Zen 3 CPU + RTX 3070 for $1999? Yeah, you do.. Our full, large allocations of Gigabyte and Galax cards have arrived already, as have much of our MSI allocation (which means existing orders are already shipping just 5 days from launch last week!)

Again coming in with a high spec, this deal is very similar to the Zen 2 deal starting at $1788 subbing in a Zen 3 CPU and a 240GB NVME for the 480GB SSD.

# AMD Ryzen 5000 Series | RTX 3070 8GB Gaming PC: $1999 after 5600X-3070-LAUNCH

  • AMD Ryzen 5 5600X / Ryzen 7 5800X / Ryzen 9 5900X Processor. Note: the 5800X and 5900X now do not come with an AMD air cooler so a liquid cooler is required (no third party air coolers available at this time due to previous shipping damage issues)
  • Gigabyte Eagle RTX 3070 8GB (Galax and MSI also available)
  • Gigabyte B550 Aorus Elite motherboard (upgrades available)
  • 16GB 3200MHz RAM (brand/model may vary)
  • 240GB NVME m.2 SSD (brand/model may vary)
  • Gigabyte P650B 650W 80+ Bronze power supply (Gigabyte P750G and Aorus AP850G upgrades available)
  • MSI MAG Forge (others available)

Next is the Zen 3 chips with an RTX 3080 10GB, offered on preorder. We have GPUs on order, so this is offered for you to reserve your purchase of an RTX 3080 powered PC (brand/model may vary as per our regular business model) as soon as stocks become available. This price increase is because in the Zen 2 launch there was a CPU rebate which has ended, plus 3080 card prices have all been jacked.

AMD Ryzen 5000 Series | RTX 3080 10GB Gaming PC: $2348 after 5600X-3080-LAUNCH

  • AMD Ryzen 5 5600X / Ryzen 7 5800X / Ryzen 9 5900X Processor. Note: the 5800X and 5900X now do not come with an AMD air cooler so a liquid cooler is required (no third party air coolers available at this time due to previous shipping damage issues)
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 10GB (pre-order - brand/model may vary)
  • Gigabyte B550 Aorus Elite motherboard (upgrades available)
  • 16GB 3200MHz RAM (brand/model may vary)
  • 240GB NVME m.2 SSD (brand/model may vary)
  • Gigabyte P750G 750W 80+ Gold power supply (Gigabyte Aorus AP850G upgrades available and required for Ryzen 9/3080 purchase)
  • MSI MAG Forge (others available)

Zen 3 CPU status

Our first batch of Ryzen 5 5600X processors arrived today and the other models are inbound, which is obviously awesome. Existing customers who registered upgrade interest have all been emailed.

Updates on existing orders

RTX 3070 Orders
As above these systems will start shipping from today, just 5 business days after launch. This should provide some insight into how significantly NVIDIA's 3080 delays have affected the industry!

RTX 3080 Orders
A big number of MSI Ventus, Gigabyte Eagle and Gigabyte Gaming orders will be shipping early next week, while we have received dispatch notification from Galax so they should also be next week. We've prebuilt orders to minimise the time between card arrival and dispatch.

While this will account for a very good chunk of orders, based on information from manufacturers and their suppliers, we are officially in delay territory for the remainder and likely to beyond our general 14 business day estimate assuming the cards arrived worst case 31 October as an October card could have. Other Eagle and Ventus orders are most likely going to be shipping from halfway through November onwards. This is also the case for November card orders across all brands. This is 100% down to NVIDIA's reference card manufacturing delays and their knock on effects which they have admitted to. We originally labelled our cards with months (e.g. September, October, November) based on advice from MSI/Giga/Galax and their suppliers when we placed our orders back in September, and we are pushing and pushing, but we and most other retailers are still waiting.

As a result, if you want to cancel your order, you may do so without any restocking fee, via email to [email protected].

This is obviously disappointing, but my honest recommendation would be to hang in there, if you can. If you want a 3080, you may very well be leaving a position in our queue to join the end of another. 3080 prices have also been jacked due to no supply, so you've locked the absolute lowest possible pricing. And your cards will be coming, and your system will be prebuilt to minimise delay.

If you want a status update to see if your order is close to dispatch, please email [email protected] and we'll reply as soon as we can.

If you're livid about the whole 3080 thing, please submit your thoughts to [email protected] (freely visible on reddit btw).

Luke

    • All these motherboards are ATX so not going to be doable.

  • How come it says $1999 for the 1st variant here but on the website its way higher. Same with the $2348.
I don't see any kind of code to use.

    • 5600X-3070-LAUNCH
      and
      5600X-3080-LAUNCH

    • Code are up top:
      5600X-3080-LAUNCH
      &
      5600X-3070-LAUNCH

Though appears to be having some problems with it as products are changing as mentioned in a previous post, they appear to be fixing it.

edit: beat me to the reply…

check out this review if you play at 2k or 4k, pretty much no difference in average performance between 5600x and intel cheaper counter-part i5-10600k

    • -1

You do no realize that once you up in resolutions, that it becomes more GPU bound and less CPU bound? If you play and 1080p it's more CPU bound, and because the 5600X is faster, there will be greater benefit. Additionally the 5600X is also faster in applications and is more power efficient. It's not just about gaming!

      • +3

yes I do realise, and do you realise this post bundle it with a 3070 or a 3080? Are you planning on 1080p gaming with them?

Who here is actually purchasing this systems for productivity? And even with the faster single core, it is neck and neck for the 5600x and 3700x/3800x in many productivity tasks

        • -1

So you can read other peoples minds as to what they will use their PCs for? Why don't you post reviews from reputable sites such as Gamer Nexus, rather than cherry picking. Is it simply because reputable sites show 5600x is faster than the 10600k in a lot games/applications, and even the 10900k. As a buyer, my own personal preference would be to buy the fastest six core CPU now not an inferior product. Jarrod'sTech 5600X vs 10600k review.

Sorry, if you don't have the 3080s in, why do you have systems marked as in stock on your website? And still emailing people to expect to wait 14 business days?

I'm at 13 business days in and finding out I'm likely going to have to wait a lot longer from a bloody ozbargin post.

Quite underwhelming communication from Techfast here.

It's fine that I have to wait longer, but I'd just like to be kept updated here.

    • The product description and GPU dates in the configuration list the estimated dates and specifics around these particular GPUs. I certainly take your feedback regarding communication on board as valid and we are working through contacting affected customers now that we have this new information, which has only just been confirmed.

  • +8

Man I really wish you guys would get different cases, around the $150 mark :/

  • good deal, gona wait for AMD GPU

  • +3

id like to see AMD builds with the 6800xt

    • Surely you're going to wait for the 5950X as well?

  • waiting for a juicy 6800xt build

  • i'd prefer 3600x+3080 at the same price…

  • would be interested if there was a no GPU option.

use my own GPU until radeon 6000s release

  • +1

Hey Luke, any chance you'd be able to ship out the available parts first and the 3080 later on whenever it comes in if I choose to order it in parts instead of assembled?

    • Potentially, but we may need to fulfill existing orders first. Please email [email protected] to discuss.

  • damn this is nice.. really glad I held out and didnt get the 2080s back in financial year not sure if I should hold for longer maybe get the high end for even cheaper hmmmmmmmmm :D

  • I wish I had waited too, I took the 2070s deal a few month back ;_; this ones better all round for the same price

  • Thinking about getting one of these, though I'm torn between getting a 3080 with Ryzen 5 5600X, or getting a 3070 with Ryzen 7 5800X.
I'm building a PC for both gaming and as a video editing / 3d workstation and I'm not sure which config I'd benefit more from.
I play a lot of VR too which of course is quite intensive on the GPU.

    • the 5800x would cost more because only 5600x come with cooler. If you are doing video editting, I think you'd be better off with intel 10700 as it is cheaper and has more thread/core than 5600x and only about 10-15% slower in single core performance

  • Does TF do mITX builds at all?

  • Hi Luke , I ordered a 3700x upgrade on the previous 3080 deal for Nov Build, is it possible to upgrade to 5600x and pay the difference(if there is any). Thanks

  • Hey Luke - love everything you guys do at techfast. Great systems. I have to point out though - I don't think Nvidia ever admitted anything was wrong with the cards though? And there's nothing in that article that you posted (the Tom's Hardware article) that points to them admitting as such. I mean they could very well had issues like you said - but the article doesn't say that. In fact it says the opposite Nvidia blamed it on great demand, which is true, but also deflects from the supply issue. As far as I know Jacob from EVGA said on their forums they had issues very late on in testing, which was why the FTW3 was delayed. And Colorful also told Jayztwocents they had issues. Igor from Igor's lab said there might be something with the capacitors. But a lot of that talk was quickly nipped in the bud.

I mean if you know more - do share, obviously i understand you're selling PCs at the same time. I don't think its a major issue if anyone is actually worried about it, its pretty much been fixed with an update, but its possible that cards were sent back.

    • It's not so much faulty cards as it is slow production. Not enough reference cards are getting to third party manufacturers for them to produce their cards.

  • I'm waiting on the AMD 6000 series GPUs. Once that's available, will you guys have an option for that?
If I email you guys am I able to get the case changed (to the Corsair 4000D Airflow) and no PSU?

    • No sorry, not our business model for that level of customisation.

  • Hey Luke, cheers for the post. I tried to put the code for 3070 (copied straight from above) and on the checkout page it says "5600X-3070-LAUNCH discount code isn’t valid for the items in your cart". Does it mean the promotion is over?

    • No, still running. Something may be out of stock, is there a message on the cart page?

  • Hey Luke what are the brands of X570 wifi motherboards. I want to upgrade to a x570 wifi motherboard.

    • +1

We've been using Asus Tuf and MSI Gaming Edge so would be similar if not those.

      • By similar do you also mean it can be from Biostar too like X570 mobo upgrade. If it the case then can I just get the bundled B550?

        • We don't have a Biostar WiFi X570 so will be local stock.

      • Is there any chance to request a particular brand? In this case, looks like Asus Tuf has much better/faster WIFI, and better bluetooth (5.0 vs 4.2).

        • Not at this stage. The most common are Asus Tuf, MSI Gaming Edge, and we are also getting Aorus Elite WiFi in shortly.

  • Whats the build time before postage on the new Ryzen 5600x/rtx3070?

  • Ordered the 5600x and 3080 rig. This will be my 4th Techfast PC. Please keep the updates coming on estimated shipping. Thanks!

    • +1

      Grouse!!

  • Hey Luke, I put in an order last week to come unassembled, just wondering do you test any of the components in that case or just send them straight through without opening the box? And I was thinking if you do not test them, will the default B550 board come with BIOS acceptable to the new 5000 series CPUs? I know some boards need to be flashed first, not sure about the Gigabyte B550 Aorus Elite

    • +1

We rarely test components, but do on occasion. B550 boards should all be Zen 3 compatible out of the box, perhaps not the very latest BIOS

    • Update on this - can confirm that Aorus Elite does require a BIOS update to boot. It has the Q Flash functionality. If you want us to flash a board for you, it would need to be requested either during or after order via email to [email protected]

      • Thanks for the update!

      • same thing with B550 Gigabyte Gaming X board I assumed? I had the 5600x upgrade in the old RTX3080 deal, do I need to send an email to request BIOS update as well?

        • Every B550 and X570, yep. Please email.

  • Hey Luke, any chance of a 5950X upgrade for the 3080 system?

    • No word on allocation or timing for them as yet, so not at this stage.

  • Hi, i ordered 2 pc on 30th of october for 3070. When do you expect shipping? Still 14 working days? I emailed but nobody replied

    • Both inboxes are still under heavy load. 3070s have started to ship, depending on the spec, but we're also working through 3080 orders this week. They should be within the 14 business days overall.

  • Any one got their Zen 3 3070 system delivered yet?

    • yeah pretty keen to hear if people are receiving notification of their orders being complete.

i upgraded mine to the 5600x cpu and am hoping the order is shipped this week.

  • i just got my shipping confirmation this afternoon -ordered on 30th oct, was originally the 3070 with the deepcool matrexx case + the 3600 cpu but upgraded it to the 5600x cpu.

for anyone still waiting for shipping seems like theyre going out.

    • Hix could you advise when your placed your order, wondering how far off i am.

      • 1pm on the 30th of october. hope that helps.

only change i made to the previous build was the case upgrade which could also change timeframes i assume.

  • +2

Anyone got a 3080 PC yet from this offer?

    • +1

People who ordered on launch day nearly 2 months ago are only just receiving their 3080's so I wouldn't hold your breath.

  • I'm confused is this deal still going? on the website the prices have gone back up?

  • Hi Luke, can you bring back the Zen 2, Ryzen 5 3600 + 3080 deal back again?

  • +1

Got one of my delivery today

    • System delivered from this deal?

    • When did you order mate?

      • 30th october.

  • Do you have an estimate on the 3080 delivery lead if I ordered today. Was holding out for the 6800XT but frankly im underwhelmed by it's performance…

    • +3

There is no fixed estimate except to say that you're getting in the queue for the earliest available 3080s that come in after our existing orders are fulfilled. Word from suppliers is finally positive on supply front, so while I can't give times, supplies are increasing late this month.

    • Same, quite underwhelmed. As much as I will be gaming in 1440P which is the 6800 sweet spot, I’m over 3 screens which shoots me past 4K res. So it’s a 3080 for me. I ordered this system last week and hope for a mid Dec delivery.

  • Luke, if I order the 3080 deal now, can you give an estimate on ETA? Also, is there an option to get the PC without the 3080 now and have the 3080 mailed separately later?

    • See my comment directly above, no fixed ETA as yet. Maybe re separate GPU, but wont skip ahead of the others in the queue. Would need to wait until all existing "dated" 3080 orders are fulfilled which will be a little while yet.

  • Hey Luke,
Thinking of biting the bullet and buying the 3070 system. Knowing my luck I’ll buy it then you guys will release a better package. Just wanted to ask if you’ll be releasing a new package this week in line for Black Friday

    • We do have a 3070 planned but not with a Zen 3 chip. Not enough availability for a BF deal.

      • Will you be using previous gen cpus or newer ones ?

  • If I go 3080 deal what are odds of delivery before Christmas? It's a Christmas present…

    • Should be fine, but can't guarantee it at the moment. If you need a rock solid I cant give you that on the 3080.

  • Ordered 3070 build on Nov 6th. Not yet any confirmation.
    Anyone else?

    • Any update on your order since?

  • +1

Know when the 5600x will get restocked?

    • If we order now, is the 5600x also a preorder?

      • i would order if i could, it just doesnt let you.

    • Limited 5600X back in stock now.

  • Quick question, what case is everyone ordering? The MSI or the Leaper case?
Is there a performance difference / airflow? Or mainly looks?

    • +1

The Air Maxx has greater airflow due to having 3 front fans versus two in the MAG Forge. Steel thickness, tempered glass, PSU shroud, general features wise, they're equivalent.

      • Thanks Luke,

I'm close to ordering one, and i know it's a hard question to answer but do you have an idea of when the next batch of RTX3080 are coming in and what brand they will be? And will the RTX3080 all be triple fan, not the dual fan config cards?

        • I haven't actually seen any after market dual fan 3080s yet, only 3070s. I'm sure they're coming at some point. We don't have any visibility as yet, but likely will be one of the models we've used previously. Timing wise yeah, I can't be specific right now other than you're reserving the earliest possible delivery point for our next batch.

          • @luketechfast: Thanks again Luke.
One last (Hopefully) question. What brand NVME drive is used for the 1TB upgrade?

            • +1

@nfenech: It can vary according to what is available. Currently we are using Crucial P1. We also commonly use Lexar and Kingston.

              • @luketechfast: Thanks mate. I appreciate the time you've taken to answer my questions.
I'll be placing that order shortly :)

  • I'm still super tempted on this one, very close to pulling the trigger

Just a few questions if you could:
    - is there an expiry on the coupon code/sale?
    - is there any chance of being able to include the 5900X as the CPU again? lead time is fine..
    - any chance for the 3600 speed ram? seems like such a waste..

    • +1
      • We'll have a Zen 2 / 3070 offer for BF/CM but there's no set end date on these two just now. Could change any time though.
      • As of today, no, but I may look at putting "pre-order" next to the 5900X to make it clear about extended lead times. Leave that with me
      • Motherboards is the tricky one here - in the past we offered it paired with a board that said it supported 3600MHz RAM and it didn't end up working. So it's not a focus for us right now.
  • +1

Just got my Zen 3 3070 shipping confirmation this afternoon -ordered on 6th Nov.

    • Business day 13, SA lockdown clusterfk included! 😉

      • Hey Luke, any word on when the 5600x's will be back in stock?

        • Not as of right now sorry

  • Hi Luke would you happen to know when the 5600x will be in stock again?

    • Not as of right now sorry

  • Hi Luke, I have already placed an order. I have selected the 360mm Liquid CPU Cooler [Requires DeepCool Matrexx 55 Mesh Case Upgrade Only]

But just realised this case is unavailable on your site. OR can you install it on the MSI MAG Forge 100R Case?

    • +1

Hi, the MAG Forge has max 240mm compatibility, but our Lance-V has 360mm compatibility. Please email [email protected] and we can work it out with you, no sweat.
