!

      • The Jan delivery estimates are likely incorrect, you should expect to receive by Oct 15th, if you don't hit me up and I'll get it sorted.

        • +1

i am the biggest idiot, i read it has 10th of jan, but its the 1st of oct…
          thanks brother.

  • +8

The OzBargain-official product lineup now becomes

    1) Eneloops
    2) Sony XM3's
    3) Dell S2721DGF

    Great work LiMaaa
Hopefully I'll get the opportunity next month … missed out again

Wonder how long it usually takes to move 500 of these monitors (7 minutes was impressive)
Just goes to show when sellers meet the market they can shift a lot of stock.

    • Where's the Xiaomi Ultrawide?

  • +1

Thanks LiMaaa, I managed to get one, very happy camper! :-)

  • +1

In case others are running into the same thing, this monitor may have issues when running as a primary in a triple monitor setup

    • Care to elaborate?

      • +1

        https://www.reddit.com/r/Monitors/comments/ilbs73/dell_s2721...

It is fine if you are running this monitor solo or dual, but once you hit triples it starts flickering

      • +1

Bugger, I plan on running this between two Dell S2721D. This is likely a GPU issue, the monitor doesn't actually know if two other monitors are connected, thus the firmware of the monitor are unlikely to blame.
If it was in the monitor firmware it would more likely be an issue regardless how many monitors are connected.
Much more likely it's an issue with G-sync implementation in the monitor, but my GPU is AMD, so expecting no issues.

  • +1

Damn i'm glad I was in on the original deal I wouldnt have made it in 6mins…..

To all those that ordered these monitors are awesome for the price you are paying

  • Made it! Got one now~. I dont need 2 or 3 monitors like some other people with their builds. 1 is enough for me.

    • +2

2 is very useful for everything

      • 2 x 144hz ips gaming monitors is useful for everything??

        • 2 monitors in general was the assumption

        • 2 for gaming…not so much….but 3 on the other hand…. :D

  • +1

This monitor has it all, anyone know if it could use ULMB (backlight strobing) given its G-SYNC compatibility?

  • +7

Arrives by: 5/10/2020… Very chuffed with this!! Thanks again OP.

Half tempted to set you up a go fund me.. if everyone who got one gave you a cheeky $5 you'd be set for drinks for the next couple of months

    • +17

Haha, naw it's okay. I've always wanted to work for Dell as I have experience running ebay stores, online business and negotiation. Let's hope they reward me with a gig during covid. Lost my IT job due to the pandemic, but financially I'm fine. Thank you though.

    • +2

      Count me in. Well deserved.

  • +1

    Got one, thanks OP.

  • +1

    Got one cheers.

  • +4

Just received email from Cashrewards - Your cash is on its way! AUD 13.92

    Brings it below $500 :)

    • Awesome.

    • +2

Got it also, but that doesn't mean it will be eligible.

    • Nice. I clicked through CR and didn't get such an email. Hope it comes through for you!

    • yeah it wont count =(

  • When the last eBay deal was active, I cancelled my order and went for two S2721Q. As a casual gamer, I thought that would be a better deal, especially when one can expect 3070 to handle 4K 60Hz.

  • +1

    I can vouch.
    This monitor is great.
I have little to no experience with monitors
Out of the box the colours were great. No backlight bleed that I noticed. A little colour uniformity issue along the very edge but didn't bother me too much

    • I bought it too and having set it up, does it look darker toward the left and right edges??

      • No, mine has no bleed or shadowing, give it a week or so, sometimes these monitors need to warm up and level out.

      • +1

When testing the monitor. A single colour across the whole screen it was slightly darker on the left and right edges. In saying that the test said to have the monitor on for st least 30 minutes and I had it on for 5 minutes before testing

  • I'm currently using a temporary rx570 gpu, what upcoming/current card would be best for this monitor?

    • +2

An RTX 3070 will handle this great with any AAA games

    • +1

      What obFla said.

  • +1

Thanks OP! I managed to grab one :) Thanks for organising the deal!

  • +1

Oh boy that really sucks. Go pick the kids up and organise dinner. Deal done and gone. Does that mean the rumoured Mid/Late October deal is gone along with this?

    • I'm pretty sure LiMaaa said that would be a seperate deal

      • Well lets hope so.

    • Late Oct deal is confirmed. Have the kids in bed @ 5pm haha.

  • OK - I know it's the quick and the dead but how the heck do I get notified of the next deal for this monitor. I've missed out (yet again)

    • If you find out let me know. I would be happy to just pay $600 now.

    • +2

Search for anything you want, then click CREATE ALERT. You will be alerted by notification or email when a deal has come up.

    • +1

Subscribe to me, when I post a deal you'll be notified.

      • Ok I have done that. Lets just hope I happen to be looking at ozbargain when you post. :P

  • Hi OP,
Is there any upcoming deals on the XPX laptops. Looking to get one.

    Thanks

  • +1

@LiMaaa you made my day thanks

  • +1

Bought one last time the deal rolled in, was only delivered this week. Took ages but didn't mind, it's an amazing monitor. Colours pop, great gaming experience. A++

  • +1

Bloody hell you guys are quick, though I wasn't mashing F5 I think I must have tried to apply the coupon the second it sold out.

Back to stalking LiMaaa's profile patiently waiting I guess…

    • +3

:o .. They lasted a good 7 mins, I think you better hand in your Ozbargain card!, you're not worthy!, lol.. (jk)

    • +1

Had them in my cart already, pasted code, checked out with paypal. Took about 30seconds.

    • +1

Subscribe to me. I'll be attempting to post deals a couple hours early like this one so everyone has a chance to be notified. Then update coupons when it goes live.

    • That is a shame, I was able to order around 5.05 pm, took some time because I was using the wrong coupon.

  • +1

me right now: mussssst ressssisssttt for the 34" ultrawiddddddddde

    • should of just get this + xiaomi, under 1k total.

      • Gonna wait patiently for the LG ultrawides to return to stock. I'm not settling for 2nd best.

  • +1

Ordered one … but got no order number assigned yet (still processing). Hope I still get one.

    • Looks like it did not work out for me … see funny sales chat below. Sorry Dell … this was not a great sales experience.
I put it to in the 2020 folder. This year just sucks.
