    Here for the temptation comments

  • Bought one from shopping express for 600 plus shipping. They still haven't shipped yet lol. Want to cancel and order this instead.

    • +2

You should be able to do it, just request a cancellation from customer service

      • Order was made on the 11th, no tracking yet but I assume it's already sent right? They won't get back to me by 8pm haha.

Edit: Wow that was quick, they cancelled my order within 30mins of the email. Time to get this sweet deal!

        • +1

I have the opposite experience, I ordered the 650 MSI 2070s TRIO and RAM, SSD, Mobo, PSU, CPU on 11th. And the second day morning, I told them I want to hold that order and upgrade the MSI B450 Mortar to MSI B550 gaming plus. And at 1:43 PM, was given an email with a tracking number indicating all the parts were already patched and I can only return the MOBO after receiving it.

So I can't modify my order because they did everything too fast. I was expecting two to three days before dispatch.

  • super great value, if you factor in the ssd valued at $69 its below $500!

  • I just hope we can get rtx 3080s for 1000 when stocks are ready

    • +1

I don't think you will see that price until close to EOL or a more competitive card gets released.

      • From leaks it seems AMD should have something better than rtx 3080.
Nvidia also seems to be releasing the 20 gb of 3080 version in DEC, so hopefully the prices come down(After Stock is full)

  • +2

Anyone in the know with the 2070S…what would you rank this model against others?

eg Gigabyte Windforce better/worse than say MSI Ventus, Gigabyte Gaming OC etc

    • +2

      Gaming OC>Windforce>Ventus

From a comment below, compared to Windforce: "Gaming version has RGB logo and slightly higher clock speed, and one extra year of warranty (registration required)"

The Ventus is a dual fan card so would run hotter than these.

  • +2

    must resist….

    • +1

3060 Ti, same price, 1 month.

      Did I help? :P

      • More like 600-700 at launch.

        • Feel free to remind me about this at launch!

  • -8

Anyone wanna give me their 'free' SSD? 😋

  • +2

Getting better everytime. Looks like the Galax version will be $519.20 for those not interested in the bonus SSD (assuming code applies to it and no price jacking)

    • Negative ghost rider :(

  • +4

Damn it, this pushes it below $500 which is a trigger for me. Oh the fan noise for this card is bad so I tell myself. No sale!

    • thankyou sir, you have convinced me not to buy :) MSI 2070S TRIO DEALS WHERE YOU AT!!!

    • Deshroud and strap a couple of 120mm fans to it.

      • Pretty sure he's being sarcastic to avoid purchasing it

  • pretty good value on this one!

  • Can anyone tell me the difference between this and the gaming version?

    • +4

Gaming version has RGB logo and slightly higher clock speed, and one extra year of warranty (registration required)

      • +5

You had me at RGB, cheers

  • -2

What am i doing wrong here? Sorry guys.

Add to cart, put in the promo PLUSFLASH and it's still $699

    • +4

Doesn't start til 8pm. Lol theres one of these comments in every ebay post today

      • +4

        Damn (facepalm).

        Thanks. haha.

        • Nah haha dont worry your not the first and wont be the last.

    • eBay plus member?

      • I was ages ago. Not now. Will i need to sign back up?

    • +1

Flash sale starts 8pm AEDT, ends 9pm AEDT

  • I thought my $700 for this a year ago was a good deal :( Damn you 3000x series!

  • Is there much fan or coil whine noise for this model?

  • this for this price or wait for big navi and 3070?!

    • Depend on your need, 3070 will be at least $900 at launch and the stock might be an issue consider the 3080 situation.

    • Its more a question of this or 3060. 3070 will cost more.

  • must resist and wait for big Navi and nvidia 3070 and possibility 3060TI once AMD announce their line up and Nvidia response
There is no competition now maybe things get better toward Xmas

  • at roughly what price point does the 2070super make price/performance parity to a 3000 series? (e.g. 3060/3050) is $500 the sweet spot, or does it need to go lower?

    • $500-$600 is probably what the 3060 will cost. I'd expect the 3060 to target around this level of performance, so like 2080/2070S/1080ti ish.

The 3060ti is definitely happening and will probably be close to 3070/2080 ti performance for something inbetween 3070 and 3060 price

      • +1

You've just sold this one for me.

New build and add in the 480GB SSD, this is now a < $500 card. (Plus I can use it this year)

  • I'm sorry if this is a stupid question but I opened the page and there's no reference to the bonus SSD. Anybody know if it's something which must be claimed?

  • tempted to get the gaming OC, but worried about the fan issue. https://www.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments/a5wr1e/anyone_else_…

    • also tempted, but it looks like (from what I read in that link), in order to fix the fan issue you should just change the fan curve? which is pretty simple?

      • My 1070 OC does this exact same thing haha but also the fan stopped working properly all the time now and doesn’t get detected by fan curve software :(

    • +4

      get outta here

Thank you for your ever so valuable comment

This and the Gaming OC are the only 2070 Super models to consider imo.
This in particular is the best value, since you save money over a Gaming OC and can still clock it to a stable 2040mhz. I've also undervolted mine to 931mV, so it can run even cooler (thus quieter).
The card runs so silent that the coil whine becomes somewhat audible (not high pitched or anything, just a low hum, and I have PC on desk). I'm very sensitive to fans above 1400rpm, and even I don't mind it (coil whine only occurs while playing games/under load, so technically I never hear it since I have headphones on).
Bought it last week for $620 delivered, so at $560 with a free 480gb SSD, expect these to disappear shortly after the deal goes live. It's a fantastic deal, particularly if you sell your existing gpu.

  • The Shopback 5% offer takes another ~$30 off this, so a little over $500 or well under $500 with the SSD value. That's pretty much 2060/2060S prices.

  • Lol the Windforce OC sold out in like 10 seconds.

  • Only gaming left. The windforce went within 2 mins

    • its sold out too! looooool

    • more like 25 secs lol

  • Gaming one gone at 8:03….did get one.

    • I saw there was 142 watchers on the Windforce and 96 on the Gaming, went straight for the gaming and picked it up.

      Man that was quick…

  • wow. I didnt stand a chance.
tik tok tik tok hits 8pm. OOS

  • Bullcrap
They probably had only 2 cards for sale

    • From sale record it seems they had 11 units

  • yep lol, they only had 10 of the Windforce in stock which sold out pretty much instantly, 30 of the Gaming OC

    • plenty lol, sold out instantly

      • yeah haha, edited my comment

      • Managed to snag one thankfully

      • I had a gaming one in the cart and checked out at 8:02pm and then went back to the item and it showed 3 left….refreshed twice and saw 1 left….refreshed again and sold out at 8:03pm

  • -4

Remove, Total BS, had it all ready in cart and then it didn't go through, total sham. 7pm on the dot.

  • bought the 2070 super Gaming oc, great value with the shopback cashback!

  • Managed to snag this 2070s for $511, pretty happy!

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/GALAX-NVIDIA-RTX-2070-Super-EX-G…

    • can you pls let me know what the difference is with the Super EX Gamer Black Edition and Super EX Gamer 1-Click OC ?

      • I think they are the same, just different color to match different build

        • Bit annoyed i didn't grab the white one since my build is gonna be mainly white but it was $20 extra than the black to so meh.

  • looks like the restocked the Gaming OC version just after the 20% offer ended…. dodge~

  • I had one of the Gaming OC on the cart at 8.59. Took some time to decide and didnt realise the coupon was only until 9 PM.

Missed it. Couldve gotten it for $500 net after selling the SSD and cashback

EDIT : More like the coupon was active until 9.10pm and I thought it ran until 10pm. They added one stock after 9pm. Said "last one" on the listing when I add to cart

  • the (profanity) man. i logged in at 7:45 and it was sold out already!!!!!

  • Just got my card which is great but now the SSD is fully redeemed with almost a month left in their promo……still a good deal but annoying.

    • What time did you try to redeem? I tried at 2pm today, first I able to click the redeem link, then asked to create an account first. once I completed it. the pormo page shows as "fully redeem".

    • Wow that’s disappointing, i still haven’t received mine and if there was no ssd I would have ordered the MSI gaming one which is one of the best 2070 super card, that sucks Gigabyte

    • Anyone has gigabyte contact email? We should send an complaint to them enticing people to buy the card but run out of ssd ahead of promo.

      • That really does suck. Only other thing I'd suggest is getting in contact with Computer Alliance, and hopefully they could at least offer some store credit (have a read here https://www.computeralliance.com.au/help/refund-policy). They themselves still have the SSD available https://www.computeralliance.com.au/480gb-gigabyte-2.5-sata-… Maybe just say they advertised the SSD in the listing and you wouldn't have bought the card if you couldn't get it.

        • Thanks for your advice, have sent emails to both gigabyte and computer alliance, computer alliance said I can return the item but they cannot help me with the SSD. I doubt Gigabyte will help so maybe just unlucky.

  • No more ssds…

    • Yes, in case anyone is feeling bad about missing this out, Gigabyte pulled a shitty move and claimed that the SSDs are out. Its not a bargain without that SSD.

Looking at options to either get a refund or a similar item given that the promotion was still running when i purchased it

  • Got an email saying that they have run out of SSDs and will not be honouring the promotion. My GPU has excess coil whine so I will definitely RMA. I encourage everyone else to do the same. Dick move.

    • I'm on the same boat, I even made my registration when the promo was still on that I managed to claim the SSD last week and I got this email telling me "Registration Not Approved" last night:

      Dear Customer,
Thank you for registering SUPER DEAL FOR SPRIN on AORUS website.
We're sorry to inform you that all the quantity for this project has been fully redeemed.
Please stay tuned for our latest lucky draw or redeem on our Facebook and Instagram!

OK, I'll see what Gigabyte has to explain to ACCC about their so called promo.

    • +1

If I knew they are not honoring the ssd, I would have bought the MSI 2070 super one which has much better quality for about 600 dollars, but now the promo is gone! So upset

  • +1

Once they run out of SSDs for the promotion, they should stop their resellers from advertising the promotion!

As for not having stock of bonus SSDs, they would also have an idea as to how much GPU stock resellers have during the promo period…they sold them in the first place!

Poor planning Gigabyte, and a bad look. The old bait and switch!

  • Sent both gigabyte and computer alliance email, both not honoring the SSD, so disappointing, now that I open the package, I can’t even return it

    • Could try to sell it, should be able to at least get your money back at this price, considering it's brand new basically.

  • Maybe Computer Alliance knew about the promotion finishing earlier. Once I received the GPU on 16th ,I followed their instructions on the invoice & checked Computer Alliance promo page. The SSD promo already marked as expired on 8/10. I inquired it from them & they said it's a typo.

    Computer Alliance Promo page

    • +1

I hope they didn't know, at least the promo was still available for redeeming when this ebay sale was on. I actually noticed every supplier removed this promo from their gigabyte 2070s listings on Friday(16 Oct) night so I guess that's the time when gigabyte told them SSDs were OOS.

I'd blame Gigabyte rather than Computer Alliance if I my understanding was correct, disgusting brand.

      • +1

Yea will never purchase another product from gigabyte, the way they respond to the email is hopeless, they would have known ages ago the promotion is going to end a month earlier but they purposely wait after amazon prime day to announce it because they know many will buy in prime day, but end up getting no gifts

        • Yes, what an arsehole move. It was on my snapshot of my purchase page, so it definitely was there during the promo. Also, Gigabyte had this on their site on the 16th, which was when i received my card and made the claim - so they should have known about it.

Anyone here know if we have some avenue to pursue compensation (via small claims or otherwise)? They did say while stocks last but on the day we purchased, there was no indication the stock wasn't available. I have written to ACCC to ask for comment but I'm not sure if they are the right body to approach for this?
