[Price Error] Kingston HyperX Fury 64GB (2x32GB) DDR4 3200MHz CL16 $201.60 + Delivery @ Device Deal

1381

HyperX HX432C16FB3K2/64 Fury 64GB 3200Mhz DDR4

Probably the first time I've seen 64GB of RAM for ~$200

Seems like a solid kit for anyone who wants to upgrade. Don't know why you would need 64GB of RAM, but still might help someone.

Here's a data sheet from Kingston for anyone who wants more details on the specs

Edit: Most other retailers have it for over $450

Mod: Price Error. Moved to forums.

I would say its a price error but maybe worth a shot… anybody got any experience with DeviceDeals? How quick are they refunding?

    • Never even heard of this people are their office is 10mins from me.

I would say price error. There search tool didnt even show 2x32gb as a search option. I would say most likely they have the 32gb kit and incorrectly listed it.

      But lets wait and see.

VMs. Rather than a noisy server I run my SQL and other stuff off a beefed up PC.

    • +3

Yeh Ive got 128 and often run out. Processing photogrammetry and point cloud data is extremely resource hungry

      • +1

I wish I could say I needed my 32Gb of RAM for photogrammementry.
In truth, it's because Chrome wouldn't open any more new tabs & FF told me to (profanity) off and maybe abuse the laptop for a change.

  • Deal and a half

  • Thanks OP…. Got one!

  • +1

Can anyone share their experience with this seller? It's so tempting though I would like RGB

  • Is this Hynix C-die?

    • I googled the model number and found a this thread on an overclockers forum

      https://www.overclockers.com/forums/showthread.php/732290-Wo…

If you Ctrl+F the model number, it links to a review that says it is Micron B-die. Isn't that really good, or was it Samsung B-Die that was good and Micron E-die that was also good but slightly less so? (based on reading comments in other RAM deal threads lol).
      Model number is HX432C16FB3K2

      https://www.funkykit.com/reviews/memory/hyperx-fury-64gb-ddr…

    • Nope, the CJR you're talkimg about is an 8Gb IC, which means 16GB per stick max typically. These are using 16Gb ICs probably 16Gb Micron Rev B as mentioned by others. 16Gb Rev B acts similarly to 8Gb Rev E: loose tRCD and tRFC, can do high frequency, etc.

    Cheers OP.

    I'm guessing… 3 hours for cancellation.

    • +3

Order cancelled. Can't say it was 3 hours exactly, but pretty damn close.

  • +1

    Hope it will be honoured.

  • +3

Pricing mistake for sure. That's the price of a single chip.

  • -1

I can afford 128GB of RAM for my next build… yum…

  • Wow !!

At first I thought this was just a 16GB kit, which is quite common these days, then I saw the 64GB !

    Definitely a pricing error

  • 404

  • 404 LOL

    • Haha got my order in about 1 min ago. Bet it'll be cancelled though. Cant imagine a store like this being able to take the hit.

  • I got an order in. Lets see if it is honoured.

    Fingers crossed!

    Buy now, think later.

  • +1

Thanks OP, got one for my B550I Aorus pro AM4, have to buy cpu now (waiting for prices to drop)

  • Got an order in just before the 404, now the wait to see if it will be honored or refunded

    • Order got canceled :(

  • if this was RGB i'd get it in a heartbeat… lol

  • I have got 2 of this and a 1200W power from OZ. What other parts should I get for a computer running?

    • +15

I'd recommend an imagination, to go with the imaginary RAM which won't arrive.

    • Motherboard, CPU, SSD, GPU, case, peripherals

  • +4

Its a Price Error, Friend of mine works there and I just asked him. Most likely refunded dosh.

    • +1

That sounds about right. RAM price is droping but not that fast I suppose

    • +2

Can confirm, my friend's dad works at nintendo. He said the same thing

My order status says : Backorder Approved, not sure what does that mean. Wait and see I guess..

    • +4

I think it means its on backorder and its approved

  • $ 201.60 AUD
    Sold Out

  • Mine says on hold

  • +2

    Mine says "Order Cancelled"

    • Same. was worth the punt

      • yep mines says cancelled too.

    • Yep, mine too.

  • Thats a pretty good price, about half what I paid (though slightly different modules) - most likely price error but excellent if they honour the deal.

  • +4

you all just ordered a cancellation email

    • Same :(

    • +2

You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. I got the Crucial P1 1tb nvme for $94, price error but honored. Rolling the dice on this one too

      • +2

not wrong, but I had a price error cancellation party with Device Deal in the past, so pretty certain will happen here

  • +5

Some poor sod at device deal got fired today lol

I will never understand the current hype with RAM. I remember in the old days ram was upgrade from heaven but not anymore.

    • +1

If you're an After Effects user RAM can decide whether the software is usable or not

    • +2

      Obviously not a Chrome user.

  • Yes. You can have applications that require a lot of RAM. But the market demand and hype around RAM as well as the features (ie RGB, fancy aesthetics) don't really have me believe the entire market is using AE.

    • +2

Some people don't care about PC aesthetics, they'll shove their computer under the desk, no TG side panel. Clearly RGB RAM is not for them.
I love PCs, I have my case on the desk next to me with a TG side panel, very light on the RGB (not on the RAM) and I like it to look neat. Abit of a showcase.
My car on the other hand, couldn't give a stuff, it's a utility to get me to point A to point B. Other people like to pimp their cars up, I don't.
Whatever you're into, everyone is different. Don't like RGB on your RAM? Then buy the variant without lighting. There is a market for it, it's fancy some are into it, others aren't.

Yep… that's me.. its just a computer. Nobody is going to see it so why bother :)

"Don't know why you would need 64GB of RAM,"

I remember installing 64Mb of RAM, back in the days when 8Mb to 16Mb was standard, and it was like my PC suddenly had unlimited lung capacity. Probably due to Windows using swapfiles on slow, old HDDs back then, but that convinced me you can never have too much RAM.

    • +1

      Heck, I remember why I bought a Atari 1040STE over a 520STE!

Not to mention adding a 286 processor expansion board, an extra 1 MB plus 20mb Hard drive.

Amazing all the things back then restricted by hardware limitations and price.

I used to sell Amstrad PC's, and so often a customer that bought one off another salesperson would ring up wanting to know why there was only 16mb on the C drive.

  • My order was refunded and for some reason this has triggered me to get locked out of my paypal account.

    • I'm negging this due the lack of communication from the company. Paypal was refunded without explanation or email.

      • At least you got refunded… seems many here including myself are still waiting. Agree though, no communication from Device Deal, also yet to receive any email about cancellation.

  • Has anyone been refunded yet? My order was cancelled but still waiting for refund (through PayPal). Also didn't get any cancellation email.

    • +1

Same boat here man. Noticed my order status on the site changed to cancelled, but no email or PayPal refund notification.

      • Totally same.
