OPTI20OPTI

This deal is for Opticomm Fibre serviceable areas only and NOT valid for nbn areas
If you dont know who and what Opticomm is, probably this deal wont work for you!

For Opticomm Fibre customers, Uniti Wireless (rebranded Fuzenet offerings which Uniti also acquired last year) which now owns Opticomm has a great deal on the 100/40 and 50/20 Unlimited Plans for 79.95 and 69.95 per month. This are way cheaper than competing offerings. Also Uniti do support over provisioning now and I am getting 105/38 Mbps on speedtests on my 100/40 plan.

100/40 Unlimited Plan for $79.95 per month, save $20 a month for 12 months
1st month Free on a 12 months contract
Free Activation on 12 Months contract - Opticomm ISPs usually charge a $70 odd activation fee
Free Netcomm NF18MESH router with no delivery charges , Usually $150 outright with ABB and other providers - https://www.mwave.com.au/product/netcomm-nf18-cloudmesh-mesh…
Cancellation Fees on a 12M Contract is only $100 so worth it to get the free month, free activation and free modem.

Similarly the 50/20 Unlimited Plan for $69.95 per month, save $10 a month for 12 months with the code OPTI

  • Does this include porting of existing VOIP number say from ABB?

    • Yep they can port existing VOIP, but I think there is a $15 one time fee for that. The VOIP plans look very competitive as well.

The code went through with no problem. What should I do then? Should I cancel my existing plan immediately?

    • +1

You should ask them to enable the new connection on Lan 2 of your ONT. Then you won't have any down time.

      • Good idea! Thanks!

      • +1

Did you do this? I don't see anywhere to leave a comment to make this request

        • Yes, I did this when moving from iiNet to Leaptel. I just requested it outside of the signup process.

      • Sorry just clarifying as I am unsure as well.
After sign up do we call Uniti Wireless to ask them to enable new connection on Lan2?
And then call and cancel the existing ISP plan immediately with probably some notice period to serve?

        • +1

I assume call them up once the order is placed, then when you confirm the uniti connection is working (maybe wait till you have the new router), then call up your current RSP and cancel the connection.

You may have a couple days additional / cross over charge though but with 1month free, you shouldn't be any worse off.

    • Codes does not work for me either…how did you get it to work

      • I chose the $99 plan and filled in the code. Did you choose another plan by accident?

        • I chose the $99 as well, tried both codes, not working…
only code works is the one the website provided "GET20OFF"

          I am in QLD

          • @jobargain: I'm in NSW so it might not work in QLD.

            • @HDer: tried using a NSW address, didn't work either…

              • @jobargain: Its an Opticomm Fibre only offer ! Wont work on nbn

  • Offer may only apply to specific states - not working in VIC for me..

    • Are you in an Opticomm fibre area or trying to get this to work with an nbn service area ?

  • I have been with ABB since I moved into a FTTP home, and been using the NBN modem plus my own router….do I really need the company supplied modem?? I am a bit confused

    • You don't

  • Code seems to have changed:
    GET20OFF for the $20 off 100/40 plan
    GET10OFF for the $10 off 50/20 plan

    • +1

Those codes don't get you the free modem.

  • +5

I think a lot of the people complaining the code doesn't work don't realise it's only for the Opticomm network.

This does not work if you are on the NBN network.

  • On the FTTP NBN and it's showing the $79.95 Monthly Cost for the 100Mbps plan using GET20OFF but no free modem (neither on 12 nor 24 month plans).

If any reps can make router free, would definitely jump on board.

    • using the wrong code, try OPTI20

      • That's for their own network and doesn't work for NBN.

        • Oh yeah sorry my bad, didn't read the NBN part

  • Just signed up for new Connection. Its a good deal 100mbps and Router is free too.

    • Which codes did you use? And which state?
It's not giving me the free router.

      • Are you in an Opticomm Fibre area ?

  • in vic and the deal (opti20) works for me.

Though tossing up if I should move over from leaptel. Does anyone know their actual opticomm evening (peak) speeds / is there a speed guarantee?

    • called them up and they don't have a speed guarantee

    • +1

I'm on Leaptel as well and am hesitant to move. I'm pretty happy with them.

      • +1

Speeds are better than Leaptel on the 100/40 plan. I was with leaptel before ad getting 85-90 Mbps and paying $90 a month, where this is $10 cheaper and speeds are between 95-105 Mbps. Again this is on the Opticomm Fibre network and NOT on nbn.

        • Hmmm okay thanks. You've given me something to think over.

          • @Ryanek: Yep pretty good deal considering the free month, a decent bundled MESH router and also additional $25 Referral eGift card

  • +1

Any idea how long it will take to get the new connection up and running once you sign up online and complete the payment details.

    • Happened for me within 2 hours. Call them up if you already have an active connection with another ISP currently as it will be cancelled/churned over unless you want it to be activated on a 2nd UNI-D port.

      • damn thats a pretty fast churn.
Did you get yours done on the second uni-d?

        • Nope I was churning so got Uniti active on 1st UNI-D

  • A "Typical Evening Speed 78.7Mbps" isn't great…

  • NOT AVAILABLE ON NBN should be the title :D

    • Why? Opticomm is jot nbn.

      • Clearly says Opticomm Fibre in title, most of us expecting the same code and offer to nbn as well is out of luck unfortunately.

  • Can confirm Does not work with NSW 2166 😑. $20 off on NBN100 and $10 off on NBN50 but no free router. I will keep waiting……😅

    • +1

It is for Opticomm Fibre and not nbn !

      • Thanks. Just found out as well

Thanks for posting this great deal! Just signed up to the deal! Have been wanting to move out from my current service provider Harbour ISP.

What's the next step for me? I believe I will have to ring my current provider tomorrow to cancel the current plan but how will I know if the new service provider (Uniti) is up and running?

Will I be able to use the current modem for the time being?

    Thanks in advance!

    • Call up Uniti and tell them you want to churn. They should be able to handle the rest.

    • I made a silly mistake by not checking if I am still on an ongoing contract with my current ISP. Contacted them to cancel it and only to find out I still have 6 months contract remains with them and to cease the contract now it will cost me $350.

I then ring up Uniti and the sales rep Joshua has been very helpful and advised that I can change my start day to when my contract with my current ISP ends. He also confirmed that I will still be eligible for this plan and told me to keep my modem aside as it has been sent out today and ring them up when my contract ends if I come across any issue connecting to the new service!

  • Thanks, exactly what I wanted.
I was looking for a modem as my current one is playing up. Luckily I landed on this post.
Getting a free modem +1month+good price, nothing to lose even with $100 cancellation I guess.

Ordered with activation date few days before end of my current billing period and asked current one to be cancelled at end. Hope I won't have any downtime.
