GALAX GeForce RTX 3070 SG (1 Click OC) 8GB - $999 + Delivery @ DComp

56

The only store with in stock 3070 so no preorder with unknown ETA. Might help someone whos desperate to get one.

They ship quickly too, bought a card at launch and it was shipped in the morning.

Yeah it's RRP but it's out of stock everywhere and won't be getting it until 2021 elsewhere most likely.

    aus prices :/

    • still 1/3 the cost of the 3090 :(

  • +24

At this price I would rather wait for the 6800xt, maybe cost $100 more but double the ram and 30-50% increase in performance

    • Hopefully AMD don't have the same supply issues as nvidia

    • +2

      RIP Jensen 🪦

    • Price people will pay to have immediately I guess. Personally think the EVGA cards are a better value proposition if you don't need one NOW.

Seems like most tech community are recommending waiting for user benchmarks for the 6800 and 6800xt as they could be a better choice if their drivers have matured as well as their hardware.

      • Good thing is they constantly get better with performance as time goes on with driver updates as well

    • +2

Long time team green supporter but this time I wont let Jensen take my money. Sick of paper launch.

  • +3

    what the hell.

  • +7

Wow only $190 above rrp! Any reason why after market cards are always so much more expensive?

    • +1

FE cards sold as a loss leader to generate hype with the influencers and ‘reviewers’… manufacturers need to actually make money.

      • +1

Nah it's because of the 'Australian Tax', other countries don't have the cards priced so wildly different.

        • £519 - £680 over on Overclockers UK while FE was supposed to be £450 I believe, though Scan sold the FE for £469 so perhaps that was RRP… pretty similar deal with regards to pricing.

    • +3

It was never a real MSRP. The problem is o have seen idiots defending the 25% price increase over MSRP saying it is "standard".
The longer people keep falling for BS marketting the longer companies will keep shafting us

    • boy i was under the impression that it is purely because additional cooling/fan … i guess i was wrong

  • +14

Horribly overpriced. The fact that there's so much stock is either because no one wants a Galax 3070 or don't want one at that price point.

    • +5

Agreed USD $499 RRP. Australia tax and early adopter tax, with an added shortage of supply tax.
Silly to buy this without any independent reviews of the Nvidia vs AMD options.
      FOMO at its strongest.

      • Funny thing is, if you go to pcpartpicker, there are price drops for the 3070 by this computer store called austin.net.

They clearly realised they have overpriced their cards and had to drop them in line with everyone else.

    • I agree with this - what this is someone in the food chain price gouging. Or NVidia claiming RRP but then pushing chips / designs that drive up the production price.

      Or both

  • +3

You might as well pay abit extra for the 3080

    • +4

At this price another $150 (for an entry or founders 3080) and you get 30% better performance.

      • Yeah but all the 3080's are sold out.

        • you know the deal with this website… Its literallly in the name.

    • You may be waiting months for a 3080, especially the ones for $1100

  • +4

    No, just no.

  • +4

Better to wait for 6800XT then buy this at inflated price.

    • +3

Why wait until 6800 XT release before buying this at it's inflated price when you can buy it now?

      • +2

Just realized what I did there…I meant than not then

    • +5

      $1029 for a 3070 dual fan? Yikes.

    • I think they dripped feed these stocks to create a sense of scarcity so they can charge more
I been monitoring some sites and they release a couple cards, sold out then 24 hours later release more

  • +6

This really isn't a deal regardless of stock levels.Way overpriced.

  • +7

Oh how far from the path we have strayed.

Remember this is OzBargain not OzInStockNow.

  • Since when almost $200 over rrp of the fe is a bargain

    • +1

I think the turning point was the mini nes a few years back.

  • Above RRP is not a bargain.

  • +1

    OzOverpriced

  • +2

    lol $1000 for a XX70. F-off.

I paid $600 for my 1070 at launch 4 years ago.

A 40% mark up 4 years later for the same series.

Nvidia needs to slow their roll.

  • This should be around 800-825. Lack of supply is driving the price up. Unfortunately, there are muppets who will still buy this and justify the price gouge !!!
