I don't know, given current COVID-19 shenanigans, if they are letting people audition headphones and other equipment in their test rooms, but their in-store experience is pretty hard to beat. I've sat in there for a couple of hours at a time testing different headphones, preamps and monitors and there's never a feeling of being pressured to make a decision or to buy the most expensive option. Just great advice, fair pricing and generally good stock levels.

Ok sure, this is OzB. But we don't have to do this to a seller that has genuinely discounted a fairly new product and is trying to make some sales. I would rather try to save the $18 buying some discounted stuff at Coles/Woollies and buy from a seller that has cut its profit margins to get us a better deal.

not to mention, you can also effectively get the officeworks 'price match' price from TGG ebay if stacked with ebay gift cards at 5% off, so even if this deal didn't exist, you can still get a better price through gc's if you're a true ozb'r

I returned some ill fitting earbuds to a2a by getting Sony involved, they gave me a ticket number to quote and it was treated like a warranty return.
I don’t know if it’s the same for all retailers, but it’s such a hassle to have Sony’s earphone to be repaired. The last time I bought the XM3 from Addicted to Audio’s ebay store and needed repair, I was first told that the retail store won’t deal with any ebay purchase and I need to talk to their ebay store directly.
Then when I talked them on eBay, they told me I need to send to Sony directly for repair myself….it might not be their fault, but what a pain….
If Good Guy allow to help sending item for repair, I would buy from Good Guy everytime
Yep same thing happened to me except both Sony and the eBay seller stopped responding. Makes me reconsider if I'll buy another Sony product.
I stopped buying Sony products around 15 years ago.

Only IMO. But my guess is that sales have dropped dramatically given their main market were those who travel lots - especially air travel. With the major dip in that market, I reckon they've been hit pretty hard as a result as well. Given they're not exactly workout or gaming headphones - they're not able to command that market either.
I was going to get them, then realised I won't be on a plane until at least late 2021, at which point, a new variant of either the Sony's or Bose (or both) would be out. So I've held off myself - and I know many others who have done the same. That's probably why they're trying to entice buyers with lower prices and profit margins.
I think it's because Airpods Studio are around the corner and they're trying to get ahead of the curve
