Got this as a Game Pass machine. No regrets. This thing is better than what it looks like on paper.

The November 10 2020 sx sits in the wardrobe strapped to a 10 metre hdmi cord, running on fire At times, but overall for $264 bucks with eb trade in Bargain.
Yup It runs at 1080p, with pc RGB settings, while a bummer seeing all the red indicators the TV doesn't support:
HDR, 4k, 120, movie scaling, Atmos, I think it's 13 unsupported things the TV doesn't support.
Still worth it tho.

I run my series s with 4k tv, hdr and have no issues. IF you have a good tv and are a casual gamer, the series s is great! 512gb is a bit of a bummer, but again for a casual gamer, not a big deal and im sure third party ssd's will be available soon enough
For those of you interested in running emulators, check out Modern Vintage Gamers Youtube site on what the Series S can actually do. No regrets on my purchase.

The only thing important on the series edition console is someone cracking it for Windows desktop mode, that would make Phill Spencer evaluate a heart attack.
it seems like microsoft is going to sell the series x soon, if you go to https://www.xbox.com/en-AU/consoles/xbox-series-x#purchase the "BUY NOW" button is not disappearing anymore, but if you click it, it will say "Out of stock", however, if you have some basic js/react knowledge, you can easily make it think it IS in stock and enable the button for you.
There are a few ways to do it, but the easiest to follow is:
Using chrome with React dev tools installed, enable dev tools, use the element selection (CTRL SHIFT C), select the "out of stock" button, then click the Components tab, you'll see the component tree, click Button and then click the <> (view source for this element) button on the top right corner of the dev tool, place a breakpoint on line 24 (var prefix =…) and refresh the page, it will break on that line… now the boring part, when the code breaks on that line, hover the mouse over props and check if disabled is true, if it is, then change it to false by double clicking "false", then type "true" and hit enter. Then click the play button (resume) at the top-right corner.
when the code stops breaking, go to Elements tab, double click the html code corresponding to the button and remove the "disabled" from it.
After you've done that, click the "out of stock" button and it will be added to your card and you can complete the order.

yes, every time that breakpoint is reached it means that button is being rendered and it uses those values to decide how to render it, so if that property is true, then it will render as disabled and also set that as internal state, this whole process is about setting the internal state so when you enable the html button (last step) it will use that internal state to proceed.
it doesn't keep changing to true, it's because something else is triggering the button to be re-rendered and that true comes from a higher level component.
@Sixty Nine: np! I I just noticed that I can't cancel the order anymore, I could see a "Cancel" button in my order page, now it's gone… I think it's a good sign! =D
@bp1984: I think this wins the thread. I would have assumed they will get manually cancelled at some point. But keep us updated.

@MonkeyFace: I tried 20 min ago for a friend and it worked… Im not home now to try at my pc, I don't think they would have fixed it as this is not really a bug, but unless they add server side validation, there will always be a way of doing this

@bp1984: Thanks, just called Microsoft and they placed the order for me over the phone. Said it should ship as soon as payment is verified and delivery in 5 to 10 business days. Did your receipt say "we will withdraw payment upon shippment"? Cause they already charged my card so hope they ship today!

@bp1984: Yeah, I called and told them it's in my checkout and I cant place order for some reason. She said no problem i will do it for you now and asked me if I wanted xbox live plus gamepads for 1$ for next 4 months. I said sure. Total cost 750, she said it should be delivered in 2 to 5 business days.

I got around it by calling Microsoft and saying I cant check out so they did manually. But wonder if its just on my pc or same for everyone now

Am at the checkout and am debating whether or not to tap the place order button. I'm a little concerned about potential repercussions (like Microsoft account ban), considering we aren't exactly using allowable methods to order the console.

I got to the "place order" part at the very end before u process everything. But ill get a yellow message saying "Unable to purchase the order at the moment – please try again". Is that just happening to me now or they finally caught up with the run around?
that's what was happening before I could place my order, I believe this time it's really out of stock… but try once or twice per day, that's how I could place my order

On a side note, I got my own shipped and on the way to Sydney (but I'm trying to get my friend who is desperate to get it through legitimate ways, but is open anything at this point within reason). I'll post when I get it in hand!

The Series s is the ultimate portable console. It’s so tiny that it fits backpack. Get a portable USB powered monitor, and an external Hdd, and you have something pretty cool. All your games on the go. Just need 1 plug.
The bad side is the segate hdd and woeful internal storage. But the games run really well.
I know this probably aint the right place for this but what are people using to track when the series x is coming available?
