        • I've ended up connecting both, mainly in case i want to watch music vids etc to the DAC-> monitor speakers for better sound than the soundbar. no vol control then though.

    • I have paired it with my TaoTronics TWS earbuds. The sync is pretty good on FTA TV. But using the YouTube app it's choppy af. If I cast YouTube from my phone and have the earbuds connected to the TV, it's not choppy at all go figure.

      • Think when i tested my Chromecast with google TV is was wayout but must have paired to something else i hope, mentioned it the google devs should put in a sync adjustment. For a cheap 4k telly it's pretty good. optical or hdmi arc better i think.

  • Anyone still waiting for delivery?
Toll aren’t giving me any confidence they know where the parcel is and when it will be delivered

    • When I ordered the 55” to be delivered it sat in the toll warehouse in Melb for almost a week. So much for “next day priority”

    • Must be something with their shipping/collection procedure, mine was store ordered and was meant to go out the next day.
Someone from Big W ended up delivering it personally on the Saturday. Was some mix up, apparently four went out on the day mine was suppose to.

Anyway still going fairly good I think, I assume HDR is automatically on for such content? Occasionally the power controls get a bit mixed up with the Chromecast Google TV and Soundbar compared to my Sony, but if Eko makes it in the list may sort that out, been meaning to email support.

      Cheers,

  • Any more feedback to those that have it?
Hopefully lasts a while, probably have a buyer for my old one.

As promised after a week of ownership time for my 2cents

    The Positives ———-

*Picture Quality: The picture quality of this unit is fantastic for its price point, very little light bleed, no dead pixels, great bright whites and dark blacks.

    • Build Quality and design: The Frameless design gives this a beauitful aesthetic compared to its bezel laiden brethren and the frame feels like its of a high standard.

    • Inbuilt Chromecast: Works just like any other chromecast with the ability to chrome cast from your device no dramas at all saving you ~$80-$100 and the hassle of taking up an input.

    • Sound Quality: The inbult speaks are suprisingly pretty decent in a quiet room when compared to previous Ozbargained TV's ive purchased in its price range such as Hisense, Platinum and Bauhn.

    • Sound Connectivity: The TV supports multiple outputs, Bluetooth, Optical out, Aux out and HDMI ARC which provides amazing flexibility

    The Negatives ———-
    • Inbuilt Chromecast: Running on android 9.0 The in built chrome cast menu is very slow when compared to an external chromecast device with quite a delay in response from the remote, however once youve selected your app its unresponsiveness seems to go away.

    • Sound Connectivity: Although it sports alot of connectiveness, the bluetooth audio over a longer episode or movie appears to desync and fall behind which is quite annoying (possibly running an older bluetooth version?) , the edifiers I have paired to this do not experience this on either an apple TV or other chromecast devices, the Tv's optical out would have been a great remedy for this however the optical out sound works great when in the menu or on an actual TV channel, but once youre in an app it switches straight back to the TV's inbuilt speakers regardless of what output device you have selected in the TV's settings, the Aux out remedies this albiet not ideal.

** Overall Rating: Definetly worth the purchase at $699 even with the sound connectivity issues **

Nice review, agree pretty good for the price. Shame about bluetooth sync, found it better than with my chromecast google TV but didn't watch a whole episode etc. HDMI ARC is probably the go if you have a soundbar (or could be worth getting something wired).

The builtin Chomecast works ok I thought, but still using Google TV anyway (has atmos support) as I got it for the old TV which was running Android 5. It's a bit of a double up but that's something you could consider also. The remote is pretty nifty, and can grab either remote for TV control.

Got $500 for my Bravia so not much extra for this. No doubt Sony was better for free to air and 1080p but can't complain I guess.

Hopefully it is built to lasts a few years, or keep returning every 90 days :P

    • The TV supports multiple outputs, Bluetooth, Optical out, Aux out and HDMI ARC

Can it passthrough surround with ARC?

    • Disney+ app 5.1 audio doesn't seem to work via optical out. My Logitech Z5500 detects it as "Dolby Digital 3/2" but it's only 2 channel stereo. The downmix mode is set to surround in the sound settings too. 5.1 via optical works on FTA channels though. Even if I cast it from my phone instead of using the TV app, it's the same thing.

      • Hmm i guess the main use it a 4k panel at the end of the chain, I used to have AV receivers and all that stuff. used to try and make the TV the main control but in the end the receiver should be. May not help that issue, not sure. Could always return anyway and put it towards an LG CX OLED :P

  • Noticed The tv output seems to favour d-in (optical) over HDMI arc, guess just have to change the soundbar input even tho optical isn't plugged into that device. Just noticed gets out of sync but not an issue if I just use Google TV.. don't watch free to air that often and can stream a lot of it except sports

  • One member complained about corner vignetting in QLED models. Did anyone else notice the same problem

    • most panels get this, it's hardly noticeable (slightly darker in corners) - can't really expect the tv to be perfect in all areas for this price? It's pretty good i think though, otherwise I'd get roped into spending heaps more on something.

  • Purchased 65" QLED but colour looks different in Eco mode – people look more like embalmed body

I switched the picture to cinema (movie) mode and colour seems to be better.

Can someone please recommend custom colour setting in the EKO QLED TV ?

    • There were a few posts here and here which I've used, as recommended by CVonC, and find them pretty good. In general most people recommend turning the motion and processing type settings off.

  • picked up one for myself and my father in law picked up one also (Murray Bridge, SA)

Is there anyway to get this working with a Harmony Remote? as I am running audio to my Yamaha amp via Optical.

edit: I used this TV model which looks like the identical TV https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B08469WLC6?smid=ANEGB3WVEVKZB

    Blaupunkt BP650USG9200

Works well enough for me on my Harmony 650. Turns the TV on, can navigate Android TV etc.

many thanks goes to albot on page 2 for pointing me towards this.
