  • Great deal, consider how difficult to get the 3080.

  • Good deal.

AW is using their own version of RTX 3080 with dual fans only. Check out some review videos and other details online before you pull the trigger.

It'll probably thermal throttle GPU/CPU (even with liquid) like every other recent Dell… I think they might be doing it to force an upgrade every couple years.

Customer: Why do you design PCs that thermal throttle?
Dell: Not all of our customers need good performance.

  • Also comes in the "Dark side of the Moon" casing

Anyone know what the price would be for just the components?
I want to play Cyberpunk on something better than my PS4 over Christmas…

This won’t be arriving before Christmas…

My rx 580 handles it fine. You don't need 3080 for cp

    • Just go one by one and check retail prices, and let us know once you are done. 😉

I bought one of these on the previous special (ebay) I think I paid $3800. Definitely worth it. The 3080RTX runs at 1950Mhz. The RAM timings are also very good on these. The downside is you cannot buy non-Dell HyperX ram with the same timings.

At the time there I had no option to select CPU so I got the 10900F, but if you have the option may as well spend the extra $100 and get the 10900KF. Benchmarks are not much better, but you should be able to overclock if that's your thing.

    Delivery time was 3 weeks

    • what chipset is the motherboard?

      • Z490

And I forgot to mention it has a 1000w PSU

    • Similar experience, though I opted for 64 GB ram.

    • I bought one of these, but with the i9, 32GB RAM and RTX3090, from the previous deal, but Dell ripped me off
      Instead they sent me an
      i7 10700F with 16GB RAM and a GTX 1660 TI.
Sent it straight back, still waiting for it to be delivered so I can get my money back.

      • oh man… that's a pretty huge mistake

While the tower is good value the addons are not, I'd even say some of the addons are bordering on false advertising

  • I think it is a fair price. This my rundown by component:

    10900F ~ $650
    Windows 10 Home, 64-bit, English ~ $150
    NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 3080 10GB GDDR6X ~ $1500
    32GB Dual Channel HyperX ~ $240
    512GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD (Boot) ~ $100
    1TB 7200RPM ~ $60
    Motherboard ~ $300
    1000W Power Supply ~ $300
Lunar Light chassis with High-Performance CPU Liquid Cooling ~ $300
    Wired Multimedia Keyboard - $25
    Wired Optical Mouse ~ $10

    Total: $3,635

    • I was temped to buy it, but this review demonstrates it can get pretty noisy - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgd5s6GWMnQ That's sad, a few more fans, and the build might much quieter. So pass from me.

      • It's really not that bad. On Performance mode all the fans run full speed and it's pretty loud, but normal playing I think I only once got the fans fast to the point where it was noisey

        • Sure, it might work for some, but it is not good enough for me.

      • Insanely ugly AF case in my opinion too.

        • I wouldn't mind that, but I understand it can be off-putting for some people.

        • The old Area 51 cases looked awesome. Not sure why they got rid of them.

  • The problems of all Aurora from Alienware are: 1. only pcie 3.0 x8 even if only 1 slot is in use 2. you can only put graphic card up to 275mm long given the tight space.

  • will cashrewards work with this?

  • does anyone know what M.2 this comes with?

Anything short of a Samsung M.2 is pretty much a disappointment which I am expecting
