Ryzen 9 5900X RX 6800/6800 XT 16GB Gaming PC [Tuf X570 WiFi/16GB 3200/480/850G]: $2699/$2799 + Delivery @ TechFast

5900X-6800-BFCM

Pretty epic launch overnight with AMD's RX 6000 cards now available. These are the AMD RX 6800 and 6800 XT reference cards and quantities are strictly of strictly-est limited. Estimated delivery times to us are from now into late November into December for our full allocation (we're getting allocation from multiple vendors). We are not going down the expected arrival month route - while we have forward orders in place again, once these first units are sold through the deal will expire until re-offered.

We're starting with the highest spec. If you're looking for a pairing with a lower end CPU we should be able to offer something early next year at this stage.

AMD Ryzen 9 5900X | AMD Radeon RX 6800 or 6800 XT Gaming PC: $2699 / $2799 after 5900X-6800-BFCM

  • AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12c/24t processor
  • AMD Radeon RX 6800 16GB / RX 6800 XT 16GB ($100)
  • Asus Tuf X570 WiFi motherboard
  • 16GB 3200MHz RAM (brand/model may vary)
  • 480GB 2.5" SSD (brand/model may vary)
  • 240mm RGB AIO liquid cooler (brand/model may vary)
  • Gigabyte Aorus AP850G 850W 80 Plus Gold power supply
  • DeepCool Matrexx 55 Mesh Add-RGB 4F ATX Case

EXISTING ORDERS LOOKING TO SWAP: There are extremely limited numbers of cards available and unfortunately there is no feasible way to offer existing orders the opportunity to switch over. Therefore if you have an existing order you would need to purchase one of these to secure one, then email us at [email protected] with the cancellation request for your existing order, which will be processed as soon as possible as a priority. I understand not everyone will have the funds available to do this, but if we said email us to cancel first, wait for refund, then purchase, chances are they would be gone.

Repeat: If you have an existing order, you'll need to buy one of these FIRST, then email us with the cancellation request for your old order. That's the only way we are able to manage it. We can't offer any swaps, sorry.

3080 and 3070 Updates
It does not appear that COVID lockdown here in SA will affect us directly. Plenty of dispatches have been and still are happening and more cards are inbound to us, so more 3080 and 3070 orders will be heading out daily. Again if you would like a direct update please email [email protected].

Have at it.

Luke

PCPP: RX 6800 price is $949 so we're able to come in slightly under on a brand new CPU and GPU where deal pricing is tougher, with of course full assembly, one lot of shipping and warranty.

    • noob question, can this do 4k video editing quite well?

      • +1

Put another 16gb RAM in there and itll be even better.

        • -4

Better than a Macbook for photo and video editing?

          • +1

@kobeduck: Apple use different software, its actually not comparable because of this (apply optimise their own stuff very well)

            • +2

@ATangk: Plenty of people use Adobe CC and Resolve on Mac's as well.

To the OP it sounds like you might be a bit new to video editing, in which case for light to moderate stuff the new mac's with M1 chips should leave you pretty satisfied if you work mainly in Final Cut Pro X or Resolve. Premiere Pro works but you would lose a bit of the speed advantage (Adobe is still due to release optimized apps for the new processors so that can change).

If you're doing heavy stuff and massive exports every day in Premiere then this desktop might suit you better, in which case I'd get 2x 16GB RAM instead of the 2x 8GB modules and also add in a NVME SSD.

              • +1

@serideth: Thanks for the useful reply. I don't know why I was negged for asking a question. I'm trying to come up with a valid reason to convince my wife to allow me to buy this haha

          • +2

@kobeduck: Not even close. The mac book will seem like shit compared to this.

            • -1

@9839002: You should check out 4k exports on a mac using Final Cut, it's absurdly fast.

This build will be better in certain things but credit where credit is due, the new ARM processors from Apple punch pretty high.

              • @serideth: and cost similar while being less functional.

                just for others interest.

perfect for a mobile work driver in creative industries

              • @serideth: I'd love to check it out but compared to a 5900x? I can't see a laptop competing.

      • Yes. Eat it for brekkie.

    • Hey luke I sent you a PM check it when you are free and ready.

I am interested in building a 3080 PC with a few more caveats.

      Cheers thanks.

  • +1

    Holy shit what a deal

  • +3

with AMD's RX 6000 cards now available

    Where?

    • +5

      hahaha the $950 dollar question

      • +1

        You mean $1050 question

        • +1

          you mean the $1049 question.

  • +2

YES. Been waiting for these deals. Full AMD rig with SAM enabled for that sweet free 5% boost (for some games according to hardware unboxed).

    • +1

Check the benchmarks for these cards.

      • +1

I did (hardware unboxed reference in first comment). Depends on which game, but I still game at 1080p high refresh rate so it did pretty well for what I need.

        • +2

Do you really need this rig to game at 1080p? rx6800/xt and 5900x? Isn't it an overkill by a large margin?

          • @518DOPE: Yeah this is overkill for 1080p, but they might want to upgrade later.

            • @giventofly: yeah might get that ultrawide Xiaomi/Kogan 144hz 1440p monitor later.

          • +2

@518DOPE: futureproofing for lads that don't often upgrade; i say good for minimum 7 years.

          • @518DOPE: as below I might upgrade monitors. But I wanna hit the 144hz max on AAA games on my current monitor too. I have a GTX 1080 and some only hit like 70fps

          • @518DOPE: Some games like AC still won't reach 240fps tho

  • Should I….. Hmmm why must you tempt me

    • you don't have the ball …

  • Did someone say MSRP prices :D

    • +4

      Menulog !

      ……..wait

  • +1

i been holding off to build my new PC but that would've been with a 5600

  • -8

OR for $2,649 you can buy This NVIDIA GPU without anything else - Galax GeForce RTX 3090
    https://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/buy/galax-geforce-rtx-309…

Goes to show how good value AMD is.

    • +2

The 6800 XT is a direct competitor to the 3080, not the 3090.

    • +1

Not really a fair comparison since the 3090 isn't equivalent to the 6800xt, the 3080 is much more of a competitor. The value is defs there in the cpu though, intel is way behind, so for sure go for an AMD cpu, but as for the graphics card, nvidia and amd are both good options.

    • +1

Goes to show what an AMD fanboi looks like. 6800xt is comparable to a 3080 and marketed accordingly.

  • +5

no love for 5600x, and no place to buy 6800xt myself

    • Patience… Don't get carried away with launch hype. Things will settle in another few months.

  • +5

Any chance of this deal with a 5600X CPU?

    • +1

Waiting for this too. Hopefully something pops up for us on black Friday/cyber Monday - although you'd imagine that would piss off everyone who ordered earlier.

  • +4

@luketechfast Will you be doing any 5600X combos with these GPUs soon?
Barely do productivity so don't need that much oomph. I know you said early next year for lower CPUs, just curious for this one in particular. Thanks

    • +4

Based on how this is already selling, I'm doubting the availability of cards for other Zen 3 chips even.

      • Dang, shortages affecting everything :/

  • Any way to downgrade or straight up remove the main ssd in it? I'll have my own to put in it later on so I don't really need the 480gb one.

Also, will putting in my own hard drive later (m.2 ssd) void my warranty with you or anything like that?

    • +4

We can't sub in or delete any components to reduce the price sorry.
Adding or changing the system doesn't automatically void warranty, but in the event of a warranty claim, any modification found to be the cause of or contributing to the warranty issue, may have an impact on the warranty.

Great to know this, thanks Luke

  • You mean to say… That I stayed up late to snipe a 6800xt last night (and may have failed, order still in limbo) and I hunted for a 5900x for nothing? Sad face. Wish I could refund and just buy your deal

  • +1

Thank you Luke and TechFast! Just ordered - been holding out for a while. Please keep us posted on timings!

  • can anyone confirm whats the height of the case without feet? Need to make sure it fits the OmniDesk undermount.

  • +1

says the AMD Radeon RX 6800 to RX 6800 XT 16GB Graphics Card sold out already?

    • +1

XT has sold out, confirmed. Sorry all.

      • Heck, already? Is this not an order for "when we get them", and we go into a queue?
Silly me for asking a question first and not just pulling the trigger, I guess.

        • +1

          From the description:

  • +1

Get a warning at checkout saying GPU sold out, do I just continue and hope for the best?

  • any reported problems with the Gigabyte Aorus AP850G 850W 80 Plus Gold power supply? is it reliable?

  • @luketechfast GPU upgrade is warning me it is sold out, and has removed itself from my cart?

  • +3

That 5900x is just pulling money out of most of your pockets. But hey, don't let me stop you, ozbargainers are clearly upper middle class these days.

    • -2

Enjoy pouring salt into comment sections? If you can afford it, buy it. Else move along.

      • +5

The site is ozbargain. Just giving some widely acknowledged product advice to ozbargainers.

    • +4

      OzConsoomAtAllCosts

    • Explain?

      • +2

5900x is just complete overkill and unnecessary if your primary use is gaming.

Even if you're looking to future proof your rig, you're much better off using the extra money for an M.2 SSD with more capacity, more RAM or a better graphics card.

        • Who said anything about gaming?

          • @sanur: The title of the deal?

            • @[Deactivated]: My eyes didn't even see that, I would expect Ozb users to know a marketing term when they see it. You should be buying it for the specs, not what it's labelled to do.

  • +6

Are we not going to party like it's the year 6800?

  • In with everyone else on the XT GPU upgrade showing as sold out.

Also, wanted to upgrade to the 32GB ram but it needs a motherboard upgrade which isn't an option (only the ASUS Tuf is shown as an option).

    • yep same

    • The ram it will still let you do, the X570 is above the min spec B450. But for only an extra $100 I definitely want the XT,

      • It let's you pick the ram but it also says Requires Min. B450 [AMD] / Z390 [Intel] Motherboard - the ASUS Tuf is X570 board so not sure if it'll work?

        • The X570 is better than the B450 so there's no reason why it wouldn't.

        • There's no system/automated barrier to prevent the order of the RAM upgrade, it's just text. You can go ahead and order.

    • Can confirm 6800 XT is sold out. The 32GB RAM is fine on the X570 - that line reads "requires min (minimum) B450 / Z390" as the option set is shared across multiple products. X570 motherboard supports 32GB 3200MHz RAM.

  • Rip 6800xt. Oh well maybe next time

  • Good deal, but not sure why you matched leading edge CPU/GPU with cheap Ram/SSD/Mobo

    • +1

Pressure from the suppliers + insight to keep prices down to target this very market.

    • The ram and SSD would most likely be fine enough.

There's nothing wrong with that motherboard?

      • ram speed

    • +2

That motherboard is pretty decent, more than enough for the average consumet

      • Yeah the ONLY issue with it is the its' WIFI 5 and not 6, IMO

    • I'm guessing that the suppliers had more supply available of X570 boards than B550 boards so they had to make do with what they could get for this deal.

  • Great value there

  • are people really that desperate for new GPU?

    • +1

The new GPU & new CPU are both currently in high demand and sold out almost immediately.

      • yes, i am well aware of that but what i don't understand is why? are people really upgrading their GPU at the same time? is it a must and a need to upgrade on the launch day? do you get to brag to your fellow PC enthusiasts in your forum/group for having the biggest and the greatest?

        • Whole new system perhaps?

        • yes tech consumption is flatchat. for some their first, others their yearly upgrade

    • Yeah, my PC is like 6 years old.

  • -2

Might be worth watching the new Linus video on the 6800 / XT before making the jump… 3080 is the winner, sadly.

I'm sure it's a good card but all things considered I'm happy with the $1k 2080 Ti I picked up before the 3080 release.

    • What are you talking about? They trade blows depending on the games and otherwise are within spitting distance.

3080 is currently anywhere from $300-500 more than a 6800/6800XT so I'd hope it wins for that much more.

For that huge saving for a few frames on certain games I'll get a 6800XT when I can, thanks.

      • +2

3080 beats 6800xt 4k performance pretty cleanly. That's not even bringing DLSS/RTX into the equation.

        • DLSS is definitely a killer feature and AMD doesn't have a clear answer to it, the newest versions of DLSS do such a good job of upscaling.

        • +1

Should 4K performance be considered? I'd bet that the vast majority of 3080 users would be using 1440p monitors, probably more using 1080p over 4k as well.

          • +1

@BROKENKEYBOARD: I'm using 4K so I would say yes. A growing amount of PC gamers are gaming on 4K devices (especially TVs). I get much better 4K performance than the next gen consoles and that is pretty much their main selling point.
