Zen 3 CPU + RTX 3070 for $1999? Yeah, you do.. Our full, large allocations of Gigabyte and Galax cards have arrived already, as have much of our MSI allocation (which means existing orders are already shipping just 5 days from launch last week!)

Again coming in with a high spec, this deal is very similar to the Zen 2 deal starting at $1788 subbing in a Zen 3 CPU and a 240GB NVME for the 480GB SSD.

# AMD Ryzen 5000 Series | RTX 3070 8GB Gaming PC: $1999 after 5600X-3070-LAUNCH

  • AMD Ryzen 5 5600X / Ryzen 7 5800X / Ryzen 9 5900X Processor. Note: the 5800X and 5900X now do not come with an AMD air cooler so a liquid cooler is required (no third party air coolers available at this time due to previous shipping damage issues)
  • Gigabyte Eagle RTX 3070 8GB (Galax and MSI also available)
  • Gigabyte B550 Aorus Elite motherboard (upgrades available)
  • 16GB 3200MHz RAM (brand/model may vary)
  • 240GB NVME m.2 SSD (brand/model may vary)
  • Gigabyte P650B 650W 80+ Bronze power supply (Gigabyte P750G and Aorus AP850G upgrades available)
  • MSI MAG Forge (others available)

Next is the Zen 3 chips with an RTX 3080 10GB, offered on preorder. We have GPUs on order, so this is offered for you to reserve your purchase of an RTX 3080 powered PC (brand/model may vary as per our regular business model) as soon as stocks become available. This price increase is because in the Zen 2 launch there was a CPU rebate which has ended, plus 3080 card prices have all been jacked.

AMD Ryzen 5000 Series | RTX 3080 10GB Gaming PC: $2348 after 5600X-3080-LAUNCH

  • AMD Ryzen 5 5600X / Ryzen 7 5800X / Ryzen 9 5900X Processor. Note: the 5800X and 5900X now do not come with an AMD air cooler so a liquid cooler is required (no third party air coolers available at this time due to previous shipping damage issues)
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 10GB (pre-order - brand/model may vary)
  • Gigabyte B550 Aorus Elite motherboard (upgrades available)
  • 16GB 3200MHz RAM (brand/model may vary)
  • 240GB NVME m.2 SSD (brand/model may vary)
  • Gigabyte P750G 750W 80+ Gold power supply (Gigabyte Aorus AP850G upgrades available and required for Ryzen 9/3080 purchase)
  • MSI MAG Forge (others available)

Zen 3 CPU status

Our first batch of Ryzen 5 5600X processors arrived today and the other models are inbound, which is obviously awesome. Existing customers who registered upgrade interest have all been emailed.

Updates on existing orders

RTX 3070 Orders
As above these systems will start shipping from today, just 5 business days after launch. This should provide some insight into how significantly NVIDIA's 3080 delays have affected the industry!

RTX 3080 Orders
A big number of MSI Ventus, Gigabyte Eagle and Gigabyte Gaming orders will be shipping early next week, while we have received dispatch notification from Galax so they should also be next week. We've prebuilt orders to minimise the time between card arrival and dispatch.

While this will account for a very good chunk of orders, based on information from manufacturers and their suppliers, we are officially in delay territory for the remainder and likely to beyond our general 14 business day estimate assuming the cards arrived worst case 31 October as an October card could have. Other Eagle and Ventus orders are most likely going to be shipping from halfway through November onwards. This is also the case for November card orders across all brands. This is 100% down to NVIDIA's reference card manufacturing delays and their knock on effects which they have admitted to. We originally labelled our cards with months (e.g. September, October, November) based on advice from MSI/Giga/Galax and their suppliers when we placed our orders back in September, and we are pushing and pushing, but we and most other retailers are still waiting.

As a result, if you want to cancel your order, you may do so without any restocking fee, via email to [email protected].

This is obviously disappointing, but my honest recommendation would be to hang in there, if you can. If you want a 3080, you may very well be leaving a position in our queue to join the end of another. 3080 prices have also been jacked due to no supply, so you've locked the absolute lowest possible pricing. And your cards will be coming, and your system will be prebuilt to minimise delay.

If you want a status update to see if your order is close to dispatch, please email [email protected] and we'll reply as soon as we can.

If you're livid about the whole 3080 thing, please submit your thoughts to [email protected] (freely visible on reddit btw).

        Paid.

        • Does the 3080 (Preorder) mean that if someone buys the pc, it's shipment will be delayed?
Also do you have an expected date for their arrival?

Hey Luke, I'm sure you might have answered a similar question previously. But are these your Black Friday/ Cyber Monday deals ?

      • +1

Not anticipating any 3000 or 5000 series Black Friday deals at this stage, mostly due to availability. Pricing will likely not change very much at all this year.

  • +6

Is it possible to order a 5800X system without having to add a cooler? $89 for a crappy 120mm AIO cooler is a piss take. I'd rather add one myself.

    • +2

I understand the view and we might look at it, but not in this deal at this stage. If it changes I will update the post.

    • Are these parts the same brand/model that we will receive?

      • he states what may vary in the post - PCPP is a ballpark guide and solid as you would include postage and warranty differences from each seller.

        • +2

^^ this is correct. I always choose the lowest price equivalent spec component I can find if the brand/model may vary, or use the exact model if it's listed in the deal and on PCPP

  • +3

When is the 6800xt going to be available in systems?

    • +9

Their launch is mid November. No word on stock time or quantity yet.

  • any idea what are the coolers for the 120 and 240mm?

    • It may vary but we have used Allied and Deepcool most recently.

  • +1

Any deals for some mid-range gaming computers? :)

    • +1

There will be yep, just lots of high end stuff coming out rn

      • +1

can we please do either 2070 Super or 5700 XT deal? The price drop on these GPUs should make it one hell of a deal.

        • +2

2070 Super is end of life (we've checked, ditto with 2080 Super). Will definitely look into mid and budget priced specs for lots as we get into November.

    • +5

Yea some of us have budgets around $1000-$1500 (max)

      • +1

$1,500 for something like 3600, B550 MoBo with WiFi, 2070S/5700XT, 2x8GB 3200MHz CL16, 1TB NVMe MX500/P1/A2000/SX8100, Corsair RM750X; I hope I'm not asking too much for $1.5K but yeah something that are quite meaty and not generic.

        • +2

thats pretty much exactly what I'm looking for I think

        • +6

We got the MSI B550 Pro VDH WiFi board in recently actually so we'll run the numbers. Suppliers are forcing us to buy up to 10 motherboards per RTX 3080 card we'd already ordered just for them to supply us. Good news for range though I guess!

        • +1

Exactly what I am after. Really holding out for this

          • @GrimCheaper: yes, I was just going to pick on that

  • Hi Luke,
I have an October Galax SG RTX 3080 from the i7 deal. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/571522
Wondering if it's possible to switch to this and pay the difference.
Also what would happen to my position in queue for the card?

    Ordered 15 October

    Cheers

    • +2

All doable but will need you to please email [email protected] so the team can manage it there please!

  • Any chance of a build without a GPU/cheaper option?

Interested in a prebuilt but have my own GPU

    • -3

The answer is always no to this.

      • +3

        They did this last month

    • There is definitely demand but CPU supply between gens is too low to offer it. Maybe next year.

  • What is the brand/model/specs of the 120mm water cooler for $89?

    • It may vary but we have used Allied and Deepcool most recently.

  • +1

Seriously considering this deal now that the Zen 3 chips are out. What brand is the mobo upgrade (X570 Motherboard With WiFi) for $129?

    • +2

I got the ASUS X570 Tuf Wifi

      • Top quality!

  • +1

is 8gb/10gb really going to be ideal for 4k gaming in 2 - 3 years? I say this as i'm definitely going to buy from you but playing the waiting game

    • +1

Native (non DLSS) 4k? Most definitely not. I can't remember what game was recently release (or is about to) but they said to have 4k with the top settings you need 12GB of VMAM.

Personally I'm holding out for AMD. Since the consoles will be running of AMD CPU/GPU combo, I think a lot more games will use their architecture and not NVidia's proprietary options.

    • No ideally you want 16 GB for 4K texture mod in the next Elder Scroll game

    • 2-3yrs time will Ram / CPU be enough too….

you can wait for ever and never upgrade..

      • Yeah it's just that the competitor is releasing 16gb soon so a month's wait may yield the perfect timing.

  • -1

240GB storage is very minimal in nowadays gaming rig; probably 100% consumed no longer than 3 months.

    • +1

You realise that's plenty for the OS?

    • +2

Intended for those who bring their own storage and upgrades available on the website. Great for an OS drive.

    • Upgrade it then?

  • +1

Is this pc already install Window🤔

    • +1

Yeah they include a non-activated copy of Win10

    • +1

And not activating windows does almost nothing except that it has a floating watermark on the bottom right, and you can’t customise the BG.

      • Ohhh so is it possible for you to download games and install steams or League of Legends for example? Thank you😅👍

        • You can do everything else, yes.

  • I’m considering getting gaming PC, or building one, though I have never owned a PC before. Always mac, eeewww for gaming I know.
Given I have never had experience with them, I have no idea where to start looking. Basically want to play Star Wars Squadrons in VR, and that would be my primary use for it.
Either this or I will get a PS5 and hope for HOTAS and PSVR2.
Would either of these rigs you are advertising run Star Wars Squadrons in VR at the highest resolution?

    Star wars squadrons system requirements:

    • +1

Yes. This is the latest of the latest.

      • Thank you for the feedback :)

    • +1

if this doesn't, i don't know what will

  • I put my PC together and cost me $3300… worst thing is the CPU is delayed and the GPU… let’s not get started on that.

  • Not sure what the GPU description means here? Doesnt mention the brand or a timing like the previous deals?

Can you shed more light on which model this could be and what exactly does preorder mean with an estimation of when we would get these systems?

    • +1

Brand/model: may vary. We have Gigabyte/MSI/Galax/other brands/models all on order in larger numbers than we require for existing orders, but their timing for delivery isn't confirmed yet. So at this point we are offering a preorder to lock in the first available card after existing orders are fulfilled (re: note on current delays). I can't give an estimate timewise - we tried giving dates based on info from manufacturers/suppliers but obvs that hasn't worked out well. So, the specifics are excluded and this is similar to many of our other deals where the brand/model may vary according to what is available. Hope that makes sense.

      • Ok Luke, I have put an order in with my current address, but because there is no estimate on when I would be getting this, I just remembered that I might have to move in the next 2 months. So if the order isnt shipped already at that point, Is it possible to change the shipping address?

        • Yep it is mate and thanks for your order. Please email [email protected] so we can add a note to your order to hold shipping until address confirmation.

          • @luketechfast: Ok, thanks for the reply, I dont want them to hold off for now, I will just email you guys if I move, and if they say it has shipped at that point, then I might just bite the bullet and stay for a bit to get the system and then move.

      • I've just put my order in for this! Will you be confirming which cards have come into stock and letting people choose? Or just throwing cards in as soon as they arrive? I'd like to put my name down for a Strix if possible ;)

        • It will more than likely be a model we have already offered, and unlikely to be a choice, it will be what comes in. The Eagle, Ventus and Galax are all approximately equivalent.

  • Any reason why the code won't work if we upgrade a few parts?

    • It would be a back end availability setting, let me check everything. Something may have gone out of stock too (Matrexx 55 Mesh is extremely limited for example). Can you see what's stopping it as you checkout? It should tell you.

      • NVM. Was using the wrong code :)

  • Hey luke i put in an order for the 3070 on the 30th but forgot to register interest in an upgrade of cpu.

Ive just emailed sales to upgrade and pay difference. any idea on response times? And whether im too late?

    • +1

Not too late, lots of emails so we may not be able to reply today, but your GPU and position in the queue is secured so it won't be a problem to upgrade you.

      • legend. thanks for taking the time to respond.

  • sorry if this is answered already but what are the estimated times we will receive the:
    1) 3070 setup
    2) 3080 setup (it just says pre-order on the graphics card?)

    • +4

3070 will be shipping within 14 business days.
      3080 see this reply

  • I have an old base model of surface pro 4.
I need a powerful PC for my new studies, plus love the idea of PC gaming.
My current mindset is to keep my surface pro, buy a solid gaming PC. If I want to work using desktop it is fine, if I want to move around the house and work from somewhere new, then use the surface pro 4 to remote in to the main PC and carry my work there.
I know I need Windows 10 pro on the main PC.

Has anyone done something similar to this? Any drawbacks, issues or anything else I need to consider?
Alternatively I can upgrade my surface pro to the latest model and spend twice as much as this PC to bring all in one.

    • This is my plan as well. minus the remoting in

As long as you have cloud storage of some kind OneDrive/Google/Dropbox you will be fine for productivity
You can sync with your preferred browser for history and tabs to follow you

For playing games you can use Steam Remote Play

      • Cheers , I was hoping to remote in to run my CPU/GPU intensive tasks. I am well sorted with carrying work from one PC to another but wanted to create a high performance machine to remote to to run heavy tasks if it makes sense

    • What are you studying?

      • Data Analytics which will have fair bit of ML

        • Both of my brothers have worked in data analytics for years and I've never seen them use anything more powerful than an average productivity laptop TBH :P

Maybe the industry is changing though?

          • +1

@ChadHominem: I understand you are trying to help, but I would appreciate more if we assume I need this PC and discuss if my scenario above work or not.

            • +1

              @aedalat: Yes, it will work

Considerations are network related, but if you're just going to be remoting in to run tasks and don't need flawless and low latency streaming then you should be fine with whatever you have already

              • +1

@ChadHominem: Thanks alot, I will research around it more but it is good to know it is doable.

  • Good price though. However 5600x and 3080 haven't come to their best price yet. Waiting for black Friday might be wiser

    • +4

Probably won't be any stock available of 3080s on Black Friday

      • +2

It will truly be a black Friday

  • So the ultimate question, wait for a 6800xt or jump on a 3080?

    • +5

what do you mean jump on a 3080? You'll be waiting longer than the 6800XT for a 3080 XD

    • +4

The ultimate answer, maybe just hold out a little longer for the 4080 :D

  • Is it worth $400 to jump from 5600x to 5800x?

    • +2

don't think the jump to 5000 series is even worth it from 3000 series

      • +1

Not at the launch prices, but the performance is there.

Unlikely to get cheaper now that intel is out of the game though

    • If you need more than 6 core 12 thread just get the 3700x, which should be cheaper now or if you can get quality used, though the later option is a major risk unless it's from someone you know.

      • It's likely that a 3700x will have less performance than a 5600x, especially in gaming

        • I believe so too. Might as well get Ryzen 3600 if you're aiming to have less performance than a 5600x.

  • Any review on the Leaper Air case? Looks like it's the only one that fits my omnidesk pc mount.

  • I'm looking to get my first desktop but I would like a mATX case
Would you guys recommend purchasing this and transferring to the case on my own?
Or should I just source the parts out myself.

I feel like its easier to claim a whole desktop for tax purposes than individual components
