No harm in trying cashback also via your favorite partners, although the coupons aren't listed so they might not pay out.

Note: I noticed the S2721DGF 2.3 rating via the dell website. A majority of low ratings are due to shipping delays. The initial deal was due to 2 coupons which weren't meant to stack, Dell chose to honour this but it caused shipping delays. Please update and/or leave accurate reviews via the Dell site pertaining to the product quality and your experience using it.

I'll do my best to answer any questions via comments. Enjoy :D

It's back! So glad I waited. Thanks OP!

    • +4

No, I'm glad you waited ^^

      • +1

I was so disappointed last year when I didn't get one as I was a little tight with money, and the price just kept going up and up this year… thank god my wallet is ready this year! Got a full PC upgrade coming this year from 1080p 60hz gaming (and struggling) to what im hoping is 144+ 1440p!! now ill have the screen to do it, LETS GO!!
(assuming I can get one lol..)

        • +1

I'm doing the same 144fps on 144hz IPS 2k monitor with 3070. Should be smooth.

      • +1

Great rep. I am waiting great deal for dual 32" 4K. Thanks

  • +2

    This will be epic

  • The reviews on dell.com give it 2.3 with 73 reviews. That doesn't seem very positive.

    • +23

As mentioned in my post, those reviews are almost entirely reflected due to shipping delays. I own a couple of the DGF and they are beautiful monitors with amazing build quality.

      • +19

It didn't help that Dell sent two emails to customers inviting them to review the monitor before it had even shipped. That's just asking for bad feedback.

      • +6

100% - inserting the stand into the monitor is the coolest thing ever. Won't spoil the experience to describe more

        • +4

Dude I got to experience that myself just an hour ago haha it's pretty darn good foresight and design.

        • Can you spoil it for me? Mine went straight onto vesa mounts so i never put the stands on

          • +2

@redfox1200: Nope! You'll see when you get it. Use it to take it out the box cause theres just a button that releases it free of the stand. Really cool and easy.

          • @redfox1200: lol mine went straight to VESA mount too ^o^

    • +1

Plenty of low ratings off the last deal selling way more units than they had stock, and pretty bad delays getting more.

It's a pretty damn decent monitor, and for the price, certainly worth it. I had to wait over a month and a half for my 3, and I am quite satisfied personally.

    • +5

I'd be willing to bet that the majority of those 1 star reviews are due to the delays from the first deal. I received mine a week ago after ordering in early August and the panel is excellent, particularly for $500.

    • +2

      Probably because of shipping delays

    • +3

I got mine. It's pretty great. Rtings have it slightly ahead of the LG GL850: https://www.rtings.com/monitor/tools/compare/lg-27gl850-vs-d…

    • -1

I have got 2 and they are both kidna dud. still dealing with their support

      • Pm me your order number and issues you're facing please? Dell has a very good panel guarantee exchange program.

  • +4

here we go. Thanks for getting this organised LiMaa :)

    • Glad to help.

  • -8

    Coupon invalid it says

    • +6

      Starts at 5pm.

    • To Be Announced not yet live :)

    • +15

Yeah you missed out. Better luck next time.

    • What coupon did you try anyway? “TBA” ?

      • +2

        No, "TBA" and "TBA".

    • +4

      reading skills invalid

  • Will the other deal towards the end of Oct have a similar/same price?

    • +2

Can never be certain on price, but the short answer is yes!

      • Thanks OP! :)

      • OP can you do a deal for the U4919DW ?

  • +2

In the last deal it was mentioned cashback was honoured with the coupon codes. Wonder if it will be the same this time round with either Cashrewards or Shopback?

    • +1

Have updated post to reflect this. You can try, but it's up to cashrewards and shopback if they choose to honour cashback!

    • FWIW, unless they publicly post the code on their site, they won't honour it.

  • Thanks OP! Any idea when the deal will go live?

    • +3

5pm, updated post to reflect this!

      • LiMaa, there was a Dell U3219Q offered earlier this year for a price of $1,064.97 - would it be possible to get close to this price again? I deeply regret not buying the monitor at this price two months ago, and have been religiously checking the website to find a similar deal.

        https://i.imgur.com/YFgHIcP.png

      • Limaaaa, can you please advise if we need to enter TBA code twice? I need to get one, thanks

        • I see you fellow techfast buyer

        • +6

TBA is simply the placeholder until the real codes are posted at 5pm. As stated above you need to use both the codes to get it at this price.

        • LOL good one

      • I second the U3219Q deal request as I would also pick one of these up for that price.

      • I third the U3219Q deal to be back. Would be great if Dell can have another one in Oct.

  • +3

Great monitor. Colors pop. Reflections are minimal to none. No dead pixels. Worked great with current Xbox One X

    • +1

      Got mine yesterday. Can confirm!

  • +4

Thank you for your effort in negotiating all these deals for us, it's great to see how competitive Dell is being :)

    • +4

I agree, yes shipping delays have occurred, but I'll take shipping delays > a company not honouring a deal because it will cause them a headache. Dell has been super accommodating.

  • +12

Great deal but is there any chance of getting the 4k S2721Q again at the $320 eBay price?

    • +1

I responded below somewhere about other monitors. Dell is working their butts off to give us what we want, give it time.

  • Thanks OP, so tempting to get another one!

    • +1

      After I received mine I contemplated, but I don't need a 3rd.

  • this or the u2720q ?

  • Is this good for the price? I've seen a Xiaomi monitor go off the charts here before.

    • +6

Do as your name suggests haha ^^ but yes personally this was a ripper deal and I'm happy with my purchase!

  • +2

Rtings has a review of it, https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/dell/s2721dgf
Very good monitor at a very good price, worth calibrating after getting it though. Has a vesa mount as well if you don't like the stand.
Edit: according to the review it has HDR10 but according to dell's website only HDR 400, bit confused on that aspect if someone can clarify.

    • +2

I would stick with dell specs and information: "Uncompromised clarity: The Dell 27 Gaming Monitor is VESA DisplayHDR™ 400-certifed, allowing you to see more detail and colour than an SDR display."

    • +1

It's HDR400 which is the lowest tier HDR (and a bit controversial as it's not that much brighter than non-HDR certified panels)

  • +1

    Subbing!

  • -1

Is there hdr / 1440p 27” / 144hz / feee sync or gsync monitor from Dell?

Looking for something that sits side by side with another 27” monitor

    • +6

      uhh, this one?

      • -1

ah saw it in website description. Cool.

  • +8

Awaiting for the S2721DS to pop up again :D

    • +1

      me 2!

  • Anyone buying for PS5/XSX or waiting on a HDMI 2.1 monitor? Any experience from current gen gamers would be appreciated!

    • Ive pre-orded the XSX and am waiting for ASUS to release the 2.1 HDMI monitors that come in 27inc, 32in and 43in.

    • +1

yeah its great with Xbox one x running 1440p 120hz -

unsure if the next gen will run variable like the Xbox x currently does - but i hear ps4 pro does 1080p >.< and hoping ps5 comes to the party

    • +1

Nobody knows if PS5 will support 1440p monitors, its not listed in the spec only 1080p,4k & 8k output so it may be unlikely.
Only XSX is confirmed as supporting 1440p monitors.
A way around it would be to select 4k output on PS5 and send the 4k signal to your 1440p monitor which is known as Supersampling.
HDMI 2.1 is irrelevant as no AAA console game will run at 4k 120fps.

  • +2

    Hey LiMaaa,
Any chance of the basic S2421HN coming back sometime soon?
I regret not buying one when the were only $159.20.
    This deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/565983

    • +1

I'll see what I can do.

      • That would be awesome, if possible.
        Thanks

  • +2

Nice!! Dell - monitor & service award of the year

  • +1

I cant decide whether to get this or stick with my 100hz acer predator x34 ultrawide, the upgrade to 165 hz would be amazing but so is ultrawide ahah i cant choose! I mainly play games tho and use for study

    • I have a X34 and an XB271HU.

XB271HU for fast paced, X34 because ultrawide, both enjoyable for different reasons, I use the X34 as my primary because it seems cooler..

  • +14

Any deals on the S2721D? (75hz model)

    • +2

As mentioned in my comment addressing multiple monitor requests, that is confirmed coming back soon. :)

  • I received mine a few days ago from the epic deal back in August. It's a great screen. The HDR is rubbish (i.e. worse than leaving HDR off IMO), but that's to be expected with HDR400. My only other complaint is the dumb button placement on the back of the screen and the terrible Dell software suite for adjusting the monitor (you basically have to use the buttons on the back of the screen if you want to get the colours right), but this is a small price to pay for a terrific panel.

Edit: One other thing to note, it runs a bit hot. I can feel the glow on my face as I write this - not too bad in dreary Melbourne atm but might be an issue in summer. This is my first high refresh rate monitor so not sure if this a problem specific to this model or all monitors in this class.

    • +1

Believe me the buttons may seem dumb but coming from an earlier Dell 27 IPS that has the touch buttons I will never complain about button placements if they are physical buttons.

Thoughts on this monitor vs S3220DGF?

I have pre-ordered the 32" but I can buy this and cancel as it has not shipped yet. I am still undecided. I also bought 2xS2721D as side monitors for reference. Maybe mounting 3x27s is the best way to go…

    • +1

Personally same size across board works for me, I'm fussy when things don't align in size.

      • +1

awesome just got one. thank you!

  • +5

Any chance for a deal on the S3220DGF OP? :)

  • +1

    YES!!!!

  • +3

OP can you do a deal for the U4919DW ?

    • +3

This.. if there was ever a sale on this I would be all over it!

    • The $1280 price was a pricing display error on their website. You couldn't actually checkout at that price but it was very good for Dell to honour the price through their support channels.

    • +1

I really doubt that. Already Dell doesn't offer many if any deals on U and P series monitors and that was a pricing error.

    • I missed the chance of buying it a few weeks ago as it came out with a double promotion code to $1500. Not as good as 1280, but still a very good price.

  • -5

I much rather the Benq Lineup! My Benq last for 10+ years too!

  • +1

s2721d, s2721Q,s2721DGF, too many options. too many deals. which one should i choose.thanks op

    • +2

s2721d for secondary or gaming / work.
s2721Q for secondary or work if you really want 4k and need the screen real estate.
s2721DGF for enthusiast gaming on next gen consoles or pairing with nvidia 30 series gpu for an immersive experience.

      These are just my opinions.

      • Hi Limaaa, any chance on a deal for the s2721Q soon? Cheers
