Hey guys, have organised a deal on the S2721DGF with Dell. This will be via the Dell website and coupons are good for 500 units. This is a measure to control amount of orders so you can get your monitors in a timely manner and avoid extensive delays. If you miss out there will be another deal toward end of oct.

          Same. Makes me wonder if I'm using this site properly. I get limited usefulness from ozbargain.

          Basically all I ever get to actually use is the game store freebie notifications in the daily email, and eBay discount codes. I've seen there's a specific page for eBay deals and codes.

          Perhaps there's some sort of notification I could set for keywords or brands like ”monitor” or ”Asus” that I'll look into. The daily email deals other than above are almost always expired for me. Would welcome any suggestions. Cheers.

      I just had the worst customer care experience. My order went through but I did not get a confirmation and the paypal payment (even with balance in the account) is just pending.
      Looks like I did not get it. Not even sure if I still want it after that experience.

        I wouldn't care about OzBargain if I was in their position. Wait to speak to customer care like they said. What's the point of hassling this guy- he can't help you like he said. Your PayPal balance wasn't deducted so you wouldn't have lost anything if your order didn't go through.

          I think I just have a different understanding of customer service. The person in the chat lied to me by that this monitor was never sold at this price. He said my paypal payment was not $510.57 (I sent him the screenshot with the pending payment in my paypal account). Do I need to accept this? Am I just a stupid customer who has no idea about the deal? Am I asking too much when I expect some better customer service? When there is no one there to help at that moment he could take my details and say that he gives it to the right department to sort it out.

          For me this was just a bad sales experience. When I would be in their position I would care about every customer!

    I was wondering whether anyone could provide some recommendations on how to score good deals on docks such as the WD19TB (https://www.dell.com/en-au/work/shop/dell-thunderbolt-dock-w…). I want to get something relatively future-proofed such as the WD19TB at an OzBargain worthy price (whatever that may be). I'm prepared to take advantage of a deal for refurbished docks if necessary, but I would appreciate some insight from people who have scored some good deals on docks.

    Any recommendations other than Dell's range would also be appreciated. I currently use a Dell XPS 13 9360, a S2721DGF monitor and I also want to add the S2721D to my collection.

      they're pretty expensive, cheapest I've seen is about $375 for them, and yeah if you have a dell laptop, a dell dock is the best option since you can turn on your computer from the dock

        This has the same panel at a fraction of the price on deal, so if you can nab this on a deal, then yes this is a superior monitor at $250 less give or take.

    Can anyone tell me what are the benefits of having 2 identical 2k 144hz monitor ? I ordered 2 today but my friend said it’s a waste to have 2 identical monitors, should choose a 2k 144hz and another 4K 60. Would be interest to hear some opinions from others who ordered 2

      But seriously I guess it depends if you are using the monitors independently or as a 'wide screen' display.
      If you're putting the monitors edge to edge, it's best to have identical monitors for a continuous display.

      I got 0 today but the benefit i would say would be that 144 hz is pleasing to the eye even if you're not gaming and just scrolling. Usually if you're gaming you'd be focused on only 1 monitor though so that's probably why 4k60 would be better for one

      Later down the line you might decide to add a third S2721DGF, opt for NVIDIA surround, throw in an RTX3080 and enjoy a massive 7680x1440 panorama @ 144Hz in games. That would even beat Samsung Odyssey 49" in some respects.

      Unless you plan on using gaming on both, which won't work for most games you are better off getting a good cheaper model for the lesser used one, such as the S2721D

      yeah, I think there's no benefit to having 2 144hz monitor, you either go 3 144hz so you can play sim games or just get a 144hz and 1/2 4k monitors

      In the monitor setting for Windows you can actually set the monitor to 60Mhz, 120Mhz, 144Mhz or 165Mhz. You must connect the displayport for 165Mhz.

      To answer your question, yes you can have lower fps than what the monitor allows.

      Yep will work fine, that's the beauty of freesync; if you're only getting 100fps the monitor acts like a 100hz monitor. If you're getting 80fps you're monitor is 80hz. Perfectly in sync meaning no tearing or stutters.

    Bit of an impulse buy for me but I'm wondering if this is overkill for work from home use with very light occasional gaming? Curious if I'd be better off selling it and getting the S2721D which is less than half the price on sale. The only real requirement I want is QHD and I'm unsure that the high refresh would be beneficial for office work.

    Bought one on the previous deal. Very happy with my purchase. I was gunning for 27G2 from AOC, but decided to open the purse on this one instead. Couldn't have been a better outcome!

    Anyway Limaaa, awesome job. You don't have to answer if you don't wan't/can't, but just curious why is this monitor being put on consecutive sales? Are you guys just clearing stock or? Especially for new monitor like this, a bit early to be putting them into fire sales right away…

    Not complaining, but just the curious nature in me… please accept my apologies for my skeptical nature lol

      It's okay. It's simply because there is a big market gap for competitively priced 2k 27" ips gaming monitors. First deal was released, Dell got great feedback and interest and I have urged them to provide more deals. I think it's as much about selling product as it is about offering a good service and meeting customer needs and expectation. They are building a good rapore amongst their customer base.

      I assure you they are not clearing stock haha, they are manufacturing these on demand at this point to fulfil customer orders and trying to be fair and make sure everyone has a chance at getting one. Which is great to see.

    Mine says it has been shipped today.

    Startrack saying it will be delivered tomorrow. I was expecting this to come late october so im pleasantly surprised. See how we go.

    Some answers for anyone wondering.

    1. Those who contacted me regarding issues with orders, feedback has been provided and issues resolved.

    2. Those who were wondering if they can use Dell advantage coupons with their order, yes If it was applied at checkout it will count. Coupons can't be applied after the fact and price adjustments can't be made to utilise coupons after checkout.

    3. Some users will get their monitors faster, shipping times indicated the latest you'll receive your order 25 Oct being the latest anyone should get their monitor..
