    • did you apply the code on app or website. does not work for me

  • Does anyone know how to use Zip Money versus Zip Pay?

    https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/help/customer/display.html?node…
The deal and the above support page say its supported but whenever I link it only offers Zip Pay.

    • You can update your preferred account by logging in via the Zip web app @ zip.co

The next time you check out on Amazon it’ll update to your other account.

  • Thanks OP. Got the credit instantly off $500 GC.

  • Whew - the 50 credit came maybe 20 seconds after I checked my account.. I thought I had done something wrong. Thanks OP and for all the tips in the comments from the community!

  • Which Amazon gift card did you buy that lets you get the 10% cashback?
    Link?

  • So you get 10% back onto your zip account?
So only way to 'get' that $ is to spend through them again?

    • It's almost instant, so say you buy a $100 gift card, the $10 gets credited back and you only have to pay back $90.

      • +1

        Cool, ok…
So there's a $6 monthly fee is that per calendar month? or by month that you joined at?
ie: if we buy now, we have to wait for the credit to be applied before we pay it off to avoid the fee.. but if it takes a couple of days, this calendar month will be over and we'll have to pay the fee?

        nevermind.. found this:

If you make two purchases in February, you'll receive a statement on the 1st of March showing how much you owe for these two purchases. You'll then have until March 31st to pay this amount without being charged the $6 account keeping fee. If you do not pay the statement balance in full by the 31st of March, a $6 monthly account service fee will be charged on the account on the 1st of April.

    • I found it is quite a trap that you need to pay out full amount immediately otherwise there is $6 every month for outstanding balance, which is quite high.

      • As found above by Krondorf you should have until the end of the following month to pay off the balance to avoid being charged the $6 fee. If they've charged you that fee otherwise maybe contact them, I've had an issue with a cashback in the past and found them helpful (it was actually fine, I was just concerned because Amazon took the money after the end of the promotional period I might not get the cashback, but it went through fine).

        • Hi, Mac from Zip here. Kroon Ford is correct, you’ll receive a statement at the start of the month showing your previous months spend. Pay that off by the end of the month and we will waive the $6 fee.

          • @macleancherry: Hi rep, can you confirm that this will work with this other cachback?

          • @macleancherry: HI Mac,

Hi i have ordered something and as soon as the product is shipped, the transaction is confirmed on Zip and received the credits immediately.
I had to raise a return request for those items and ordered something else which is also a confirmed transaction on Zip however i haven't recieved the credits as i already got the max $50 cashback.

Once the initial products are returned to amazon and $ is refunded to Zip.. would the credit be applied to my next valid transaction ?

From the T&C of the offer… My understanding is that the refunds will be adjusted based on the overall amazon transactions minus returned/cancelled orders up to a max of $50. Can you please confirm ?

Any cancelled order(s) or items returned for a refund will not be eligible for 10% credit back. Should any Eligible Purchase/s be refunded the applicable credit back amount will be adjusted in accordance with the refund.

            Thanks
            spk

  • No. You get a $90 balance on your Zip account which you need to pay off, you can pay it immediately.

  • $400 on amazon for cards, $40 back almost instantly, paid back $330 as had $30 from previous pizza hut deals of $10 back.
    Pretty happy with that.

  • +3

I put through a purchase but the payment is still pending on Zip Pay. Probably won't clear until Amazon fulfils it (ships).

Then hopefully I will see the credit applied to my account.

Put through a purchase for a Ps4 controller… used Zip Pay… but my Zip account isn't even showing the activity… How long does that take?

  • Purchased a $500 Amazon gift card with the GIFTCARD5 promo code. Got $50. Awesome. Might buy another

    • +1

      Max $50??

      • Oh right, just read the "any number of purchases" bit. But looks to max out at $50

  • I just did that : $500 Amazon gift card with the GIFTCARD5 promo code . $500 GC turn up immediately .
The $50 Zip bonus was there immediately and the $5 I'm not too concern about :)

  • Anyone paid their order with gift cards and the total order including gcs amounted to the full 10% cashback?

  • If pay using amazon gift card do i get the 12perc cashback on shopback?

  • +1

Are there any limits to the number of times you can claim the cashback through ZP?
    1. Can you purchase $100 get $10 cashback and purchase another $100 and get a further $10? (multiple purchases below $500)
    2. Can you purchase $500 get $50 cashback and purchase another $500 and get a further $50? (multiple purchases beyond $500)

  • Ok so do you need to use the afiliate link on the zip.co page? Or does it get automatically applied to any amazon.com.au purchase as long as you use zip pay as the payment method?

    • Automatically applied if you pay with zip

  • When does Zip Pay pay the $10 referral bonus?

  • Do I get a tax invoice for purchases made with Zip Pay?

    • +1

You can get a tax invoice with any amazon purchase, it's just held under your order details.

      • Thanks! Just wanted to confirm because Zip pays Amazon in this instance. So it's invoiced to the person named on the delivery?

        • Not 100% sure, but couldn't imagine it would matter, the back end would be similar to them getting paid through a credit card or other provider. Your invoice should just say your delivery details and Amazon's details.

        • Basically the same as if you pay by credit card, it's in your name, payment method is Zip.

  • still worked at 14:25, bought $500 GC and been charged $450 on ZIP.

  • Anyone know if this works with an item bought through amazon.com.au but fulfilled by .co.uk?

  • To clarify all we have to do is pay with ZipPay ?

    • Yes

  • Still works, easy $15 in my pocket!

  • Placed an order about 15 minutes ago, giftcard hasn't come through yet :(. Fingers crossed makes it in time for the shopback cashback promo, otherwise I guess I'll use another zippay account…

EDIT Just came through, it's go time! Instant $50 rebate from Zippay

  • If I buy something that's $150 with $100 gift card credit and $50 on zip, do I only get 10% of $50 or the $150?

    • +1

      $50

  • Will this work for a pre-order? IE. An item currently out of stock?

    • Hi, no it won’t.

      Mac from Zip

  • Can this be stacked with the ZIP20 for $20 off first zip?

    • never mind just noticed it's for NZ sites only

  • I don't understand this. I have set up zip, chose that option to pay in amazon, entered my phone numnber to log in to zip, payment has gone through, items ordered. However, when I log in to zip and check my history it is not there as if I have not paid with it.

    • Same here. But I'm old.

    • Same thing here….although earlier when i did an order though zip it was applied instantly

    • Ditto

    • +1

Same, I figure it won't show up until shipped?

    • I even contacted zip about it. Seems a bit silly, I shouldn't probably worry that they not charge me at all if amazon considers it paid… But I am afraid that as a result the purchase will be cancelled and all of the black friday discounts will be scratched.

    • +8

If you purchase an actual item, Amazon puts a hold on the money, but they don't actually put it through until they're about to ship it. It should work fine once they've actually taken the money. The money is taken instantly for e-gift cards so that's why the cashback is instant.

I had this with a previous promotion where the money wasn't taken for a couple of days and the money was taken after the promotional period and I still got the promotional credit.

      • thanks a lot, now all clear!

    • same here…

it doesn't show up in the Recent Activity in the Zip account

      • This actually simplified some things for me. I was able to cancel the order without being billed for it at all! Very handy.

    • Hey there, Mac from Zip here.

This is the same flow as if you paid with card on Amazon, it’s just a bit more obvious on Zip because we update the app with transaction data instantly.

      • +1

Hi Mac, so if the purchase paid with zip via Amazon still pending after the promotional period, although the purchase is made during, will the 10% still be honored? If so, will it be before or after the charges have been finalised?

For example I purchased an item on 27th Nov (still showing as pending on zip), but likely to be shipped maybe in Dec (not a pre-order / backorder item), will I receive the credit only after the item has shipped?

        Thanks Mac.

        • Hi there, if it’s already pending then you’ll be fine.

You might need to reach out to us to hen the item ships if the credit isn’t applied automatically.

  • i don't even know what to buy on Amazon.AU ,
because much of what i want, is Out-Of-Stock or in the U.S. :-\

  • How do you pay Zip?
Is it the "Additional Payment" bottom left? Then enter your balance amount?

    • I found I couldnt do it via app. I needed to be on the desktop website for it to appear as a payment option

      • I saw it and used it via the Amazon app, as I was also targeted with an "APPONLY10" offer by Amazon as well. Hopefully they all stack!

  • Deleted duplicate comment

  • Does anyone know if using Zip means I dont get the benefit of price protection even if I use my credit card with price protection to pay zip straight away?

  • Damn it, I just preordered an item during SB's Amazon flash sale and rip $18. Should've just bought gift cards.

  • So does it work on each order? say for example order 1 and order both get $50 cashback each? is there a limit to it? Appreciate any help guys

    • Max $50 total cashback. Doesn't matter how many orders.

      • thanks

  • Does it still work if you used the Amazon AU but you purchased a product from Amazon facilities in USA.

    I bought these: https://www.amazon.com.au/SteelSeries-Arctis-Wireless-Gaming…

From the AU website, but US stock. Zip Pay has recognised a payment of $454 but I have yet to see any cashback

    • +3

      Hi, Mac from Zip here.

If Amazon lets you pay with Zip then we’ll honour it.

  • Have a question and wondering if anyone can answer

If I use my credit card to pay off zip on due date, is it considered as cash advance or normal payment? Which bank is not considered cash advance if you have done it before? Thanks!

    • Should just be normal. I bought my $500 on amazon, had the $450 show on zip then paid the zip balance from my card straight away. I have absolutely no use for zip other than a discount.

  • Doesn't work with alcohol, from personal experience today haha

  • So I just selected Zip pay as an option at checkout with creating a zip account. I figured it would prompt me to make an account or something but it just went through. No idea what to do. Just wait? Make a zip account and cancel/re-order?

    • Same here. I was expecting at least an email from Zip but nada.

  • $50 instant zip credit with $500 amazon gift card zip pay purchase. Mission Complete.

    • +1

Competed once you have paid zip back.

      • nope got it straight away before repaying

        • Wait you have to pay them back?!

      • We don't like to think of that part :)

  • I purchased something last night through Zip pay for the first time and its not showing anything in my account still?

  • Is this max $50 per zip account or single transaction?

    • Total $50 off per account, can do multiple orders

  • Does this stack with the black friday $20 off coupon?

  • After I make my account, would they charge me money for using Zip?

    • Not if you pay it back before the end of the month

"Your Zip Pay account has a monthly account keeping fee of $6. However, this is only charged when you have an outstanding balance at the end of the month.

You'll receive a statement with the closing balance of the month on the 1st day of the following month. You have until the end of the month to pay off your balance for the account to remain fee-free.

For Example: If you make two purchases in February, you'll receive a statement on the 1st of March showing how much you owe for these two purchases. You'll then have until March 31st to pay this amount without being charged the $6 account keeping fee. If you do not pay the statement balance in full by the 31st of March, a $6 monthly account service fee will be charged on the account on the 1st of April."

  • So I bought a number of items yesterday, and I can see that there's the "Used" portion and a "Pending" portion in my account, along with a payment scheduled for some time next week. Does anyone know whether I need to pay the whole thing off to avoid the $6 account keeping fee, or merely the "Used" portion before the scheduled payment date next week?

    • +1

To avoid the fee you have until the end of December to pay it all off if you purchased this month.

  • I still haven't gotten my $50 promo from the PS5 purchase using Zip

    • We’re talking to Amazon about this at the moment, there will be an update this week.

      • Hi Mac,

I made my purchase on the 27 November thru Zip Pay on an Amazon product that will not ship until Dec 15. Since the product hasn't been posted, Amazon hasn't taken payment from Zip Co and will only process payment sometime in December.

Is that transaction still eligible for cashback if Amazon takes payment from Zip outside of the promotional period?

        • Hi, provided the item meets the eligibility criteria then yes it is.

You may need to reach out and provide confirmation of your order when the transaction goes through.

  • Just bought $500 GV and $50 back in account in under 5mins. Cheers OP

  • can I redeem all three merchant discounts by combining cashrewards / shopback credit + amazon code + zip pay ?
