iPhone 11 128GB $1079 + Shipping ($0 C&C) @ JB Hi-Fi or Apple Store

901

All colours available. I actually price matched at OfficeWorks for $1025 in black. There is only black and green at Officeworks. The price seems reasonable when you factor in years of use. I put it down to approximately $250 a year.

The 64GB model is at $999 at JB HIFI, but price match can bring it in for less if you want the 64GB model.

Same price at Apple Store

  • Ow price match

    • I called Officeworks to price beat, they said they can't do it if it's the same price. Both JB Hifi & OW selling at $1079. So not sure how OP managed to get it at $1025.

    • +3

      And earphones

      • +1

the lightning earphones? eww, but charger alone YAYE

      • +5

No one cares about the Earpods.

        • -1

          Exactly..

        • +2

          I care

          • +4

            @stephendt: It’s spelled iCare.

Shout out to NSW Treasurer Dominic Perrottet.

            NSW ICAC will be busy.

        • The earpods are pretty cool - if you add in with the new wifi case lamp it's perfect

      • The Apple website now says that iPhone 11 no longer comes with earphones. Do we know if the JB Hifi ones do?

        • +3

Unless they received their stock less than three hours ago… yes

        • The Apple website now says that iPhone 11 no longer comes with earphones.

          whoa Whoa WHOA

i never hit the woah this hard before

    • -3

Surely with the numerous charger deals on OZBargain people aren't running low on chargers…

      • Now the included cable is USBC so all previous chargers are useless

        • +1

Oh no! You mean they stop working with their original cables too?! USELESS JUNK!

        • +4

The other end is still lightning. Most people who have a plug also has a cable? So previous chargers are not really useless.

          • +1

@chankaran: Yeah, you just won't get any of the fast charging benefits out of the box that other phones have had for 5 years

          • @chankaran: so is the adapter type C?
and cable is C to lightning??

            • +2

@capslock janitor: They're including a USB-C to Lightning cable in the box but no adapter (for the 12 not the 11). They figure everyone already has something that can charge a lightning port and if people wanted fast charging they probably already went out and bought that too. The included cable is something not that many people have yet and is useful if you're coming from a phone that already charges via USB-C or have a laptop with USB-C or iPad Pro with USB-C.

For anything earlier they were basically putting a 5 V USB-A cable and USB-A to lightning cable in the box, so cheap obsolete e-waste basically.

      • but why would they NOT include a freaking charger

imagine getting a laptop and they dont provide the charger

        • +11

Imagine commenting about a phone you were never going to buy even it did have a charger

          Just imagine

          • +29

@GrueHunter: ah apple fanboys will defend apple for their stupid decisions at all costs

            • @Freestyle: Sounds like something an Android fan boy would say

Me personally, charger and earphones included are useless since I already have so many

        • +3

I bet there are more people who bought an iPhone and never used the original charger, than ones who bought one and used it. I also bet you and other downvoters were never going to buy an iPhone in the first place and this doesn't affect you at all.

        • +9

          Include 5W charger? Nah
Include 18W charger that people would actually use? Nah
Don't include any charger? Yes! Yes! Yes!

          • @MagicMushroom:

Include 18W charger that people would actually use?

Have 18W charger already, don't use it, while another would be cool (better than any more 5W adapters) I wouldn't want to see it built into the price when I just charge wirelessly anyway.

        • -5

          Reduce, reuse, recycle…
If you already have a charger why waste energy and resources on building, transporting, packaging another one? If you don't have one, buy a universal USB charger for all your devices and you're done.
This is a good move by Apple to help reduce waste.

    • +2

Why would you buy a last gen phone for a 5w charger? I can give you one for free!

      • Will it be a type-C compatible charger or it comes with a proper lightening cable?

  • +6

Might be worth it if you are after lcd…OLED use pwm

    • +5

Not sure why you're getting negged since it's a valid point. Some people can't use OLED phones because PWM (pulse width modulation) can give some people eye strain and headaches. Until Apple offers OLED screens that are self-lit (like OLED TVs are) then it's a dealbreaker for people who are sensitive to PWM flicker.

If you are a suncorp customer 5% off giftcards with JBHIFI

    • Thanks for this! however since I've just signed up I now have to wait 48 hours to get verified! Any idea how long the gift cards take to be issued? I've been caught out by this (somewhere else) before. Took days for gift cards to be issued and missed a deal!

      • +1

Most are straight away, I don't know about JBHIFI, DJ's, sunglasses hut are usually within 5mins

        • @grasshopper75 i just went through the payment verification process on Suncorp's website and it is so annoying. Basically to use a credit card to pay for a gift card on the Suncorp Benefits poprtal, they deduct a random amount (between $0.01 to $2.99) from your card, and you need to enter that amount in order to use your card. I tried this first with an ING card and the authorisation amount didn't show up. I then tried to register my 28 degrees mastercard and it showed up straight away. So my card is now verified and I was able to pay for the gift card.

I then paid for the JB HIFI gift card, however it has not been issued yet (I paid an hour ago). So it may well be that JB hifi gift card do take up to 72 hours to generate. Which is annoying because I'm looking to buy the iPhone 12, and pre-ordering starts at 11pm on Friday (through apple and hopefully jb hifi too) so I may not get the giftcard in time!

          • @carpecrash: Just ordered 2 x $500 and received straight away, though I have been verified for a year or so now

          • @carpecrash: Thanks for the info. There is also 5% off JB HiFi gift cards via "Zurich Loving Life" membership. I get this benefit with my life & income protection insurance, it is essentially the Entertainment Book. However they mention that it can take 48 hours to verify JB HiFi gift cards too. :(

            • @Grasshopper75: I just called up Suncorp (or AAMI for me), and they just had to verify me over the phone and they sent through the gift cards within 2 minutes.

              • @carpecrash: Was this to do the initial signup verification? I tried this yesterday and the person said that they could not expedite the verification process.

                • +1

@Grasshopper75: Checked the app and I'm now verified. Gift cards purchased and received. Thanks for the tip!

Tempting to upgrade my 64gb to a 128gb…

  • The Pro version was a bit more last night on eBay.

  • +7

Apple store also selling 128gb @A$1079

    • Good point. Many of us have $500 jbhifi gift cards to utilise so this deal helps.

  • +2

I think this is the new RRP given the new iPhone 12 starts at $1,349

    • Link please?

    • +1

iPhone 12 design has gone back to the square edge rather than curve? Looks similar to the old iPhone 4.
We have gone back to square 1?

      • +4

        iPhone 1-3 - round edge
        iPhone 4-5 - flat edge
        iPhone 6-11 - round edge
        iPhone 12 - flat edge

yah theres a bit of back and forth going on

      • +2

Hopefully the trend of smaller "mini" compact phones catches too :D

      • I think they went square edge for the 5G radio design on the mini phone.

Every time there's a new mobile generation, all the phones get bigger. Bigger batteries, bigger antennas, bigger screens - all to handle that bandwidth.

it's absolutely crazy that they got mmwave 5G radio design in such a small body. I don't think they'll see a competitor to that phone for ages.

        • +1

Only mmWave on the US models unfortunately for us.

        • What are you on about bro?

  • -6

Display is so outdated. Even $400 phone use oled these days.

    • what's min/max nits brightness?

    • the one and only IPS LCD anomalous screen that ever went to mass production at that scale in entire phone history + the very last LCD screen in iPhone history. Gonna have it for collection purpose lol.

      • Same reason I "collected" the iPhone 8 Plus - Last of it's era.

  • Can someone recommend a case?

    • Mouse

      • MOUS?

        • YeH that one.

They look good, have good materials (e.g. aramid fibre). Good on drop tests and fairly sleek.

      • +1

Strengths and weaknesses and price point please?

    • Phone rebel case. I got one, loving it. Slightly on the heavier side but worth the trade off for less bulky case.

      • Hey mate would you mind me asking how long it took to deliver from ordering?

        • +1

I pre-ordered it in March and got it delivered by June

          • @chankaran: Thank you very much! At least now I have an idea how long it takes to arrive since is coming from US.

            • @Illuxz: I think the delays I experienced were due to production issues and shipping backlog due to covid. I think you’ll get it much faster now.

              • +1

@chankaran: You have a point since you said you've ordered in March and that's when it all started, I can't wait for their iPhone 12 series though! :D

iPhone stats for people to consider compared to 11 and 11 pro/max

iphone 12 mini, 12, 12 pro and 12 pro max

All have oled screens and 5G

    Screen sizes - 12 mini 5.4”, 12 6.1”, 12 pro 6.1”, 12 pro max 6.7”

    Storage memory - 12 mini and 12 64gb, 128gb, 256gb. 12 pro and 12 pro max 128gb, 256gb, 512gb

    Base prices - 12 mini 64gb $1199, 12 64gb $1349, 12 pro 128gb $1699, 12 pro max 128gb $1849

Accessories - all iphone 12 models only come with phone and usb-c to lightning cable meaning you have to buy your own usb type c adapter and doesn’t come with earpods

    • +1

Can I still use the older lightning cables to charge the phone if I don’t have a USB c adapter?

      • -1

        Just slower i guess

      • +1

of course. you can use any lightning cable or charger to charge any iphone and ipad.

        • Except the iPad Pro, but that includes everything required to charge it, and you can even use the charger that comes with that with the cable in the box of the new iPhone. Or even the iPad Pro itself with the new cable.

    • +7

I like how they don't give us charging bricks, cause they say we have alot of them already but then include a USB-c - Lightning … wish they gave us a few more years of USB-C bricks before stopping :)

      • +2

Yeah I agree. I’m likely to upgrade to 12 mini from Gen1 SE so don’t have USB-C charger. Neither do either of our iPads. Why not make them an optional accessory and the buyer can choose to have them if needed, or not have them if they are not needed? The buyer makes that call when purchasing the phone

    • Thanks … Bookmarked 🤙

  • +4

This listing won't age very well

  • +1

I've got a Pixel 2XL I'm ready to retire… Is it worth it getting the iPhone 11 Pro (when it goes on sale) or even the iPhone 12 over the iPhone 11? Was also considering the Pixel 5 but not sure…

From what I can see with the iPhone 12, it seems to have small additions such as 5G and I think LiDAR. I have LiDAR already on my iPad pro but I barely even use it.

    • what about Pix4a5G?

      • I hadn't considered the 4a 5G. I guess it's definitely a possibility too, although I guess I'd rather aim for "flagship" since I usually keep my phone for a few years so need some future proofing.

    • Not a big jump from iPhone 11 Pro to 12 Pro, I would go for the 11 Pro on sale as the best value.

5G is barely available in Australia, so can't really take advantage of it yet.

      • And only the models sold in the US will support 5G mmWave (probably not many if any networks outside the US support it yet).

    • Get the 11 Pro for as cheap as you can, should last you another 3-5yrs (considering how long you held the 2XL).

Pixel range hasn't really been impressive lately, they're already downplaying the Pixel5 as mid-tier and the price matches. That qualcomm chip isn't gonna touch the A13.

The 11 Pro also you'll get the telephoto lens, which the 12 doesn't have. Personally I really like that lens, I find it very useful.

  • Any deals on the iPhone SE?

  • +2

Seems to be the same price on the Apple website:

    64Gb - $999
    128Gb - $1079
    256Gb - $1249

    • +2

Yep, this isn't actually a deal, just the new iPhone 11 RRP as of today.

Surprised Apple has kept the 128GB model. They usually kill off the "sweet spot" size for the older models leaving just stupid-small and exxy-big as the choices.

  • +6

Sold my iPhone 11 128gb on ebay for $970 two days ago. Just in time !

    • +2

What. Good for you but some people are just silly!

      • +2

yeah right! i sold my iphone 7 plus 256gb for $700 last year July 2019. Imagine that! It was supposed to be $500 max …

    • How much in fees did ebay take from that $970?

      • +1

Had 10 free listing with no selling fees. Guy paid cash so ebay got squat !

Heads up Paypal take 3% if they pay that way, plus the ebay listing fee, plus the ebay 10.9% selling fee. Expensive to sell that way if you don't take advantage of promos
