  • I tried the Promo code on a Samsung TV 75Q70T but no discount was applied, went right through the Checkout process to the payment screen.

    • I tried it on the 55inch LG Nano86 and same as you .. nothing… i didnt see them in the exclusion list above so not sure.

    • Also didn't work on the 55 x9000h

      • +1

The x9000h are door buster deals so the voucher won't work.

      • Yep, I was trying that too. Bummer.

  • +7

    Any bargains?

  • Is it worth jumping on the Sony X9000H at $1595? Looking for a tv for my Ps5. It has HDMI 2.1 compatibility.

    • Great TV

      • Tried coupon on the 75 inch version, didn't work.

    • If you need more than 2 x 2.1 also consider the Nano86, all 4 hdmi's run at 2.1 i believe :)

either way this discount code is not applying to either tv's i tried it .. would have gotten one of them if it did (for either!) hehehe

      • I think they pre-applied the code for the tv so you can't use it twice. Normal price is 1795

        • +1

i see… good on them for making it more confusing!

If it helps you make a decision, heres some tech news just for you my friend :)

"When Sony launched its ‘Ready For PlayStation 5’ Bravia TV campaign back in July, it highlighted two models from its 2020 TV range as being best suited to unlocking the potential of Sony’s next-generation gaming console: The 4K X900H (XH90 and XH92 in Europe) series, and the 8K Z8H (ZH8) series. These two series were picked chiefly on the grounds that both of them (exclusively in Sony’s range) carry HDMI ports and data management capabilities able to support such next-gen gaming features as 4K resolution streaming at up to 120Hz and, in the case of the X900H, variable refresh rates.".

So today, it released an update , in time for PS5 release to take advantage of the 120HZ refresh rate!

It seems a pretty good price, but worth noting that this is a "Door Buster Deal" and excluded from the 10% off of this post. This price looks to be valid to 21/10. Also the same price at JB, Bing Lee, Harvey Norman (till 28/10 at the latter two), so you may be able to do even better in store, but maybe not.

Edit: also worth noting that Harvey Norman seem to be offering 6 month Kayo subscriptions (nominally $150) as well (12 months on some more expensive models), so if that's of interest, that may be the best deal (delivery was $22 for me, or free click and collect which is not too bad for 55")

Do not jump on it you will break it.

  • +1

    Any recommendation for dryer?

    • +2

Heat pump dryers all the way! (not sure which one is great/bargain at the moment though hehe)

    • +1

Not a good guys one, but the Esatto heat pump dryer from Appliances Online is simply a bargain. It's about half the price of any other heat pump dryer I've seen and having picked one up a couple of months ago it's been great.

      • +1 on the Esatto unit - we have had ours for16 months and, for the $$, it's amazing. Ours gets used at least 4-6 times a week and it's never let us down!

        • You live at the bottom of a waterfall ;)?

  • +5

They jacked up the price… this was 199 yesterday
    https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/vax-compact-carpet-washer-vx9…

    • A new catalogue started last night. It probably just went off sale

      • +2

It didn't have on-sale tag yesterday.. so I doubt it…

        • +4

Yep they did jack it, On the good guys ebay sale with 15% off they jacked up the price for the split systems I wanted and the coupon would only bring a very small discount over RRP.
And 100% they jacked the price of the vax you linked because after the discounts is basically almost $200! No way that's a coincidence.

And look what I found, The same one is $199 at Harvey Norman with no sale on so $199 is the RRP for that so the good guys is price jacking over RRP

    • +3

Jack's been doing some part time work at TGG due to COVID and all..

    • -8

For real. People are just stupid thinking good guys do this deliberately. It’s end of a catalog and start of a new. Seriously, the sky is falling eh!

      • +8

No, The vax that @tae linked was jacked over RRP, RRP for that is $199. Gee, what's on with people being so defensive of the good guys!

    • +1

The LG 65 inch CX Oled tv was $4295 yesterday and now has gone upto $4495. 🤔

  • +10

Lol, it would have been less effort for them to list the inclusions.

  • +3

Unfortunately doesn't work on new Chromecast with Google TV

    • +3

But that's not on the exclusions list

  • +1

Nice, was able to grab a fridge for a better price than they were offering over the phone yesterday. Lucky I didn't cave and pull the trigger yesterday. Saves me $100 on top of their offered price.

  • Seems Uncle Jack has paid a visit

  • +1

Code doesn't work on Samsung LS03T 'The Frame' TV range (any size), despite not being in exclusions list?

    • Seems to be in the same boast as the LG Nano and Sony we mentioned above … as Brokeneither mentions it seems if they are marked down then the code's already been applied…

      • They should be clearer what 'some advertised lines' means in the exclusions then. The 32" is RRP, but apparently at an advertised price, so discount doesn't apply. Do they sell above RRP so they can have a discount?

        • agree .. well they lost a sale if the 10% worked on the Nano86 id gotten one… oh well

  • +5

Doesn't work on Chromecast with google tv even when it's not excluded

  • Any suggestions for an Air Fryer? Bang for buck….

  • +2

Would be quicker to list what's included than the exclusions

  • perfect timing need a new dishwasher..!

  • +3

Was looking at a washing machine yesterday and it’s now $200 more expensive.

  • Looks Like Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 is included, and no price jacking.

  • FYI . Code works if interested in the 85" sony x9000h

I just bought yesterday from Harvey for 4800 and got year subscription to Kayo and a $200 gift card via my gocard plus in stock and delivered today so a little bit better I think.

  • +1

Bought Oppo A52 given good reviews for $224.

  • Was looking at the TCL 75" P715, not on the exclusions list, but code does not work.

  • +1

Anyone know if the 32” Samsung frame tv is 4k or 1080p? It’s listed as 4k, but the technical specs say 1080p… https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/samsung-32-inches-ls03t-4k-uh…

    • +1
      • +2

Wow they even dug the 1080p spec all the way at the bottom on the Samsung site, very deceiving that TGG called it UHD 4K in the title, The 32" frame tv isn't worth it if that's the case because it won't look realistic since it is low res and highly priced

    • Go with the serif 43 if size and hanging isn't a requirement.

      • Bit out of my price range, but appreciate the recommendation!

        • All good, just suggested as the picture quality is far superior, but it's nice getting any Qled. Didn't know frame comes in 32".

  • I used to like Goodguys but they are very tricky nowaday. They will jerk up the price before posting a discount sales. I verified this a few time when buying mobiles. However they remain one of the few shops with lower price.

  • +2

Just searched Googles cache of their site to see what the prices on many items were before this went live. They've jacked more than a few prices since yesterday.

  • Man they are crazy, for a small 43 Inches TV delivery is $35! Why not offer in store pick up, deliver it there instead then only door to door option if local store doesn't have stock.
