  • Great price, just be aware that the buttons are a little spongy.

  • These don't pump out as much as other models. Wouldn't buy again.

For $10, how bad can it be

      • +3

I have one and I'm pretty happy with it!

      • Well depends how big the room is I guess. I have an open plan house so this thing is pretty useless. It's really only good enough for a small room.

      • Mine broke in about 2 hours. Lol

        • I have 2 and they still diffuses wonderfully.

          • @Hunnypooh: pretty sure they might, but lots of people were having problems (leaking, not working etc).

Astivita guys seem to be great in terms of support tho, I was just too lazy to complain and asking for a refund.

  • I still haven't used mine from a previous deal lol

Where are people buying the oil from?

    • I got mine from iHerb

    • +1

Get the lavender 100% concentrate from Coles, 3 to 5 drops are enough and it costs $17 for 50ml

    • Get Thursdays Plantation lavender from Chemist Warehouse 60ml bottle for $13 and peppermint 30ml for $11…that calms me down for weeks.

    • Kmart.

  • So happy to have finally gotten one. Been eyeing it for years but never pulled the trigger.

    • +2

For that price, you'll be happy with it!

  • +3

Got this for $10. Great at this price. Used for few months now and is still going strong.

  • I thought it was way too big and a bit fugly but that's obviously subjective. More disappointingly, the fan stopped working after one use after 4 weeks in storage. Fortunately Amazon has fantastic support.

    • +1

the fan stopped working after one use after 4 weeks

hun, there is a fan in it?

      • +1

        There’s no fan

  • I grabbed one for $10, it'll be good to see if I use it and the benefits and then I can upgrade.

Any recommendations for sleep? I have Asthma, anything that would benefit?

    Thanks

    • Don't use eucalyptus. That actually exacerbates nasal issues. Lavender is ok for sleep but keep the ratios low. I would highly recommend an air purifier, much more so than a diffuser for asthma.

      • I have one, and it does nothing…the air in my house/room is pretty clean. I'll stay away from Eucalyptus

  • very good unit for $9

  • +1

Stopped working after a month but customer service is good that they refunded promptly without any question even though it was out of warranty

  • +2

Actually love my AstiVita Essential Oil Diffuser so much, bought it via a deal about a year ago! Still going strong, lasts about 5 hours max as its not the biggest but perfect for a night or two before refilling :)

    • You can set & forget about it to 1 hours, 1.5 hour or 2 hours.
    • There is a mode which you can set the light colour as well, you can either pick a colour that suits, leave on multicolour or leave the light off.
    • There is also a setting for Normal or High pressure however I dont notice the difference between them at all.

I use this Thursday Plantations 50ml Lavender Oil from Chemist Warehouse for $13.49, mixed in with the water. You only need 2-3 drops per fill.

EDIT: For some reason my earlier post for the Essential Oil sets was unpublished but if you browse Amazon, they have a few 6 x 10ml Essential Oil Bottle sets for $15.88 & $15.99 which is a great price if you want to try a few different aromas! I've just purchased one :)

  • Gave it as gift last time it came on sale. getting for myself this time. thanks OP

  • What’s a good budget humidifier? And are there any that actually measure humidity in the air.

  • Thanks - Got one, going to throw some lavender oil in it to help me fall asleep. Seems to be a thing that people do. I tried rubbing lavender oil into my elbows but it didnt do anything. So this is my next step to a good nights sleep!.

  • Are the lights LED?

    • +1

Yes. You can have all colours rotating intermittently, or just one colour on, or no light at all.

  • Back to normal price now

    • Nah, still going for $9.99. Did you log in with Prime? Only 1 per customer at this price I think.

      • I was trying to purchase second one for a gift. You maybe right with 1 per person limit

  • What’s the difference between a diffuser and a humidifier?

    • +1

Very little difference. Perhaps a humidifier has a bigger reservoir so it can run longer without topping up?

    • Diffuser is for use with aroma oils. Will not affect room humidity very much.

Humidifier is for adding humidity to dry air. Should have a larger reservoir.

  • I got one last year, failed after using 2 times, but refund was easy. Hasn't been in stock for a good price since, giving it another try now.

    • Mine was the same, after the first use it started to leak, chased a few days for the refund and eventually received it.

    • Hit and miss with these units

  • +1 Bought 2 last time and they're working fine. Bought some cheap oils from Kmart a while back and it does the job. Works really well in a small-medium (med would be pushing it)

  • Leaky water and electricity, not a good mix. Was going to buy but I dont think it is worth the gamble, especially around kids. Great price though.

  • Any recommendations for essential oils? Brands? Thanks

    • +1

I use Natio oils. Usually get them at 25% off at DJ/Myers.
They are 100% essential oils and not blends.
Kmart oils are blends so I stay away from them.

  • +1

Just a heads up - these are great but if you have a dog or a cat, take care as some oils that smell great can be poisonous and devastating to the health of your pets. Do your research with the oils you use.

  • Had mine for over a year easy recommend, lights work well too and disableable

  • +2

Yet another impulse buy for something I absolutely didn’t need. Thanks OzBargain and Amazon Prime Day!! 😅

  • didnt buy yesterday but now somehow i want one for my workplace…should have bought it.

  • Mine just arrived. Bought some bergamot essential oil and it’s absolutely my new favourite. Thanks OP!
