      This one is more sophisticated

Probably not an issue for most but I always think SS water jugs will impart a metallic taste to the water.

    • Better than plastic taste.

    • glass FTW

      This is the same deal.

Both Amazon and catch have the same deal fulfilled by house.

It's $40 on the house website, so likely a price error loaded into their market place shops

Prefer to have cover especially now!

    Shipping is $7.95

    ah typical catch.
"Don't pay $74.99 (well I won't because it has never been that price ever)"

  • I use a Voss.

    • +5

Do you reckon anyone's ever bought a second bottle of VOSS?

      • +2

        Doubt it

      • Whoever dropped and broke the first

        • That would be the guy I worked with. Toppled his Voss bottle on the desk and broke it.

Great for recreating that conference feeling at home.

  • stating the obvious - over inflated RRP.

  • AHA seen these for $2 and the 2 up shop

Do all versions of these glug and splash if not poured really, really slowly? I’m pretty sure every time I’ve seen these used at a cafe at least one person has splashed themselves or the table with water.

    • I was searching for this comment. It's a terrible design.
This is a case of aesthetics over function

      • The part the covers the top partially is to stop ice cubes falling in your glass resulting in the pourer getting splashed on. The indirect consequence is that liquid will need to be poured out slowly or it will spill over like an overflowing water over a dam.

        • From memory, when I have seen people use them it was the cessation of pouring from a relatively full vessel that caused the glug/splash, not the actual pouring.

    • I've got these at work. They don't glug and splash in the sense of an olive oil can with no air hole. They kind of gush out like a waterfall when you pour faster because the hole is too small and the water will go over the top.

  • Why do I get $39 ?

  • Had a few of these in my office. Some had brown stains on the inside bottom - rust?

    • Yes, I have one of these and it developed rust on the inside bottom within a few months.

    • Scaling? Like you get with kettles? Or maybe they just need a wash.

I think this might be an ash tray.

    • 100% lol

  • Sophisticated?
Looks like what the caterers provide for every low level work do.

  • I'm sophisticated, I swear!

    • getting a mental image of these bogan thinking they are now sophisticated and classy because they have this water jug.
