    I am so confused about how to use these reward programs. Why does all shopback transactions come up as pending whereas cashrewards tells you the amount right away? That's if either pick up the transaction.

      Same here, I contacted cashrewards and in their reply was a list of all the standard reasons why it might not track - antivirus, popup blocker, unlisted promo codes, etc was one reason I hadn't heard of before:

      3 Clicking through to another page from a banner, pop-up, or advertisement on the store’s webpage whilst shopping

      Which is what I did CashRewards => Liquorland homepage =>clicked big banner to go to beer specials. If that was enough to neutralize my cashback thats a pretty sweet loophole/booby trap.

      Yep. Sleaze merchants. I lost out on ~$50 cashback from recent Dell monitor deal from Shopback. I got some standard copy paste hogwash about adblockers, browser etc as to why I didn't go through. Never had this issue with CashRewards.

      • Loads of people having issues with Dell, myself included.

        • It's pretty annoying. They advertised the 10% cashback on the front page. It actually took up decent amount of real estate on their website and the bloody thing doesn't work. I would hate to think they pocket the $$$ from referrals and just shaft us with the copy paste reason why it was 'unsuccessful'.

      The last time I used ShopBack, it was for 10% and it didn’t track then they blamed the merchant. Then said give them up to 35 days or depending how long the merchant takes to get back to them. Of course I never heard back. Bullshit.

        I have already submitted my claim to SB twice on the 10% ebay deal, and was rejected both times. Does looking into it again today change anything? Or will SB just send me the same generic list of possible reasons why my purchase did not track? I've already received a few of those emails and don't need another one.

    Last Shopback-Liquorland deals didn't track for me. One is still pending after 3 weeks with a note my $10 cashback will be available in March 2021, because the seller (Liquorland) has 3 months to verify if I don't cancel my booking. W-T-F!

    • Two negs so far? I don't get it, but hope it works smooth for you all, despite 10s of people negging SB deals recently for the very same reason I described.

      Otherwise, if you'd rather not risk, there's hardly a thing that's not cheaper at Dan Murphy's.

      • You don't seem to understand how ShopBack works. If your order is in Pending status, it means your order has tracked. It normally takes couple of months before the cashback is confirmed. When the status changes to Confirmed, it means the cashback is in your account for you to access as long as it meets the minimum withdrawal requirement.

          Thanks for claryfing. That's different to the experience I had with Cashrewards, as far as I remember. I didn't book anything with Liquorland, nor I can return the booze, so what SB interface says is silly.

          And it doesn't change the fact I had to manually submit claims and receipts for each purchase with SB/Liquorland, incl. the one I described as "pending" above, and the remaining ones were not acknolwedged and now they're in some 35-day appeal limbo again.

              None of my orders tracked, I had to submit claims with receipts for each of them. One was acknolwedge and now marked as "pending" - Shopback says it's going to be like that for the next three months to ensure I don't cancel, exchange or return my bottle of Captain Morgan. Cool, that's just generic message, creating a poor experience in my context.

              Other untracked purchases I manually made claims were rejected (like, actively rejected - not untracked or pending) and automatically went to the appeal limbo as I mentioned.

              It all takes a customer's time and effort, and since there are seemingly others like me, it creates a great opportunity for making money on people who can't be bothered.

              Fingers crossed for your purchases, but can't be bothered with all the paperwork and waiting another time.

  • I've had orders tracked but the amount stuck in "Calculating" for more than a month now. Does anyone know how to report these problems? I tried to click on the "Report A Missing Cashback" button but could not select the date (it said "No option").

  • Last purchase (Liquorland) didn't track and they said it was Liquorland's fault. I would avoid.

    • Same here, ordered BWS during extra cash back offer, followed all instructions and it failed to track. I logged a claim, they said they “investigated” it and said that the seller had advised them it didn’t meet requirements which is rubbish.

      Placed an order for this at 1:15pm and no tracking email advise as yet

      • Yeah I was wondering that too. Not picking up till I get the confirmation. It says if you don't collect in 3 days they'll refund but there must be a way to request earlier. Maybe if it causes enough grief to liquorland they'll just drop shopback as a partner due to their dodgy antics and time wasting for everyone involved.

      • Like I mentioned above, my ShopBack tracking typically takes 2-3 hours, but it can take up to 5 hours (or more).

        My suggestion:

        1. Wait until tomorrow to receive the tracking.
        2. Then, if it hasn't tracked, either:
          1. Wait the 2 full days and then raise an issue with ShopBack if it still hasn't tracked.
            or
          2. Give up:
            1. Ring Liquorland Customer Support (1300 300 640) and ask them to cancel your order. (Be prepared to wait 10-40 minutes.)
            2. Keep an eye on your bank statement to make sure the charge has been reversed. (Mine still hasn't been reversed from 19 days ago!!)1

        1. EDIT: Long story short—1) Cancelled order with Customer Support, which they didn't actually do. 2) Found order waiting for me when I went to pick up my other two orders. 3) Cancelled order with the store Team Member. 4) Instead of cancelling it, the Team Member put it "On Hold". Sigh! 5) Rang CS again and they say they've actually cancelled it now. 5)🤞

  • Mine only tracked the original 3%. I sent email to shop back support, 2 days later and a screenshot and receipt they then apologised had my cash back was tracked in full.

  • I thought it was just me that had orders that didn't track. I purchased over $500 worth of items and it never tracked.

    • I wonder why it never/only sometimes tracks for some people and yet for others, like me, it always tracks?

      For the record:

      • I always order using Safari with multiple tabs open on an iPad running iOS 12
      • I always use a no-blocking VPN (usually, but not always, set to an AU server)
      • I always checkout as a guest, never logged into an account.
      • Recently I've always started with an empty cart and got to the product pages using the search field, though in the past I've already had the cart preloaded and not had any issues.
      • I would not have thought any of the above dot points would be recommended. Safari, ipad, vpn? Do you ever have your orders rejected 2 months down the line, or are you just lucky.
