Anybody else will waiting on their cashback from previous purchases? Mine has said "Validation Completed" since 22 September, but nothing in my bank.

    • +1

I had done a claim last time (got the 4tb Samsung 860 evo from these guys), lodged on 28th July and got the cashback on August 25th

    • +1

Takes about a month after approval to receive the money from experience

      • +3

Amazing how Samsung don't mention this and nothing came up in a Google search. Ozbargainers are the best. Thanks!

      • Same here, mine was pretty much bang on 30 days from validation last time around.

  • +3

    $119 for 1TB - nice.

  • Ordered from Futu last night with 10% off, will they do price guarantee?

    • they should, within 48h

      • they should, within 48h

        Not with eBay own promo

        https://pages.ebay.com.au/buy/Best_Price_Guarantee/#morecomp…

        • ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh?

should still give a shot on Livechat tho, might get a noob repr.

          • +1

            @capslock janitor:

should still give a shot on Livechat tho

This is from live chat 😫 must be outside retailers. Anyway bought another one from CA, too cheap to pass.

What does Best Price Guarantee cover

You are covered for the difference between the price you paid on eBay (including shipping costs), and the price of an identical product (including shipping costs) on an approved online retail website + 5% off the online retail website's price. For example, if you purchase a product for $100 on eBay and find it on a online retail website for $90, customer service will issue you a voucher for the difference in price ($10) + 5% of the online retail website's price (5% of $90 is $4.50). So the total voucher value will be $14.50.

Anyone see any PSU deals? Looking for 850w

  • How do you get $303.20 for the 2TB?

    • Flash sale starts 8pm AEDT, ends 9pm AEDT
Apply the code between this time

  • Any good for a boot drive?

    • Definitely, Evo 860 is one of the top SATA III SSDs

  • This vs MX500 2TB for $253 on Amazon UK.. hmm..

    • +1

unsure about the speed differences but this one is local AU stock with 5 year warranty

    • +1

No real world difference. I would go this for local stock though.

      • Yeah especially with the 5% Shopback which stacked, it worked out to be peanuts separating the two.

  • This or the SanDisk Extreme: Portable SSD? Plan on storing my PS4 games on it and connected to my PS5.

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/572253

    • +1

I'm about to doing same thing to my PS4.

Internal SSD with SATA interface is the best option so far. (compare to NVEM M.2 to USB3.1 adapter and M.2 SSD with SATA interface)

      Refer to this:
      https://youtu.be/56xNGPU1zTc?t=349

      • Thanks for that. Which USB to SSD adapter are you using for it?

        • I’d simply just put SSD in PS4 pro, which I just bought (1TB Samsung EVO 860)

  • Would there be much real world difference between the evo 860 2tb and the kingston A2000 nmve 1tb for gaming?

    • for gaming, no.

  • Do you need a eBay Plus sub for this?

    • yes

  • Before Jack?

  • Can you do a free trial to get this?

    • yes, as long as you're an ebay plus member

  • This works out to be $94.20 for 1tb tonight!?

    $148 original price
    10% cashback = $133.20
    $10 bonus cashback = $123.20
    $29 cashback from Samsung = $94.20

    • +3

      original price - $185.00

      20% off = $148
      5% SB cashback = $140.6
      $10 bonus SB cashback = $130.6
      $29 cashback from Samsung = $101.6

      • Haha thanks, whoops.. $101.60 is still a steal :D

      • This is the first time, I am attempting to use ShopBack/Cashrewards.
Can you help me, what should i do?

        So far I understand:
between 8 pm to 9 pm today, apply PLUSFLASH
        But, how do I get Shopback/Cashrewards? ( that 5% off + $10 bonus )

I did create an account in Cashrewards couple of weeks and have ebay+ activated just now.

        • pm me please

    • Where is $10 bonus cash back?

  • Thanks Op. Ordered the 2TB for my Xbox Series X :D Again, time to find a solid USB 3.1 USB SATA cable for it.

    • +1

Let me know how you go with the cable, looking for one myself after just grabbing one of these for the PS5 :)

  • Can you use Paypal Gifts cards and get 5% cash back and $10 bonus?

  • Darn, 2tb seems to be out of stock

  • got one, thanks

  • Bought 1TB, have to use Edge, removed ad blocker from Chrome but shopback still keep saying I have ad blocker.

  • Thanks. Got a 1 TB one.

  • 2tb out of stock already :(

    • That's weird, shows as in stock but only with 10% off at $341.10.

      • there's a glitch - you need to manually enter the code at checkout and it will work

  • all OOS

  • Just bought same one with Futuonline. There is still some in stock there if anyone still looking
    Link : https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1TB-Samsung-2-5-860-EVO-SATA-6Gb…
Same coupon works and this one requires ebay plus.

    • Yeah but for some reason Futu didn't come up from PLUSFLASH search page.

But seem can apply the code to a lot of item from Futu, like video card.

  • Anyone have tracking yet in shopback yet?

Normally with cashrewards it shows up pretty quickly.

  • Thanks, got one.

  • Anyone have a link to buy eBay GCs, using eBay Vouchers pleasa???

  • CA must have a lot of orders still waiting to ship.
    Last time very quick.

    • My SSD from yesterday has already shipped so I think it's pretty quick…

      • Also just got shipped email.

        • In my hands this morning!

          • @jace88: Sydney here I think will arrive tomorrow

            • @superforever: Yep, I'm Sydney CBD.

              • +1

@jace88: Not at home but tracking said delivered that is quick from QLD

                • @superforever: I've said it before but I really rate Computer Alliance. Their service is great, and the one time I had a DOA drive, they replaced it quickly without fuss.

                  • +1

@jace88: Yeah they are great, one time I bought a wrong motherboard and they have no problem for me to return it.

The delivery time the same as Futu from Sydney, as I remember it correctly Futu use to deliver next day but the last few times not anymore.

  • I just received my but stupid Samsung promo page got that invalid SN number error….

    • +1

Did you make sure to put the SN from the drive itself and not from the packaging?

Mine worked fine in this promotion, but the stock from CA may be too new for the SN to be recognised if you're using the one off the drive. You would need to contact Samsung Promotions to get it sorted.

      • +1

        Yes I just did : )

Need to email them and hopefully they can sort this out

        • Where did you guys email? I've been trying to find a contact number/email on their site…

          • @jace88: [email protected]

There's a live chat on the website

            • @NonSense: Got it. I emailed them since it was late at night.

              Has anyone heard back?

              • @jace88: I received an reply said this has been processed by their promotion team.

              • @jace88: I still haven't. Sent an email last Thursday, no reply, sent another yesterday, and nothing…

                • +1

@unknown: I'm also still waiting. First emailed on 16/10, followed up on 19/10…

                  • @jace88: Good to know I'm not alone lol. Can't believe how slow they are, that's some poor customer service.

                    • @unknown: More just worried we get to 31/10 and suddenly aren't eligible.

                      • +1

@jace88: Yeah I did think of that, but pretty sure that's just the purchase cut off.

Claimants must submit online redemption form by 11:59pm (AEDT) on Monday, 30 November 2020.

    • +1

Same thing here, received the invalid SN number error and let's see your reply from them

    • Same. Manufactured Jul 2020.

      • Checked mine, manufactured 2020.08

        … no wonder it's invalid.

  • +1

Same here, seems that I need to email them too :(

  • +1

hi did anyone managed to claim their cashback? mine has the invalid serial number glitch.

    • I am facing the same problem :-(

  • +1

    [email protected]
    if anyone is having problems.

    • Thanks, mate sent an email. :-)

  • Same, the one bought from Futu a few days ago no problem with claim. (May 2020)

  • I still haven't received my SSD yet :/ It hasn't even been shipped out. I bought an AORUS NVMe from them and that arrived last Thursday (15/10). Anyone experiencing the same problem?

  • +3

If anyone is having dramas redeeming their cashback due to the S/N being invalid I used the Samsung Australia Facebook page and messaged them. They replied instantly and said they had sent through my details to have the SSD S/N validated.

A little over 24hrs later (tonight) I was able to send through my cashback claim without a hitch.

    • Mine works after waiting for 4days, and seems the best channel as the email and CEO complaints has no response.

    • Did you actually hear back once they’d updated the system or did you just keep trying?

      • I received an email the following day after I’d already submitted my claim.

        • I never heard back but tried again a few times… and last night it worked. Hoorah!

  • Received email reply from Samsung and submitted OK.

Make sure when you email them attach a photo of the drive SN.

    • I got the same email but still showing as invalid.

      fail..

  • Is anyone having problem to validate serial number? I can't get it passed through first step, stuck on invalid serial number. Thanks.
