Better to get the Belkin for $9 or Anker for $7, Apple one really is ez to break

are they original MFI ? catch have a lot of fakes…

      Looks like it

      Model: Lightning to USB-C Cable | MQGJ2FE/A

  • Thanks op

  • get $20 code from little birdie

    • Min spend $100?

  • Cheap, but I think these are much more plentifully available given they come standard with so many Apple products now. I know I regret buying a couple of these.

  • fakes?

    • +1

      Well model number says

      MQGJ2FE/A

If it's fake do a chargeback.

  • I have purchased from catch and confirm that they are fakes despite the ad (and support) claiming they're genuine https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/570490

    • Not exactly bought from Catch when your title says Personal digital

      • True. YMMV.

        • For this deal:

          Country of origin: N/A

Same as the one in the previous deal you posted. The previous deal quoted: MKQ42AM/A, which is the product code for the 2m cable.

Anyway, thanks for your comment earlier.

          • @netsurfer: They copy the same description just like you can on ebay when making a listing.

            • @Pricebeat: So this one isn't safe either.

              • @netsurfer: This is sold by Catch, other listing is by Personal digital. Buying from third party seller on Catch and saying I bought it from Catch and it’s fake is like buying from third party seller on Amazon and saying Amazon sold me fake.

                • @Pricebeat: I do want to know the country of origin. Also, Apple's 1m USB-C to lightning cable suffered a cost cutting measure from Apple years ago (it's impossible to get the USB 3 version from retailers or Apple now), as Apple removed all the USB 3.0 data pins on the 1m version. Shipping is ~$7.

  • I bought 2 for $4 each through ebay.

Pro tip - use white heatshrink to protect the end points of the cable. These fray easily

    • Which ones do you use or a video that can help, thanks

      • +1

You can get heat shrink from Jaycar.

        Here’s how ya do it…

        Hope this helps!

    • I too use heat shrink.

I know others use air drying clay.
