Of all the magnificent biscuits that have come and gone in my nearly 40 years, how these are still kicking around I will never know. They are like the cockroaches of the biscuit world and every year they sit alone in the middle of the Christmas table untouched until the end of the day when everyone is blind drunk and these are the last snack left standing.

Ahaha it's a bit like that, isn't it.

There's a certain nostalgia or novelty associated with these tins but most of the ingredients after the flour and butter are pretty much rubbish. I'd rather a quality shortbread biscuit at this time of year.

    • +1

blasphemy, next you'll say corinthian wafers are not awesome

      • +1

Corinthian vanilla wafers are god tier

        You’ll survive, you always do.

    • +2

These are one of my favourite biscuits. Already been through a couple of tins of them from Aldi in the past couple of months

    • :)

  • Is this better than the one sell at Big W?

    • Honestly i think its the same deal with car batteries. All made in the same factory and they stick a different label on it for different companies

      • +1

The ones in the small tins from Big W are made in China, so can't be the same.

        • +2

They can make these tins here instead of importing Chinese Danish cookies, it's not that hard right?

      • +2

I have tried many Danish cookies but the others dont even come close to Royal Dansk taste.

  • +3

454g, very odd number I thought, but it's 1 imperial pound.

    Kinda weird

  • Shows as unavailable for me. If it was available, it would've sucked though - just bought a few $5 ones from BIG W.

  • +1

Too much childhood trauma related to these tins.

    • Are you alright there bruh ?

      • +7

Probably expecting biscuits but tin had sewing kit instead.

  • Need butter shortbread to accompany, any suggestion?

  • -1

    only 26% butter..

    • That sounds about right. They're not shortbread.

      • Not made in Australia too…

    • +1

      Uhh based on what?

  • Unavailable online and unavailable at every single store remotely close to me…

    • +5

Try Coles, they have it for 50c more. Found them at the end of an aisle (not in the biscuit section)

      • Thanks. Although, I'm not quite interested in these biscuits enough to specially divert from my regular Woolworths supermarket.

      • the Coles ones I found tastier than the Woolies ones.

  • +1

These cookies are very healthy… you butter believe me.

    • I get weak and crumble at the thought of these cookies.

  • +1

    It's a trap

    • you were expecting biscuits but you saw sewing kit didn't you?

  • Now $2.25 but stock appears scarce.
