From Friday at 10am, the Victorian government is offering 40,000 Victorians $200 'vouchers' to travel within Victoria between December 12 and January 22 as a stimulus for the tourism industry.

You have to spend over $400 on one of the following categories to get the $200 back:
- accommodation
- tours
- local attractions

Exclusions are gaming, alcohol (except if alcohol is included in wine/brewery/distillery tasting type tour but excludes any alcohol purchased and consumed outside of the experience), fuel, food and drinks (except where packaged with an eligible expense such as a winery tour), groceries, personal items such as clothing and accessories, transport costs (rental vehicles, train and bus tickets).

It's really a reimbursement from the government though – travellers have to apply for the voucher, pay for the travel upfront and then receive a reimbursement from the government.

Still, $200 back on your trip is still $200 back!

Another 40,000 vouchers will be available on January 20, and may be redeemed for travel from January 27 to April 1, and the final batch of vouchers will be released on March 30 for use from April 6 to May 31.

Update: An extra 30,000 regional tourism vouchers will be made available to Victorians at 12PM today. Sold Out

Round 2: 40,000 vouchers will be released from 20 January 2021, 10.00am for travel between 27 January 2021 to 1 April 2021. Sold Out

Round 3: 30 March 2021, 10.00am, for travel between 6 April 2021 to 31 May 2021

        I was seeing all the errors, the down for maintenance page, 500 internal error & Salesforce error page (with yellow clock). Just complete one step at a time, click next/Submit & keep refreshing to progress through. One of three errors will keep displaying in between steps but keep refreshing.

        I clicked on "Save draft" a couple of times as well, I then got a "Draft Form Acknowledgement" email, clicked on the link to bring up my saved application & persevered through to submit.

      I was part of the loop, eventually it went to the account open, which eventually went back to the loop, which eventually went to down for maintenance, which eventually got through for submitted :) good luck

        Save & Submit > Register account or login page > Create account > back to Save & Submit > Submitted

        With lots of maintenance errors and F5-ing in between.

    Submitted!!! Ended up logging in on desktop, found the application and resubmitted 5 times. On phone refreshed 100 times still wouldn't load.

        During the process it will ask you to create an account with a 13 character password. Had to resubmit that like 50 times. Once that created then it saved my application and let me log in on another device to submit.

    What slayed the final boss is this:
    Log into your account on mobile https://businessvic.secure.force.com/
    Then open the draft document from that and save and submit.

      Try logging in on another device with your password. I managed to find my application and re-submit on desktop. Took about 5 refreshes for me. I was stuck on mobile refreshing on the last step for 15 mins.

    What happens if you don't use up your voucher during the travel period. I'm guessing it doesn't get rolled over to the next period.

      Not a voucher lol you will be reimbursed the cost of the trip after evidence has been submitted of the travel. That way they guarantee it would be used and not people getting them and not using them at all

      I called them about this and they said there was nothing in the guidelines about names on the receipt so I assume can be under anyone's name.

      I believe you're only allowed to apply for one of the rounds.

      From the FAQ:

      How many vouchers can individuals get? Is there a limit?
      Vouchers are available strictly one per household across all rounds of the scheme. Vouchers are not transferable.

    Success, had the original window going (hitting F5) and opened up a second one from https://businessvic.secure.force.com where I could access the draft application. It was the original application window that submitted, so keep being patient and hit F5

      Save your page at the last screen. Open link in MS Edge and submit, F5 for any outages until you submit.

    Finally got it

    The trick is, When you are prompted with error msg, DO NOT click on 'Back' hyperlink as it will force you to start the process again.
    What you need to do is hit 'page refresh' button on your browser a few times (be patient), then the page that you were at will appear again (with all information you've filled in still intact).

    Exactly 3 hours of F5'ing….SUCCESS. Anyone know where to buy a new F5 key?

    I tried multiple devices and browsers, would get to the page of filling out personal details and would crash, meaning I'd have to restart. Once I got past that page the submission did not take longer than 3mins.

    I wonder how much this has cost the economy considering none of us have done any work today.
