Death standing for $20. Might finally pick it up. Been holding off on it for a while as the game just did not appeal to me but I might finally pull the trigger on it for just $20.

What were others’ experiences with this game? Would anybody recommend it?

Still overpriced for what you get LOL

    • +3

On the contrary, I loved it. If you aren't sold after around 3 hours then it's not for you.

      • Yeah, I bought it at launch and put about 8 in hoping the story would get me past my dislike of the game play. I just couldn't do it which is a shame because I really wanted to like it.

    • +1

Skeptical at first but loved it and have 60+ hours. Same with my friend who thought I was crazy for enjoying it but now can’t get enough

    • +1

I also absolutely loved it. Very unique experience. I had over 100 hours on it. The UI is pretty complex at first but it is extremely well done. Much like iDroid in metal gear solid 5, there is a lot to take onboard at first but it soon becomes second nature. The storyline is really bizarre and kept me intrigued throughout. Graphics and soundtrack are amazing. Word of advice, in the first area of the game, don't hang around for ages trying to complete everything there. This is more of a tutorial area for the game which you can come back to later on to finish everything if you are a completionist. The game really opens up a lot in the next area (chapter 3 I think).

      • Thanks guys, will definitely try this game out now.

My local target has next to nothing gaming anymore

    • +1

It's fine, even if they had 'stock' they'll just cancel the orders with no excuse or compensation.

Not bitter about missing out on the Game & Watch I ordered.

      Totally not bitter.

Totally bitter, you won't be getting my money for as long as I can avoid it, Target

Come on Amazon for Death Stranding

  • +3

giving you a + for the effort.

  • +8

Comparing the PS4 prices and the Switch prices always hurts me. Why is Nintendo like this.

    • +3

Just use switch for exclusives and get a second hand ps4.

    • +1

      Why is Nintendo like this.

6 Switch games have comfortably outsold the PS4's best-selling exclusive, that's why.

      • -6

That just shows how many idiots there are!
Want another? Look at apple shitphones… >_>

BTW, PS4 best selling are God of war and Spiderman which sold over 20 million. Only 2 overrated Switch games sold more than that. Name those other 4 switch games that your wishful head thinks it sold more than 20 mil kid?

    • -1

      Cause they're greedy!
They're the apple of the video gaming industry…

  • Patiently waiting for Amazon to match on HZD for $12. Anyone know if they usually come down to match that low on Hits titles?

  • +2

Uncharted: Nathan Drake Collection is $24. Add Uncharted 4 and The Lost Legacy for $12 each and you've got basically the entire series (minus the PS Vita one) for under $50. Not bad.

  • "Please note that this doesn't look like the bundle that Kmart and Big W are offering"

    What are they offering?

    • +1

Switch + Mario Kart 8 Deluxe + 3 months of NSO for $20-$40 more than this.

  • +4

Just a warning, I bought some joycons and got this email back half an hour later. What a scam, out of pocket for a week.

I love how payments can always be processed in a matter of seconds, but for some reason it takes days / weeks to process a refund.

      • That’s why I always opt Amazon if the price difference isn’t much. They’re always timely with refunds.

        • Yeah thanks, I just saw the Amazon one and bought it there instead.

  • $58 for DS4 is pretty good

Also tempted by Death Stranding for $20. Must resist.

  • Is the Avengers $39 worth a try?

    • +3

No, I feel it will be Free to play in near future.

  • Thanks, picked up Death Stranding from my local Target, they only had two in stock :/

  • +2

Amazon has price-matched most of them.

  • +1

    Amazon matched the PS4 controllers.

  • Does anyone think Ghost of Tsushima will get any lower in price? Keen to pull the trigger :)

  • thanks OP! dont need to wait to tomorrow anymore for Big W's to kick in!

  • Super Mario Maker 2 is very tempting, can get it cheaper with 10% discount. Even though I prefer digital. Don't know if I should bite or just stick with my NSMBU Deluxe?
    decision decision

  • is the switch still worth buying, at this stage in the product lifecycle? isn't there a new one on the way

    • +1

Not really to be honest. But since more people are working from home, it’s still a very popular deal.

I’d look at GamePass streaming for the holiday season and possibly get my hands on with Switch Pro next year.

    • Officially there have been no announcements of a new switch next year. Not saying there won't be one, but if you're banking on there being one… well it doesn't exist as yet.

  • Thanks OP, picked up Ring Fit. Said click and collect should be ready today but I haven't heard anything. Item had "limited stock" at my store. What's people's experiences like with Target c&c?

  • And the switch is all sold out online and in-store it says now. Crap!
